Random Thoughts: Plants & Genetics

Alright I have compiled all the info I needed lol. Here is a peak at what I ordered.

The Fuzz, Bodhi seeds. Got this pretty much because I could lol. Bodhi has built some great genetics.
Ocean Grown Cookies, Dinafem. This is just one of the Cookie hybrids I am going to try.
Cheese Bomb, MTG seeds. Not Exodus but it is cheese.
Dairy Queen, TGA. The other Cheese strain. My hope is to find a great cheese in the regular seeds. Reverse it and cross it with my Exodus Cheese.
Crown Royal, Second Generation seeds. I liked this strain in feminized form from a different company. Must be good if others copy or feminize it.TSecond Gen has the real Blueberry I know. They are well connected so I figure the can get the G.G. #4. It is also where I hope to find G.G. #4 leaning male.
Devils Oranges, Nor Star. I don't know much about Nor Star. I do believe that Tangie is great for breeding. I plan to breed with it so I might as well try other strains made with it.
Cookie Ox, Rare Dankness. This is where I hope to find a Cookie leaning male.
Strawberry Lemonade, Barnes Farm. This just sounds like a good strain.
Bag of Oranges, Useful Seeds. I have never heard of this company before. Same story as everyone else. They couldn't find the right Orange strain so they bred their own. Thing is I do believe I have heard of this strain as a potent one. All else fails it gives me more orange genetics. I'm like everyone else. Still looking for great Orange genetics LMAO.
Blue Fire, Humboldt Seed Org. Blue Dream hybrid. Enough said lol.
The New, Humboldt Seed Org. This was the real kicker of all the strains. $140 for a strain is a bit much. Especially when most Humboldt genetics cost around $50. I passed it up the first time I ordered. Then added it a day later. This is one of those strains that I think might turn into something. I would really hate to pass it up and find out it is the new great stain out there. Humboldt has always had good deals and good genetics. Price does not mean shit when it comes to seeds. The fact that "This" company is charging that kind of price for these seeds makes me feel they are worth it. I will know in a few months. This is defiantly going into the next run.

That's a great selection! I've got couple rare Dankness strains in flower and a MTG one too. I was eyeing the crown Royal are you going to run it anytime soon. Here's the MTG seeds Ting @ 4 1/2 weeks

This next run is going to be full of these new genetics. I am still on the fence of which regular strain to run. Pretty sure it will be Purple Betty. With so many new interesting regular genetics I just don't know. The regular strain will dictate what strains go with it. Once I know what it is I can pick the others. I just may go with a "new kids on the block" run and grow no genetics I have ever grown before. No matter how good they are that is risky.

Which brings me back to Crown Royal. When I bought the Second Gen. Strain by that name. I thought it was similar to what I had grown before. Ends up it isn't. The older one which is what I grew was Purple Kush x Blueberry. This one is G.G. #4 x Blueberry F-4 Not only is that different it is very different. Second Gen is JD Shorts genetics so I know it is Blueberry. Not only that but they probably have the best selection of Blueberry genetics next to DJ himself. It might replace Purple Betty.

I also went back and looked up The Fuzz. I knew there was a reason I ordered it. It is a Chem 91 hybrid. I got it in hopes of a Chem leaning pheno for breeding with.

And now for a little grow update. I broke down and took the 48" x 24" x 60" tent down and replaced it with the 36" x 20" x 60". my temps were pretty low in the bigger tent. Going with the smaller tent I gain some warmth and have better reflection from the walls. The plants are still a little tall for it but they seem to be doing alright. The way it looks this tent is perfect for 2 plants.

The light is not as bright as I would like it. I have been running overkill power for so long I don't know what good light looks like LOL. I need to see how this system works just as it is. It is the same set up I suggested for my friend. It is kind of hard to just watch and not change things to suit myself.

Pretty little bud you have there Dankman. Thanks that makes me feel better about MTG. I got the Cheese Bomb from them mostly because I wanted away to maybe find a cheese male. Come to find out the Cheese that was used in the genetics was Exodus Cheese. It is just a generation back but still in there. I then decided to go with TGA/Dank Dairy Queen for the same reason. I don't know which one I will try first now lol.

Bodhi does have great genetics. Only problem with that is I hae the Liberty Haze going right now. I would end up with Chem following Chem. Different genetics so they might be different enough to run. Hmmmmm

I don't have much in the line of Chem/Og female seeds. I have a great female Hybrid of my mentors that falls in that area. I have grown it before. For a new kids I may have to run the Bodhi strain just for that Og Kush fuel/chem flavor.

I was looking at their gear on JBC and also browsed through the others and saw norstar genetics has a Panama red f3. I'd love to grow that one out for nostalgia. If they have it in few months I'll end up getting it. Just don't have the cash to blow on beans. I remember PR in my youth that was really nice

Bodhi does lots of stuff so people don't have too. In most case's he only does it once. You need to get them before they become famous and sell out LMAO. I have 3 of his strains already. It is time to run some.

I got a message that Crystal Blue has sold out. It was on my order to the UK. That's a good thing lol. It means all that cash made it safe and sound. What happens when that order shows up yet I don't know. My choices for replacement are Holy Grail Kush from DNA or more Ghost Train Haze. Now I wait. What this next grow looks like depends on if the UK order gets here in time. Of all my orders, 2 have already shipped in the US. They should be here next week. The ones from the UK might be here in time for germination. It can take a month or more for packages form overseas. I paid for their high dollar insurance so I know I will receive the seeds. They will ship till I get it.

Made the deal on my house. It is now mine or will be in a month. Good thing because I just screwed 1" foam to the back wall behind the tent. I didn't want anything near outside walls. I ended up with no choice. Temps will get below -0 this winter I am sure. How cold and for how long I don't know. This will give me another layer between the cold an my plants.

Now that I own the place I will be able to change what I want to suit me. Not sure what that is going to be. I do know I have a great place to build a ROOM. I could literally turn the whole thing into a tent. I could probably light the whole thing up with 2 1000 watt HPS. Always good to know if I need it.

Nor Star's Devils Oranges really has my interest. It could jump into the regular spot with ease. Like I mentioned, it all matters what shows up in time. Hard not to try the Holy Grail if it gets here in time. That would bump The Fuzz form Og/Chem/Kush spot.

I need to run new breeder stuff so I know how they are. I lost my orange strain from this grow so I will try it again. Bag of Oranges really interest's me. The fact that I know nothing about Useful Seeds is what is holding me back. If I don't run B.. I will have to run the Devil's Oranges.

Right now the Crown Royal is leading the pack. I want a G.G. #4 in the line up. The fact that I KNOW this is the real Blueberry is the key. Not only real but close to the source and with people that know the strain. Plus the heady part of G.G. #4 is just what Blueberry needed. I am pretty sure I will be crossing it with Gorilla Zkittlez someday.

I am really torn. I got the regular genetics because I believe they are easier to self. All I have to do is find the right pheno to self and I have a good pheno to make hybrids with. What is killing me is, do I make regular strains also. That was the original plan because I know it works. Finding the right male is tough. Genetics will be carried over one way or the other. Chances are that my pick of the litter regenerated female plant will be stronger than a random male. The feminized strain would be better in most case's. "IF" they work LOL.

All I really have to choose males from is growth style. (Fast, slow, bushy, single stalk and early flower) Later on I will be able to see if the male produces trichomes or not. Even if they don't. It doesn't mean it is not a good male. I know some strains are going to get both. What Tangie I have left will be used in multiple ways. One of which is a regular strain that will cross my pick of the litter Tangie x Cinderella 99 male. I will find my sativa from hell in there somewhere. I want lots of regular seeds to search for it. Because of this hybrid I may or may not use my Cannalope Haze to make a Tangilope. My lope would be a little different but still close enough for me.

On the bright side folks. In another week or so. Buds will be starting to show up. It will be picture time soon. No more of this Random crap from my brain. I really can't shut this stuff off. I have tried. Now I just go with it LMAO.
