Renegade's Hydro Flux - Featuring TwiLight Group's 432 Watt Spider COB LED

Renegade my friend :)

This is all simple, yep top away and that automatically aids in side limbs growing out. I pinch where you have labeled up. Just at the base of the growing tip node. So your not smashing the node itself up, just part crushing it so part cutting it off. I also at this point give all the other limbs more end foliage. I get quite aggressive with the longer limbs taking most foliage off. Also keep the longer strapped down whilst letting the ends of flux up slightly.

Bare in mind though!!!! People seem to think you want a perfect ring of buds, you don't!!! Some staggering of limb ends is desired, as it gives better room for colas site development!:)....Hope that helps buddy! :)

Hell to the YEA!!!....lol.

As if you know me....LOL. More upset that your spot on with that last comment...LOL. And I was thinking stagger would be better for that exact reason but my OCD was killing me....wanting that all to perfect ring.

Res change out is complete and re-training is done. Since L/R 13 & 14 are developed I will top just after those sets. Will wait a day or two before doing so to give her time to recoup. Should work out to be around the next training session.

But I will pinch the longer limbs tonight....

Pics of her without her bonds...

Thanks again Professor....

We are on our way to another milestone....Topping!!!

Renegade - approx how long did it take you to give this last "haircut" and how are the garden soft ties anchored to the res lid?

Your fluxed girl looks great! Her limbs look so strong...she should be able to hold lots of big, fat buds :cheertwo:

Good morning all....

Good morning Sprite....your probably still sleeping....LOL.

Trimming took about an hour. I always take my time cause I don't want to cut the wrong thing.

All in all, it takes about 2 hours when I changed out the res and trimmed. Trimming alone takes about an hour.

That stage is done and we are moving to our next milestone....

She was topped last night. So we will now be spending a bit more time with her.

Pinching the older shoots and training the two heads. One has to be pulled down and the other allowed to grow up and become the new dominant.

I also need to get control of the last few shoots. L/R 13 & 14. Even since yesterday they have shot up and need to be pulled down. I'll give her a day or two before pulling them down.

Pics of last night and this morning....

I'm going to work on her today and will post pics tonight after I'm done.

Still here folks...

Been trolling other peoples gardens causing trouble....LOL.

Trimming and training tonight and will update soon there after.

Plant looks great. She's ready to turn but we'll give her a few more weeks of training to give the flux heads some time to develop.

Gotta start picking spots to pull the individual heads down to.

Later Chodes!!!

So some quick comments on my grow before we get into it....

08 Sep 14, Monday, Day 52, Week 8, Day 3
Morning....
Air=91
RH=48
PH=
PPM=
Res Temp=

Evening....
Air=82
RH=60
PH=
PPM=
Res Temp=

Will begin to record RH and air, highs and lows in the cabinet.

Temp highs normally reach 93ish which is just before lights out with the cabinet doors closed, exhaust on, 1 intake fan on, circular fan on and mister set to low. The same holds true first thing in the morning when I get up....0500.

RH seems to hang around 45-50ish at the same time frame.

Lights out between 1200-1800 and air temp drops to 82ish (which is the reading at lights on). RH is at 60ish.

I like these numbers....

09 Sep 14, Tuesday, Day 53, Week 8, Day 4
Morning....
Air=91
RH=45
PH=
PPM=
Res Temp=

Evening....
Air=79
RH=64
PH=
PPM=
Res Temp=

Mister on low and wet towel placed in cabinet through out the day is keeping RH up above 50. So this little test is over.

Pics coming of trimming and training....which I'm beginning to hate...LOL....just kidding but not really....NO LOL!!!

This f'n plant is driving me crazy. No control and no f'n straight lines. Gonna give flux'n a break after this so I'm hoping to make it a memorable one. It already is proving to make me loose my mind. Sooooo time consuming and so much work training the dam arms down. And of course it doesn't help when they are constantly reaching for the f'n light. Uneven GD arms and slow developing arms. Some are constantly reaching and some just want to take their dam time.

Aaaarrrrggggghhhhhh.....

So I went heavy with the trimming hoping to give me some time away and some sanity.

F'n OCD....

Gonna go medicate with some Captain and hit the sack.

See you guys in a couple of days....taking a step back from this schnit for a bit before I chuck it out the door.

You want to be thinking of picking your infill arms to be manipulated to the center. You want to be thinking ahead with the expected growth of all limbs. Then with eaxtra space made in the outer ring, span out the rest of limbs. Then give enough foliage to drive quick expansion of the lower framework and then go vert and leave as long as you dare! :)

Iknow height is a limited thing but have you a lower power level to induce a little more stretch? ?? Just a thought!:goodjob:

WOW WOW WOW, I can't believe!!! it's growing so fast! man. :goodjob:

It is and it loves the light.

She seems to have stalled but that's probably do to my heavy trim last weekend. I was suppose to have trimmed yesterday but will wait till Saturday to make sure she's recovered.

Renegade, what size is the individual container the plant's in?

What's up Cajun....

It's in a six gallon res. I'm only feeding her 80% nutrients since it's the only plant in there. When I go vertical I will up the nutrients to 100%.

LA,

I will take some pics tonight with labeling and we can go from there. I have an idea of which ones but equally concerned that it's still going to be tight in the middle and around the rim. I've picked 6 branches for the infill.

The pro's and con's of short plants.

Pro's...natural tight node spacing.

Con's...tight node spacing which makes it hard to evenly space out the heads.

My plan is to do the last trim this weekend, pull the arms into the center and begin my vertical.

No power level on the light so maybe I should raise it? It's at 18" now. I could raise it to 24".

Whatcha think?
