First signs of pistols....

Yep, it's a gurl...

12 Oct 14, Sunday, Day 86, Week 13, Day 2, Day 8 of 12/12, Day 2 of Pistols showing...
Pistols are beginning to be seen throughout plant. So Blue Mystic begins to flower a week after flipping. I hope this seems fast but it's my first time with this strain. Any comparisons out there??? Last grow "White Widow" and the 96*3 pistols showed on day 10. On day 7 for this current gurl.

Mains are at 13" and canopy overall is at 7". The res rim is 20X12" and she fills it up nicely and beyond the rim. Plant is about 20X16". The plants mains are now 12" from the light and the light is at it's highest level.

Giving her a week more of growth then hit her again with defol. Trying to slow down the stretch at this point. All the large fans must go even those out pointers. And need to open up the middle a bit more.

RH ranges are between 40-56 with lights on average at about 40-45

Air temp ranges are between 79-88 with lights on average at about 82-84

Res temp seems to remain in the mid to high 70's

PH ranges between 5.7 and 5.9

Overall I'm very, very pleased with my "Spider". The temp problems seemed to have worked themselves out but would highly recommend something to circulate the air and help maintain the temps. It can get very hot in there without intake fans and circulation fan.

Everyone have a great work week....

Happy Skunkday my friend:):Namaste:Looking good Renegade!!!:) not to be nosey but why did you have to unsub from the other forums....conflict of interest?:) let me know if im being to nosey and i will shut up and smoke sum more:):volcano-smiley:

Not nosey at all...

Just plan conflict....

Tired of all the bullshit going on there.

Keeping my head in my journal only.

Smoke some for me...

Whew....LOL.

Done pouting....

Got a PM from someone I respect and heard that the rules and guidelines have changed some to control the BS. It was a long time coming.

Quick update on my gurl....

Went ahead and did some defol on her last night. I figured now is just as good as next week.

Gotta slow her growth. she's within 12" of the light and the light has no where to go...

I'll take pic mid week...

Full res change out this upcoming weekend.

Glad to have you stop by Green....

The week goes on and so does life. But we all get back up and try it again...LOL.

Will have pics of my gurl tonight...

The same old story.... She refuses to be kept down....

I've cut away as many of her fans as I could to slow her down but it hasn't helped...

She's about 10" from the light. Yes, it's up from Sunday and looks to be about an inch a day.

Pistols are pop'n out all over the place so I'm very happy about that.

Next milestone is trichomes starting to show.

What's crackin....LOL.

So our gurl is doing her usual. Driving me crazy with the growth. I'll be prepare come the next Flux with a new tent or two. Which means no more height or width limitations. The new tent is only a 3X3 but it gives me more than I have now (34"X19")....dam that just hit me...LOL. I have plans to get another 3X3 or 4X4 for my side by sides later in the summer. The current height is 53" with 41" from the res.

I went outside the box with the tie down techniques' and that cost me my flux. Next time I'll stick to the Professor's tried and true method. Sorry Professor I had to try and it only cost me a good lesson. Next time stick to what works.

But a wise young lady (Lady V) once said....without trial there is no error and without error there is no success....or something like that...LOL.

So the main canopy is at 8", the flux mains are at 14" and the side shoots that came off the main heads are at 12". I should have cut those side shoots off long ago but before I knew it they had turned into some very good potential bud sites.

All told I now have at least 5 very tall and very dominant side shoots on the right main and at least 7 side shoots on the left main. That alone moves it from a flux to just a weed plant...LOL.

Those side shoots have created their own canopy height at that 12" mark.

That gives me 17-20 at the 8" height, 8-10 at the 12" mark and those two good looking mains. They are still my favorites because of the buildup.

Next hard defol is at the 21-25 day mark and I may cut out those lower shoots along with the lower growth if they have not developed much beyond their present state.

I've lost my flux form but IMO not bad for a first try. I'll do better next Flux and be able to apply what I've learned here. Should be interesting to say the least.

Love, love, love the arrival of the pistols. I don't have to look close to see them and I can imagine the bud and cola development.

Another milestone reached. Yea....

So without further ado...the pics....

Thank you guys for stopping by....it really means something.

Yea, bushy for sure. That's why I axed the boss for permission to get bigger boat...LOL. I'm speaking of wifey of course. The cabinet has outgrown it's use and I just need a bigger tent...even just a 3X3 will give me more room.

I keep saying small grows and small use only but small is relative to what your doing. 3X3 may seem small to most but if I have 2-3, 3X3's...LOL. Just kidding...

I also need to correct something I said earlier about my comparison to the AG grow. I thought I hit pistols at day 10 of flip....jus went back to that journal and saw I actually hit pistols at about day 6.

So they both are on the same track. Gotta keep the numbers and statements straight for us newbies that are following.

Later Chodes....LOL.

I can see how LED lends itself to your techniques as getting a wide spread with them isn't easy, hence me buying another unit. I could have fluxed a single plant like yourself under the P450 with no problems, but I'm trying to pull 6 out of the dirt, so needed another unit.

LED beats HPS in a straight line, no doubt, but the radiating nature of traditional bulbs means that they still out pace LED as far as coverage is concerned.

why don't the manufacturers put a slight bow in the boards? I have corn-cob LED lights here at home that radiate 360 degrees, so surely a panel could be made to replicate a quarter of this?

maybe I should mail them for answers!
