Renaissance Man's First Official Grow: Blueberry OG, Gorilla Zkittles & Cream Caramel In Soil

I just thought about it and started thinking, I'm not ready to harvest yet..mentally or logistically. I don't even know where to begin. I don't have a lot of areas to dry out. Inside the house would be way too smelly. It's gotta be in the tent but doesn't it have to be dark? I'm guessing they wont all be ready on the same day

do you have a standing AC unit by chance?
No I don't have one. The only way I can lower my humidity also is by keeping the tent door opened slightly. Not sure the filter will help much

You don't need a tent. A dark room is fine. It will smell, yes. Stink up your house. Even more when you burp them after they are jarred cause the smell will leave the drying buds then come back (well most strains) no they won't all be ready which is good for you, stagger it for your sake. What or where I guess are your drying options?

I mean, I really

have to keep it in my garage. I do have a little mini freezer that's only about 3.5 cubic feet that I have been using for storage that I may need to use for a drink location. Perfect because it's dark but not good when it comes to airflow. Can I dry flat for x amount of days in an airtight freezer (not cold) or will it not dry out fast enough? Once they are in jars, it probably would work though. Another option would be some type of box, whether cardboard or plastic bin.

You need the airflow. I'd cardboard box it in layers separated by broken cardboard boxes before I shoved it in an off mini fridge with no airflow. You have an extra fridge in your garage? You could fridge dry?

It's a freezer only. Does that make a difference?

Yes. Variations in temp don't want it to freeze the buds and have crystals fall off easy and then it gets too dry and then thawing and yea, no. Um...you have a dark spot you can make in the garage? Hang em on a towel rack or a mesh canopy like mine?

I don't think I've seen yours however I have some mesh objects I can use. I could possibly make a dark spot under my workbench. Does it need to be 100% dark? If so, I have a cabinet that I could use

Flower day 40
Looks like I have some Magnesium and phosphorus issues with GZ? Thoughts? I'm about to start week 8 in a few days.

The rest of the pictures are just sticky buds.

The inline fan and filter came in yesterday so I installed it and set the fan to low. It's only a 4" fan though. Overnight, it kept the humidity down from the 80's (pre-fan) to a high of 61% rh.

Right now at 12pm, I have the tent door closed and the fan set at high. It dropped the humidity down to 43% and holding. The negative pressure is pretty strong but it doesn't seem to be affecting the plants or the tent. I'm not sure if this is how it is supposed to be done, but I'm just wingin it.

The smell has gone down tremendously and can't even smell it from 15' away from the closed tent. That's a good thing.
Now I am just trying to do more research as to how the hell am I going to dry the first plant? I think what I am going to do is to get a cardboard box that I can hang the plant in. I'm going to get a black plastic bag on standby to pull up and close loosely at the top if the humidity is too low and may dry out too quickly. Then I'd have to alternate bag on and off for a number of days until it is dry enough to jar. I think if I can drag that process out for 4 or 5 days, I can be good. I'm just afraid they will dry quicker than that and I'll have to try and recover in the jarring process.

I think they look lovely :)
Thanks T! I feel confident up unto this point, but still feel uneasy about closing it out. A lot can happen in the next couple of weeks. :nervous-guy:

Flower Day 42 (last day of Week 7)
4 days since water/feed

So I guess this is 4 days of drought. If I understand this correctly, the LWA (leaf wilt angle) will determine how long to drought for. Although I really am being lazy and don't want to get that technical with the angles and all that, I will pay attention to the leaf angle and guesstimate when it's over.

They all have been pretty consistently on a 3 day watering so let's see how this goes.

One of the questions I have is will I be adding nutrients after this is over or just plain pH water?

I bought that bloom fert and want to use it again but not sure how much longer before harvest.

Also my understanding is that the last water or two, you don't use nutrients. So that is my plan unless somebody can steer me otherwise.

I didn't take any pictures of the trichomes today, but there are a few on CC now.

What is the best place to check for trichome color and coverage? On the sugar leaves? On the pistils? Deep in the buds?

Cabinet would be good! And no not like at night for the girls dark...just the light breaks down the enzymes and such so no direct light or extended period of light is all

They look great! I use nutes til the end. That's me. If they need it I give it to them...you could start giving water and see how they respond. I don't flush though, remember. Not necessary

Yes, I remember. Ok, then I'm going to add some more nutes next feed also. Adding more P and K can't hurt at this stage, can it?

Nah...it's the end now if you wanna give em a bump...you still trying to fix that leaf color?
