Radogast's Hi-Brix Basement Grow - New Location - New Soil - New Experiences

You know if you know a plant is going to be a runaway and height might be a issue, you, if you have space, use a MH bulb or qhatever veg light you use the first two weeks of flowering. And do away with any nitrogen she might be getting in the fertlizers. MH seems to help with limiting stretch. Nice crop you got going..
GL and Keepem Green

I flower by moving a new girl into the existing flower area.
I've noticed when I set the lights up higher, the reduced lighting seems to slow down stretch and with taller girls sharing the light, that's going to happen :)

She will go into flower about 12" high and I can handle up to about 55", so as long as she slows growth when the buds set we should be OK.

Kali China seems to be an Ace seeds favorite to tame the wild sativa structures with minimal influence on their potency and flavor profiles. I was a bit worried about growing this one, but KelticBlue has had actual harvests from Kali China crosses growing in a 1.5'x2.5'x3 foot tall tent.

Recently they seem to use the KC to tame the wilder strains, seems like sound logic. If I recall it is actually (kali x china) (China)
I need all the tame I can get in my tent. I like the look of all of the china crosses. Super cool for you to be able to consider a Haze experience that is a little tamer. I can live through you guys doing it right!
My last PCKxKC cured to a coffee smell in the jar and then woody when burnt. It doesnt smell like weed at all, very exotic. very resinous as well, clogs the pipe like no body's bizness.

I think you're gonna need a bigger boat.
..............Captain Quint spoke the truth. (My Fav!):cheertwo:

:goodjob:..best of luck with that china haze

Kali China is China Yunnan, an indica landrace with sativa characteristics in it with the old Kali Mist mixed in with it. It is supposed to have an incredibly diverse terpene profile and nice growth structure. It seems like from what they are crossing as well, that it is one of those strains that enhances others when it is crossed.

CBD Critical Cure

Most of CBD Critical cure buds look like this. (She is 70 days in the flower area.)

A few in the middle look like this - so I cut off a tester bud.

On the plant it looked like this bud had some amber trichomes, but I think I was just seeing reflected amber pistils.

Amherst Sour Diesel graduation day

After 115 days of vegging HSO Amherst Sour Diesel was finally ready to go into flower.

Her mother was put into flower on 2/13. My cloner pump was getting clogged but it took me weeks to notice so I lost some clones. I took a flowering clone, and the clone finally was ready to be planted in soil on 4/18 - I'm guessing it took about 40 days to show roots. Itransplanted her into a large pot on 6/13 and she is finally ready to flower on 8/10.

2/13 to 8/10 - that is darn near 6 months from the mother going into flower to the clone going into flower.
So far, I am not a fan of flowering clones or revegging, but I'll try either one to save the genetics.

As you can see by her clones, preflower is advanced. I think she will be quick to set flowers

Tangerine Widow

My latest Tangerine Widow seedling just started alternating nodes, so she should show sex pretty soon

Bubba's Gift reveg update

So after my rant about flowering clones and reveg, I decided it was time to look at Bubba's Gift
I was waiting for new growth to be long enough for a medium sized clone. While I was waiting, the new growth started setting buds. I was wondering why everything in veg was trying to flower so suddenly. I don't feel like setting the veg lights to a longer day (currently 15/9) just to accomodate this one plant. (She's been hogging space in the veg area for 3 months.) If I put her into flower today I'd probably get about 6 grams. I'm undecided. Her fate is up in the air.

Bubba's Gift (92 days of reveg) - It looks like the new leaves went straight into flower.

20170811_160227.jpg

I took a cutting, pinched off the flowers, and dropped her into the cloner

20170811_160415-1.jpg

I was running 18/6...and for whatever reason switched to 15/9(trying to maximize off peak rates).....it did jump start flowering mode in a couple strains...I was good with that...don't mind a staggered maturity at all...less consecutive time spent in trim jail...lolool...cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:

(Dupe of my post on the CBD Joy thread)

The wife tried the CBD Critical Cure sample buds today (harvested at 69 days in the flower area, clear trichomes.) Within a few minutes she went upstairs to read and took a 4 hour nap. Yesterday was a tiring day, a few hours at a powwow, almost all of it standing or walking, so that is a factor.

Early indications are this is a bedtime strain :)

I was looking around the grow areas today and counted 13 plants. With five in the flower area, I should be at 15 plants. It turns out I never took a clone of Agatha (Ace mix) or of CBD Critical Cure. The lady who is using Agatha with a topical likes the effects, (says it makes her feel sexy.) At 21 days in flower I took a cutting of Agatha to do a reveg clone (monstercrop).

I also grabbed a couple of cuttings from low on CBD Critical Cure, cut off the flowers and tucked them in the cloner. At 71 days in the flower area, I don't hold out much hope for rooting a clone.

Anyone have a good method for revegging a whole plant ?

I'm thinking of setting up a dedicated area and light to reveg her. I have a 3x100 LED light I can use. I can't afford this big girl hogging my veg area space.

Just mind the height above the canopy and that would work well. I vegged and flowered plants last year with a 5X60 led light and wasn't dissappointed. They are the same wattage. So go for it. :thumb:

I am going to sub in Rado! I finally read through all of this :laughtwo: I have pointed a few people towards PotChimp when they ask about revegging things. He has good luck with them. You can see plenty of examples if you go through his side projects journal :thumb:

Thanks. You read through the thread quick! It usually takes me a week to catch up on a 30 page thread. I'll check out PotChimp.

I can't believe I spaced out and forgot to clone on graduation day into flower - I mean, I can believe it, (I'm not that organized in most of my life,) but I follow a routine when growing. Routines make my life flow better :)

It took me probably 2 weeks or more to read through it. I dedicated more time than my wife found prudent doing so :laughtwo: But I wanted to follow along and do not like just jumping in without knowing what is going on. I do the same thing with cloning the day I transplant and it usually works out well until I have to transplant and only have time to do that and not clone. I actually had to do that last night. I cut lower branches off and put them in a cup of water for the time being. I actually had a blue cheese start to root in the cup of water last time and so I just stuck it in soil :)

Borderliner Graduates into the Flower Area

I decided those girl in Veg are flowering and will continue flowering, I don't have time to reveg, so they will continue to flower.

I was going to veg longer, but it is what it is. They'll be good bud.

With one more slot available in the flower room, I chose Borderliner over AK47.
AK47 can move into the flower area when CBD CRiical Cure(72 days) is harvested. Until then, she flowers under the T5 veg light.

AMS Borderliner XTRM graduated into the flower area. Her monk protector is doing a faceplant (embarassed about early flowering I guess)

Borderliner 2nd genration clone - 16" high with a 19x21" canopy - only about 8 tops, but she should produce at least 1.5 oz - better than a reveg.

Borderliner and HSO Amherst Sour Diesel (Day 4). They look tiny and cute in the middle row of the flower area.

For the first time, 6 girls in the flower area! Switching from 10 gal to 7 gal pots made that possible.

Borderliners look real nice & healthy Rad. Did they start to flower in 18/6? :Namaste:

They started to flower in 15/9. I had switched from 18/6 to 15/9 about a month ago when the re-veg plant started to show new growth.

About a week ago, I replaced one of my 4 Agromax full spectrum (purple) T5s that burned out with with an old 6000K veg bulb that looks very yellow in comparison.

I set the veg light to 16/8 and unplugged the 6000K veg bulb. (So I am running 3 Agromax full spectrum T5 HO bulbs.)

I pulled Lily out of the flower area yesterday to add Borderliner and do the Hi-Brix spray. Might as well take pictures :)

I harvested about 4 grams of Critical Cure for a friend who just had a bicycle accident and could use some heavy night time / sleepy time meds. Trichomes are still clear.

CBD Critical Cure (72 days) - up against the wall. Waiting for her blindfold and firing squad.
