Not sure which strain you are talking about Pennywise. If it was the BOO plant I don't think I will be saving it. Well I am saving it as of now lol. Just not sure if I will continue to do it. I need to smoke it a couple more times to be sure. I do love the smell and flavor. Thing is it isn't strong weed. Orange strains have been weak for a long time. My search is for one that has everything THC percent included. Saving this plant to smoke is one thing. Breeding into it only because of flavor isn't something I want to do. If I am going to make a hybrid I want to be able to share it with confidence it is worth growing. I don't think I will be able to say that here.
Making a hybrid here is against everything I believe. I have what looks like 3 great plants. Well 2 great plants and the haze leaning pheno of SSH. The highs of SSH are everything I expected. The short plant would have been the perfect plant to keep if I had grown it better. I am hoping the haze pheno will have a similar sativa high. The last SSH is finishing now. Kind of hard to tell as all the hairs are drying white. Now that it is starting I don't care how much longer it will take. It won't be that much longer. I just glad it isn't going to be a 16 week flower LMAO. Still might be so I better shut up about it LMAO.
In the search for great plants. I was really surprised to find 2 in this grow. Both plants are totally different then their sisters. They actually look more like each other then their sisters. I should say that 2 of the Banana Sorbet are covered in frost. The keeper plant just has better bud structure and smell.
The hybrid between Banana Sorbet x Strawberry Lemonade should be impressive. Or interesting at least. Crossing the 2 frostiest plants you have is the way breeding should be done. It won't guaranty the offspring will be good. It is a lot better then hoping to make a strain something it isn't. I won't be keeping the SSH if it doesn't have the high I want either. I don't see that happening but it might. What is in SSH genetics is well worth breeding into. There is still no reason to make this plant work when I will be growing more SSH soon. After smoking the short plant I am back to being sold on SSH. Damn I wish I had not F**ked it up LMAO. Next time I will know more and be better prepared to grow it right.
I should mention that even though I had troubles with them the SSH plants finished pretty good. I wasn't so sure at first. I had to take them earlier then I planned. Trichomes were mostly cloudy on the short plant which is my normal time. Mostly the SSH didn't finish really fast. The other strains are just taking longer then suggested. The SSH that finished drying gave me 2.4 oz's. I am sure it could have been 3 if the feeding program was better.
