Radogast's Hi-Brix Basement Grow - New Location - New Soil - New Experiences

Man thats some bad luck. At least the rest of your plants are some nice ladies :)

I beginning to think I wouldn't have had space and pots to run another strain anyway.

I repotted Guawi today and am down to about a gallon of cooked soil and 7 gallons of soil in mid cook.

That's about 20 less gallons cooking than a month ago, but that is also 3 more plants in 7-gallon pots.

I have 10 7-gallon pots and 4 1--gallon pots in use right now. I might have to delay a planting or a transplanting now and then, but I think that's enough soil in rotation to keep 5 or 6 plants in the flowering area at all times.

This actually might work out :)

Guawi was promoted to late veg today

Ace Guawi (71 days from seed) was transplanted into her 7-gallon pot today. (I pronunce the name Wa-wee.)

Ace Seeds website said:
By pollinating the Old Malawi Killer with a refined F5 fruity and incensey Tikal, we have recreated Guawi: a pure sativa F1 hybrid of great vigor, yield and very high potency, that combines great african and american sativa genetics.

This updated Guawi version improves all previous versions we have made up to date of this limited edition, which has only been available for short periods of time in the last decade.

Tikal (with 75 % Guatemala sativa genetics) complements Malawi with a stronger, more compact structure, bulkier flowers and a shorter flowering time, improving also the terpene profile of the original Old Malawi Killer.

We recommend Guawi to all growers looking for sativas of great vigor, high production, complex terpene profiles, and overpowering and long lasting psychedelic effects.

THC concentrations are always high or very high: between 17-23%.

With the words 'Old Malawi Killer' in the description, I decided Guawi needed orcish protection. Grishnákh volunteered.

My early veg area is looking very sparse, but there are 4 strains trying to root in the clone bucket.
Two of the clones might not take - I took monstercrop cuttings: one at day 30-ish, one at day 70-ish.

Lilly is amazing. Not that the rest of your plants are not. It's that Lilly just speaks to me. Amazing plant Rad.

Thanks Guage. Here's a photo from today

Lily at 47 days in the flowering area - Flowered only under the COBs

Lily's clone mother was 94g under 600W HPS - Compared to her mom at this age , this Lily's buds are more open and frostier.

Lily's Clone mother (36 days) She has really frosted up in the last 4 days. She's a good girl. About 42" tall.

Your garden looks amazing as usual Rad. I always love what I see when I stop in. Happy growings and hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Thank you. You folks are very supportive of my efforts to grow.

I found out that I was probably using my nutes wrong, as I had stopped using Doc Bud's Transplant after the Cat Drenches.

I'm now switching to Water - Growth Energy - Water - Transplant all the way through flowering (with a break for Cat-Cat-Water)

Hopefully the extra transplant will turn out to be frosty juice - let it snow!

Drive by,
Girls look to be coming along beautifully. But I swear Rad,, I'm going to send you a gallon of flat white paint.... JK Kind of. Them brown walls are drinking up your lights.... You can be losing up to 20% of you lighting being sucked into them. And here I have a brown closet door in my room. I swear my room got hella bright when I covered my dark hardwood floors with something white. It's was different as night an day.

I didn't like the way the paint sprayer worked on the wood walls in a small space. The veg area has two white walls in the corner with the light, so it's fine.
The flower area has one white wall and 3 wood walls. I was going to go back and paint brush them, but at 1200W of HPS for 12 square feet, it didn't seem urgent.

Now that I'm running the lower watt COBs in half the flower area .. I dunno, I guess it depends on the next few harvests.

Hey Rad! Looking great as usual! Have a rockin weekend!

:theband:

Musical, but not rocking. They are doing 3 days of free concerts for my old Jazz Band teacher this weekend. He started the event a few years back and passed a few months ago. More jazz, blues, and funk than rock :)

Tuesday, the girl went on stage during a jam session and sang a Stevie Ray Vaughan song. Awesome backup - a solid 4 piece plus tenor sax. This was her first public performance. I am so proud of her.

This summer she did modeling shoots for 3 photographers and a painter, a day as an extra in an short indie movie, did props and make-up for another short indie movie(screening soon), had 3 pieces of art on display in a local coffee shop (THE coffee shop for the college crowd), and sang for 80+ people in an open air jam. That's a pretty good summer for an artistic teen.

I'll pitch in a the rollers and brushes lol. Need me to come out and do it for you?

I store my paint and rollers about 8 feet away  I'm down to my last 2 gallons of flat white

I try not to get too many projects going at the same time and my priorities are :
1) sand and refinish the living room floor (started last week)
2) complete the brick patio in the back yard
3) secure college financing

I don't even think about a project that's not in the top three unless it can be done in 2 hours.
I guess I could do the paint job in 2 hours - but not until after I harvest CBD Critical Cure, she won't survive a move.

I'm pushing to get the living room floor (and walls) done. The couch, love seat, 2 arm chairs, and a 55" TV in the front hallway are a bit crowded when gusts come over. I encourage guests to come over, I get almost no work done when we have visitors :)

There were 3 bands playing outdoors for free and a local brew pub released a new stout last night. It was 78 degrees with a light wind. It's tough being a responsible adult in August.

1) sand and refinish the living room floor (started last week) Ugh, but definitely.
2) complete the brick patio in the back yard. Forgot about that one... sorry.
3) secure college financing... I'm pretty sure that your already smart enough, if you count the other two above.

I don't even think about a project that's not in the top three unless it can be done in 2 hours. Tell me about it.

Hang in there. I got your six.

Kali China is China Yunnan, an indica landrace with sativa characteristics in it with the old Kali Mist mixed in with it. It is supposed to have an incredibly diverse terpene profile and nice growth structure. It seems like from what they are crossing as well, that it is one of those strains that enhances others when it is crossed.
Sweet thats good to hear since i have a kali mist photo i will be crossing with a red poison auto so im excited to see how it turns out but yea rad lookn great on kc hope she turns out as nice 4 u as all my kali mists have the outdoor one have exploded in height and growth lol annd even my inside one its the biggest girl ive ever grown inside yet and its only been in the flower tent 13 days and has nice buds already going oh yea that ace mix u have going sounds pretty tastey brotha cant wait to see ur next harvest speaking of harvests i have a purple kush tht will be coming dwn in the next couple days jus letn her fox tail abit more still but now im off to take some pics of the flower tent lol great job man lookn great as always

Kali Mist is an energizing sativa. Your plants are probably going to get big.The Kali China that I'm talking about is mostly China Yunnan (an indica landrace with some sativa characteristics in it) mixed with a bit of Kali Mist to help bring those sativa traits out a bit more.

I can't say that I blame you. You have a better system than I have going. It's easy to get buried under a to do list.

The girls are looking good. The guawi caught my eye. That's one I've considered getting multiple times. It sounds like a killer cross. I've only hesitated, because I have a lot of Malawi genetics already going and to diversify.

Open jam. Now that's something I need to do again. Blues, jazz, and funk. Yea!

As much as I love Durban Poison, it makes me want to try that Kali Mist. Definitely on my list of seeds to pick up soon!!
