Relaxed's Winter Experiment

Just some news about that last remaining KC-45 seedling that didn't sprout along with the others; It sprouted and is growing well, just a bit behind the others since they made it outside already. I'm sure it will catch up quick though. So that makes it 100% germination success overall... To add, the two flowering ladies are looking fabulous, and flowering is progressing each night, we should have some recognizable tops pretty soon. They were also foliar fed with a light solution of the SNS-604B yesterday. Tomorrow morning they will get some water so I will take some pics of them after.:Namaste:

Happy Sativaday to All! :cheertwo:

:peace:

Good Morning, and Happy Skunkday to all! :cheertwo: Just some morning shots of the ladies and seedlings, going to put that other one in there today. They always love the morning Sun (a lot), so they are my favorite time to take my pictures.

One of them I LSTed earlier than the other one because I found out it was a female sooner, so as a result we have nice and solid lower branching that should form some nice nuggies for me. She may seem slightly drooped probably as a result of many factors, one of them being I tucked some fan leaves underneath to allow a couple of the actual bud sites to grow more, as well as it's response to a cool morning drink of water and it is concentrating the growth hormones in a more balanced manner rather than all at the apical tip, so it should likely all mature around the same time, whereas the other plant that was not LSTed early enough will have a lower yield but likely will work on maturing the main cola and may finish quicker. Just some thoughts to go along with the pics. :Namaste:

New babies! I came back just in time! How's it been growing?

Ladies looking great. I'm curious to see the effects of LST on her, how it'll shape her, size her, etc. Thanks for explaining how it works.

Good evening weed Lester. Your girls are looking mighty fine. I just got done burning sulfur in the greenhouse getting ready for early spring. I have a bunch of autos that I'm going to put in the green house starting in early April. I will plant them sometime in mid March. Can't wait. Bubblelicious and White widow. Happy Thurweedday

Good Day Brotha Bee. Have you been water skiing in the greenhouse lately? Just clowning, damn April, that's a ways away. At least you have the pleasure of the indoor thing going on, that should help buffer the short growing season. And I definitely feel ya about the mold, seems to be a pretty big problem for you, me, and Bozzo. I can't wait to see you grow again, last year went really well - hopefully we can replicate some of those positive results this year :Namaste:

Hello Lester, the plants are looking good. Im envious of you though its below 0 here. I wish I could be growing outdoors right now.

Thank you kindly! :)

always a pleasure to see your Grow Relaxed
Happy SKunkday :thumb:

Thanks Hoggy :circle-of-love: Always a pleasure to have you cruise through. :thumb:
Mahalo and Happy Munchday to you! :cheertwo:

Sweet update Lester! Those flowers are forming so fast! I hope my girls follow suit, otherwise I might be training these gals for a long time!

Howdy Rain, Indeed they are forming quick. I also noticed one of the plants is forming purple stipules everywhere, don't think I ever seen that. I'm starting to think it's possible I have a purple phenotype of the KC-45, that would be rad. Well, keep in mind, these ones I have growing are supposed to be autoflowers so I had expected they'd flower much sooner than they did. The 2 flowering female autos were planted ~ December 12, so atleast hopefully that long wait will make up for it with nice dank buds. I will say that the KC-45 smells unbelievable just by rubbing the stem, lot of resin in there. Excited to try the buds. Saw your plants the other day, they're looking good, seems like they went through a little stretch, interested to see how they grow now that they're in the ground. Should be real interesting, I'll be tuned into your journal as we progress.:cheertwo:

Looking good Lester,:thumb:

Beware, I just saw that giant hawk moth, right on cue, at 5:56 PM, keep your eyes peeled at 5:59 tomorrow.

I think I saw one of them, they fly really fast, although that type doesn't worry me, it does tell me that the moths are coming out. In fact I have seen some here and there. Well, reality is some years will be good, some years won't be so good. Staying vigilant in the garden will help prevent a future heart-break. I could rant for days about moths so I'll save that for another time. :thumb:

New babies! I came back just in time! How's it been growing?

Hey Greensmurf, long time man! New babies indeed, same strain (more KC-45 autos) for now, been growing pretty well. The first batch finally started flowering, and I'm hoping to harvest them completely by ~April 20. Kind of growing things different and at different times this year, will have to see how it pans out. Glad to see you back buddy hope all is well! :high-five:

Ladies looking great. I'm curious to see the effects of LST on her, how it'll shape her, size her, etc. Thanks for explaining how it works.

I always enjoy seeing the results of LST from the beginning to end. There is such grooming involved, I love the sight of a fully formed bush-of-love, although these won't be incredibly rounded and bush-like, they will have their own unique look to them. I made sure not to top or fim these plants as I wouldn't want to stunt them, but for my regular non-autos that will be planted I would top/fim/ and apply a lot of LST to groom the bush according to it's long vegetative time that they will have, after all the vegetative grooming, it becomes quite a sight to see a massive bloom like that. :circle-of-love:

Thanks everyone for the likes, comments, and reputations. :thanks:

Those babies are looking better & bigger every time I see them Lester

Thanks BAR! This week will be a tad bit gloomy so once they're through this they will take off during next week. Right now I'm currently pondering which seeds I want to germinate next, thinking Swiss Cheese because of its indica traits and short flowering time. I think it will suit well for force flowering. However I was also thinking about these free feminized seeds I got, the Power Flower and Critical (Royal Queen) and the NL x SKUNk. So many strains, hard to fit them all into my small limit. I am really just considering doing the free femmed seeds.
:yahoo:

Drive bye. Dude I did the Swiss Cheese myself outdoors up here and she was a winner. And a monster. I'm pretty sure she got over 10' iffin my memory serves me right. Great production plant. I see the fun is beginning with the auto 45's. Looks like they should have a decent yield for the auto strains. I'll be looking in with alot of interest on these girls, because I think you picked a winner with her instead of all them bud on a sticks I've been seeing in auto's. Keepem Green

Thanks for the information Captain Wood! Much appreciated and good to know. I sat here for a good two hours pondering what else I wanted to germinate for a spring crop, and went with the Blackberry (nirvana), decided to save the Swiss Cheese and Maui Wowie for the fall harvest. And I hope your right about these KC-45's, they sure do smell good and I'm excited to see them bloom. Thanks again for stopping by :passitleft:

Good Morning's Weed;I want to wish everyone a Happy Thurweed day, the weekend is almost here! I shall have some pictures up later on today, and I plan to put the germinated Blackberry seeds into a seed starting mixture.
There is something about growing cannabis, aside any other plant, that sparks joy into me, knowing there are good things to come in the future, and whatnot. I know I'm not the only one who feels special feelings from this magical plant :circle-of-love:

Cheers:Namaste:

Happy Thurweed Day, Lester! Cannabis definitely ranks a favorite plant in my books, too.

Waiting for the Green House //Big Bang feminized to open, the free with order, Royal Queen feminized has opened and has a 2mm " shoot showing". Got a new battery on the way for my camera and 4" inline vent fan for indoor box for the kids!! Cant wait!!!!!
Also did find a bit of info I did not know about on hermie`s. I have not tried this but just may in the future. Enclosed mentioned that the pollen it does produce is more likely to produce all or mostly ***females***!!?? I always thought or have had no info that they were of any "beneficial" use to let them go full cycle. One of the best things about this site is the info of others and not competition...well there is competition (being real) to find ways to increase your growing knowledge and powers. No one wants shit plants and I would say 90% would like to see all others plants grow ALMOST as good as theirs. Thanks to all who share as a common cause and feel the NEED to share, and not just grow to brag!! The highlighted box has a cool fact, stay green and ...Peace.....

Thanks RL and as I was finishing that post my friends showed up!!! May just try that with two favorite feminized strains, stressing one on purpose to hermie out and fertilize the other to create a "my" strain. Just added a few pic`s to show what's up and wished it was 4/6 weeks ago, but what can you do!! It is the work of others that helps push the machine forward!! THANKS...Peace.....THIS IS GOING TO THE "JOURNALS IN PROGRESS" and if you get the time please stop by would love to hear your inputs!! Thanks for the help and heads -up!!!
