Radogast's Hi-Brix Basement Grow - New Location - New Soil - New Experiences

My Lily is a sativa that seems to grow like an indica heavy hybrid.
The mother went into flower at 18" tall and finished at 35" tall in 54 days for a yield of 94g.

The clone also went into flower at 18" tall and so far looks like she will end up about the same size. She is about 3-5 days behind her mother in the pace of flowering. I feel like she will go 58-64 days under the flowering lights. It's too early to guess about yield.

ShAzam! Rad. That is what I like to hear. Real world results. Thank you so much. Sounds like something I could run. My wife is getting so much better describing what she likes. She likes the sativa heavy auto from CannaBioGen. So.... I was gonna try the new ACE auto first thing next year. But, I might run lilly never tried the delicatessen,...Yet.

:thanks:

EdIt: just ran through seedsman, Fems of both Lilly and Upstream, i could run them side by side, i am getting silly again. :ciao:

Carnival Harvest

I looked closely at Ministry of Cannabis Carnival today

Her trichomes were looking a little battered.

I looked at her size - a great size !

I looked at her color in natural light and saw the pistils had changed color

Sweet! A step in the right direction. Pa went with a limited list of "qualifying conditions" and left out the right to grow, but what they'll find out when they get up and running is the demand will far exceed their projections. One step at a time mouser. We're closer to the tipping point every day. Once California goes full legal in January it's going to completely change the game.

If I hear of any requests for clones I'll let you know. :hugs:

I know I rant at it often... sorry.
As I watch my own state attempt to roll out an MMJ system, I've totally witnessed the stupidity involved. Of course, the more convoluted any plan becomes, the more options for corruption and insanity become available. Mixing politics and medicine... gee... who would of thought that could cause any problems?!?!
When Tead looks at the landscape of his country, he sees some bright spots... but not many, and they're very overwhelmed by the darkness. And then he remembers that this insanity has been seen in his eyes since the '70s.... so he's just not convinced that the forward momentum is worthy of any recognition. Further, he sees the potential for a touch of a radical swing in the coming years.

Really just trying to share a view thru Tead's eyes. Perhaps he's a pessimist, but he might remind you that a pessimist is rarely disappointed.

Have you ever tried to catch cats that dont want to be caught :) Worse case is we keep on keeping on, but I am uncharacteristically optimistic that the move toward acceptance will continue.

The initial response to a sample of oven dry Carnival.

5-8 gram a day smoker: "This smells fruity for oven dry."

Other smoker: "Yeah it does smell fruity."

5-8 gram a day smoker: (Smoke. Pass.) "Whoa that hits fast!"

Other smoker: (Smoke.) "That really does hit fast!"

(They begin an animated conversation about digital technology and over-personalized apps.)

(10 minutes later)

5-8 gram a smoker: "This stuff gets you high. If we didn't have someplace to go, I could sit or go do stuff." "I feel like I have a choice."

Me: (to other smoker) "Are you high?"

Other smoker: "Yeah. That's why I'm so chatty."

I enjoy the confidence I have that High Brix gardening will grow high quality plants.

I'm not very good at the "I feel the plant/soil needs more of this" observations, so I follow a rigid sequence of nutrients applied when the plant needs more water - it's a pattern rather than a schedule. Maybe in another 15 harvests, I can start tweaking the pattern :)

My family enjoys the quality of High Brix gardening - and that's what really matters most.

I'll be trying to tweak the lights and space over the next few months, but I'm 100% SOLD on using Doc Bud nutrients for High Brix growing.

I feel I got lucky on this plant. A combination of good genetics, pretty good environmentals, no pests, and great soil/nutrition.

The size was perfect for my space. I'm very confident I exceeded my goal of 2.5 oz minimum per plant.

If the quality holds up as expected, I might run 2 clones of Carnival at the same time :)

Holy schnikies Rad! Damn that Carnival harvest looks amazing! :high-five::high-five:

Love the pic of them all lined up and the battleship one too! (Is that a young Donald Trump on the left?) I also like the way you cut them to have art of the main stalk to hang from! +Reps

I always say one needs to grow a strain afew times to really know how to grow it. If that was your first harvest, Rad, you did real well.

I'm struggling a bit with knowing what's important for a good harvest. Today I decided to put (Ace Mix) Agatha clone into the flowering area. She's about 2 inches shorter than her mother, and about the same size canopy, but with more probable bud sites. I'm going to try to run a few clones where the sign if 'readiness' to flower is with more bud sites. If my notes are good, maybe I'll be able to see how that affects yield.

Agatha (+0 days) I'm leaving her training wires in place for a week or two.

When I opened the flower area today, CBD Critical Cure was all flopped in several directions. One main cola was supercropped and touching the ground. Two of the three other main branches were bending off in other directions. I moved her up close where I could inspect her and tied her up .

CBD Critical Cure (+53 days) - I tied her branches together with a string and stapled the string to the wall. This also moved her under COBs.

20170730_170728-1.jpg

AK47 XTRM moved into her big pot today. I wired down her branches to promote more bud sites.

20170730_170625-1.jpg

The Lego dudes did OK with the previous AK47. The one next to the trunk is buried shoulders deep in the soil.

Carnival clone graduated to the flower area today.

Ministry of Cannabis Carnival clone looked tall enough to start flowering (16"high x 23"x20".)

20170804_145721-1.jpg

She has enough good budsites (12+) to let her stretch and flower.

Our good friend Frodo went back on security duty, keeping Carnival hidden, keeping Carnival safe.

20170804_145738-1.jpg

I tucked her in the back under the HPS. I'm now back up to 4 girls in the flower area.

20170804_150352.jpg

UltraDawg seed lifted up soil today. She looks a bit like Audrey from Little Shop of Horrors. I started to help her with the soil but since she still has her helmet atttached, I decided to make her work for it.
