Radogast's Hi-Brix Basement Grow - New Location - New Soil - New Experiences

Don't we all save the best bud for last? Nice piece of Buddage. That Carnival is something I've seen many a grower grow it. But it is one I haven't tried it or any variant that I know.. There is just so many strains one can miss a name of a parent. Go enjoy that bud.. Keepem Green

CBD Critical Cure Harvest

CBD Critical cure was harvested after 79 days in the flower area. Buds stopped swelling. Pistils finally said, "I'm ready."

20170825_130431-1.jpg

The low down popcorn looks like popcorn. The mid height buds look firm and heavy.

20170825_130501-1.jpg

The buds near the top look weak and spindly. Lots and lots of long single leaves or triple leaves with few trichomes.

20170825_130446-1.jpg

The harvest looks like more, but is probably only 70 grams or so.

20170825_183602-1.jpg

After trimming, those big buds have lots of air in the middle. It's as if the nutrient elevator didn't go all the way to the top.

20170825_183611-1.jpg

This is not the typical CBD Critical Cure phenotype. Physically branches were weak: pulling a fan leaves bent several branches when trimming.

Two days ago I unglugged the power to my cloner bucket to add water - I left it unplugged for 24 hours

20170822_134147.jpg

Yesterday, some of the clone cuttings are probably lost: CBD Critical Cure, Delicatessen Lily, Borderliner, and Agatha (Ace Mix)

I took a new cutting of Borferliner, but it's too late for CBD Critical Cure. I may try for a Lily cutting, but she is up for harvest soon.

That sucks about the clones. Probably for the best with the critical cure. Unless it happens to be an incredible smoke. That's some very sativa character coming out in it. Weird that it would express that way with how Sue's have been growing.

Thanks. I checked again this morning and the CBD Critical Cure clone is probably going to survive. I has root buds. I'm going to leave it in the cloner and wait.

Dude, that Critical Cure bud is sweet. Damn good job.

Thank you. I was excited about growing a Sativa style high CBD plant, but as a grower, I don't like this plant much. I think that's the first time I've said that about a plant, It's weird and weak.
Now
If someone in the family says they love this plant, I'll try to grow it again. If not, she fades away.

As we are running low, the wife turned to me and said, "I really like Carnival. I gets you high. It helps with pain. Everyone likes Carnival."

I often get a smoke report / feedback when we first try a new strain, but almost never when we are running low. Folks are usually thinking about the next new strain.

Since I had the cloner issue, I have gaps in my strain rotation.

I planted a second Carnival clone this morning, I'll run 2 Carnival plants for awhile, so that we are never out for very long :)

You got afew jars of a staviva there... But I have to say I can't really count the clones I've fried forgetting about refiring the cloner after a changing of water or some stupid shit. And it don't take long do it? GL with them.. Keepem Green

Dam tht sux rad bout the cloner bucket n the clones hope they pull threw n make it i jus uppotted 2 of my clones to 5 gal buckets and the put 3 more clones into soil 2 of which are my kali mist clones i took in flower so they will have to reveg and being a sativa dom they grow pretty quick so im hoping tht being a reveg it will cause it to branch out mre then i can creat a massive bush amd get a huge yield lol plus then i wana cross it with my red poison pollen im tryn to collect rite nw

Well she's a lucky woman to have you good man! or smart - or both!

Well ... if momma ain' happy, ain' nobody happy.

And it's rarely bad if momma is happy ... so ... right?

Well she's a lucky woman to have you good man! or smart - or both!

:Namaste:

The lucky woman (and the doctor who wrote her medical card and said "you need to grow",) are why I grow.

I was giving my medical history to the eye doctor in a family visit a couple of weeks ago and she got to the drugs section,
"Do you smoke marijuana for medical reasons like your wife and daughter?"
"Nope."

"Do smoke recreationally?"
"Once or twice a month."

The wife and daughter both snorted, "not even that!"
The Doctor cracked up laughing.

After she finished taking my history, she asked my wife "Where do you get your weed?"
The wife answered "I know a guy who grows good stuff."

I felt so proud :)

Good job with the harvest Rad! I have grown a couple of extremely sativa leaning plants that looked like that. I had a violetta from ace that was supposed to finish flowering in 9 weeks, 16 weeks into it I had to bring her down due to other things needing to flower. she looked like that with smaller buds and could have gone another 2-4 weeks if I could have let her take the space. Same thing with a cannalope haze I grew that was supposed to flower in 8 weeks :laughtwo:

You thought anything with HAZE in the name would flower in 8 weeks??? o.O

just funnin with ya
I get it man. I am just still sore it took that long and was not that great. I grew out chocolope a few years ago that was a lot better than the cannalope haze. I was really hoping for a gem with that one. Oh well I got to grow it out once and have since moved on to another strain. If it had been great then I would have had to try and figure out how to keep another one around while trying new things :)

I never stopped to congratulate you on the CBD Critical Cure harvest. Don't be surprised if you find you like it. Try it as an oil in capsules. The daughter agrees it lays a perfect baseline for the system.

Love that Carnival grenade. :cheesygrinsmiley:

The family smokes everything I grow. My grinder has the AK47 in it from 40 some days ago. I've had one bowl and a hit off a second bowl. I haven't been high off the Carnival this last round.

I understand your enthusiasm about fresh harvest oil. but they aren't interested yet.

I keep thinking I will make oil 'when I get a little ahead' but I haven't been ahead of demand since my first grow journall a couple of years back. I bumped up my flower area from 4 to 6 plants, but 2 had to go in small and 1 is flowering in the veg area (presumably peer pressure from the Sour Diesel reveg also happening in the veg area) so I don't know when I'll get 6 full size plants going in the flower area. I'm trying :)

Which is all to say, thanks for the FHO encouragment, but don't hold your breath.

That last Carnival was a lovely plant to grow. Scary big buds.

Friends and Family come out of the wood works around harvest time.... JK kind of. But it always makes me feel good when I can supply close family with good herbs and let them save a buck or two. . Just about everything I usually grow outside is used to make RSO for afew people. And here I should be taking the hell outta it. Least all the plants I have to take abit early. I cut the main colas off and the least go in bulk bags with all the rest, And we throw the trim in too. That generally make a year's supply of RSO for 5-6 peoples,, another thing I like to do make up a batch of infused coconut budder, poured into single serving containers, like yogurt cups, pudding cups, them ones for kids hold a half a stick for cooking a nice batch of cookies. Those make a nicest little presents. I hand out alot of them around X-Mas time. Stocking stuffer for your Daughter? I don't smoke much myself. I can't get high anymore. I am on alot of pain meds.. Probley more tha I should, but they do help with chronic pain.. But thats a nother story. I roll up a zig zag everynight place in the ashtray. It might sit there for acouple days sometimes. If Miss J don't snag it... But I like to smoke right as a go kick for the night. I mean I get buzz'''' And once in a blue moon I'll get a decent buzz,, very rare. Matter a fact I'm going in and sample an auto from CKS's seed,, I think it's the WW.Well I'm outta here... GL
anything with the clones? Hopefulley it wasn't something you can't replace. KeepemGreen
