Renaissance Man's First Official Grow: Blueberry OG, Gorilla Zkittles & Cream Caramel In Soil

Hi RM,
to add to what has been said already. MC has a pretty good formula, but once you start going over 5 or 5.5g/gal then the K.Ca.Mg ratio in MC starts to get out of whack. Ideally you want that to be 4 parts K, 2 parts Ca, and 1 part Mg. Once you go too far outside those ratios your plant will start to lockout or demand more of one or the other.
Good stuff, looks like I'll be at this level of nutrients for the next 8 weeks. Thank you.

Day 6 since flip
1 day since water/feed

After rethinking my "Day 5 of flower", they haven't really started flowering yet. So really at this point is Day "x" since flip. Once they begin to flower, I can start the countdown.

That will probably push me into February for harvest.

After looking closer, I think day 1 of flower might be tomorrow.

Yes they will. Cause G is going to be a January pull

I really am so happy with their turnaround. The coloring they have and their growth rate since just a few weeks back is awesome. Happy for ya RM

Thanks @Krissi1982, I think I did a little too much defol early on before flipping, especially after looking at yours. Yours are definitely more bushy and soaking in that light. Lesson learned. I don't know what it will do for yield at this point, but I'm still hopeful.

I'm no professional man...I'm learning as I go...using the concept of solar panels at this stage I think is allowing them to grow a lot more...I go back n forth should I trim or not...always end up not unless there's like massive fan leaves that I want to clip a couple...the plants do soak that light in...trim come flower...plenty of time to do that then when you actually see where the buds are going to develop. I'm still learning there, too. G was my first real defoliation and de fan...

Day 5 of flower
Water feed day

Here is a brief update as I hate doing this on my phone:
Upped the nutes to 1.9g/1.5L (5g/gal equivalent)
All seems good for now.
Blueberry was a little That's yesterday and I was worried overnight but after a water today, it bounced back quick.

That clone needs water babe. And by water I mean a tsunami of it.

I always keep my clones super moist. And I find if I pop a dome on, it helps to keep in humidity.

Clones like a Tropical environment, well I think they do lol.

I just soaked it yesterday, but I'll find something to put over the top..thanks!

Oh great. I was just looking at my own clone and thought I’d snap a pic to show you.

I live in a very humid climate, so I have drilled holes in the top, I use b to block the holes so I can better control the humidity. I find 10 days in this environment is a great foundation for a healthy clone to be built on.

Day 7 since flip'
2 days since water/feed

All the plants look good this morning but still no flowering. I see what I think is called "pre-flowers" but I don't count that for day 1 of flowering, do I??

GZ is still looking good. She is still the tallest and lankiest. I am trying to envision what cola's will look like on her. I still may clip a lower branch that is not getting a lot of light. We'll see.
20211207_074252.jpg

CC still has a lighter color that has been consistent since the beginning. Her branches are not as strong as the other two but seems to be growing really well. She is not directly under either light but has both of them on her. She is also in a plastic pot so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with anything.
20211207_074335.jpg

BB has a little droop but it's still early when I took this picture. She'll perk up a little more throughout the day. She has some nutrient burned leaves that I think is partly from when I watered too closely to previous water, both with nutrients. All her top growth looks healthy and everything seems to be good.

And lastly, it appears that C3 is starting to stand up on her own.

Getting tall in there! Still counts as the first sign of Flower so I would! Although I don't count by days but weeks on that stuff lol and look at C 3 (P O)!!! Go little girl!

Good work Ren :)

Your clone looks set to embark on a new adventure :)

I’m going to try and strike a clone in perlite. I tend to be a creature of habit and I just do things based on the fact that’s the way I do it. I think it was 420girl, just struck some fucking clangers using perlite.

I really have to up my international language game. I'm good with the Hawaiian pidgen, but now I got Finnish Independence day language and Down Under language that I have no idea. Who was the Irishman in here too? That's a whole thing as well..

I have the GZC (Gorilla Zkittles Clone) in my bathroom window upon somebody's suggestion. It seems to be starting to stand on it's own as well. Woop woop!

Flower Day 1
Water/Feed day

So I have decided to call today day 1 of flower. It has been 8 days since flipping and I think we're close enough to begin the 56-65 day-ish flower time. I gave them all a good water/feed of 1.98g/ 1.5L of water. I also got myself some pH down and lowered my pH to 6.5. I hope I did it right.

I first added 5mL of Calmag. That dropped my pH to about 7.6. Then I added the nutrients which brought it down to 7.3. Lastly, I added about 10 drops of pH down that brought it to 6.5.

I'm guessing and hoping that this will cause a spurt in growth. My tap water pH was high but functional but definitely not optimal.

By the way, just found a hydro store nearby and damn.. I could've spent a lot of time and money in that store.
instead walked out with only 2 things.. It's all about self-control.

Look at you you mad professor with your pH kit!

Mine still aren’t showing signs of flower. It’s going to be nice flowering together Ren.

They say “420 members who flower together stay friends forever”. Look they don’t say that, but they really should.

I know, I don't get that natural rainwater like you do. We've been in a drought for years in California. I feel like they're going to have some good growth now..

It appears that mine took about 7 days from flip to show signs. When did you flip?

Nice plants. Came here to follow your grow. Mine are on day 11 and I think still in the transition period.

Flower Day 2
1 day since water/feed

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened up the tent this morning for a look. All three plants were beautifully awake, reaching for the light all with good color. It's early to think that this may have to do with the right pH, but I think that every feed from this point on, will look similar.

There is very little smell to the plants still.

And lastly, little C3 (PO) decided to stand all on her own now. I really am unsure of what I'm going to do with her though. I have two more seeds that will be planted in the next grow and thinking they can grow together, but that means little C3 (PO) will have to veg for about 16 weeks! Not to mention, I'm not sure what will happen when I flip the lights back to 18/6 from 12/12.

Saturday. But I think I took those tops off Sunday, I hope that didn’t stress her. I’ve just checked still no signs. So that’s, omg legit using fingers to count, 6 days.

I don’t use rainwater, I use hose. They only get rainwater as a top up. I am waiting for a rain tank tho, so soon it will be rainwater.

Are you in California! (Why am I asking that when you just shared it). That place looks awesome. I think a great philosopher once said “ I wish they all could be California… I wish they all could be California… I wish they all could be California, giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiils”.

Is that where the Hollywood sign is?

Oh good job Ren :)

And your little clone is fighting back. If that clone was mine I’d call her Rocky.

I have just tried to strike some clones in omg I forget what it’s called. It’s volcano jizz. The white stuff you can put in soil, it comes from volcanoes. Tbh for the first year I thought it was polystyrene foam, not even joking. Anyhoo, I’m trying to strike them in volcano jizz and water, and tbh, they look great. No wilting. I’m so interested to see if they strike. And if they do, I’m sold on this method fo sho.
