Got your post Blazin :)

My favorite pipe (Fish Bowl Glass) is a hammer with stem lifted up into a sort of Sherlock shape that stands up by itself.

This smokes awesome. The neck provides all important beard clearance. The person-to-person pass is effortless, requiring no fore-thought. The carb has an excellent clear, and effectively modulates a thick, smooth, milkable draw.

I like cradling it in my hand and walking through the woods. When not in use, it can be carried upright in a small bag (such as my man purse) without tipping and spilling the water.

My Fish Bowl in the shop the day I bought it.

A fast look at the flowering girls

Bubba's gift (back left - 20 days) had her second cat drench today. Amherst Sour Diesel (53 days) is just chugging along.

I pulled Borderliner (53 days) out of the flower stall so I could foliar spray all 3 plants.

Borderliner trichomes are still cloudy and well formed. Which is good because she is bulking up nicely.

Carnival  They are so cute at this age - no leaves hiding behind other leaves.

Nice girls. Have u always done foilar sprays during flowering?? I've always been hesitant to do it bcuz of effecting the taste bt I might have to try it on a plant or two to see.

I tried to do Living Organic Soil (LOS) before - and you really need to do foliar's to keep the soil commmunity going - but I didn't do foliar's so my yield suffered.

Then I got spider mites, and I kept them to where they seemed to be gone (I saw no damage,) by doing a neem foliar spray every 2-3 days. Neem oil doesn't taste good, but the buds tasted great at harvest, even when sprayed with neem oil and soapy water the night before. THERE WAS NO FLAVOR PROBLEM SPRAYING THE DAY BEFORE HARVEST. I wash my buds so that helps.

Spraying with Neem Oil got me over a fear of folair spraying - and I sprayed a lot, 1 qt (32 oz) for an average of 8 flowering plants and 20 vegging plants.

This grow is using the soil mix, nutrient feeding method, and foliar sprays of Doc Bud's Hi Brix kit. It's a one stop shopping solution for growing a finely balanced living soil with organic (or near organic) nutrition. There are some fantastic organic growers here who help other growers (Bobrown14 comes to mind) but Doc Bud has put together a franchise type solution, where one buys the stuff, does the actions, the soil does not get depleted early, and the product is top shelf. I get to follow my principles as a human who has recycled since 1968, but I don't have to spend the major time honing the major skills to make it work - I just folllow the Doc Bud formula and it works.

Sorrry for the long answer, but I feel confidence in foliar sprays during flower because I am basically copying a successful formula that is being done by dozens of other people here on 420 magazine. And they are watching and ready to pick me up if/when I fall down.

Speaking of foliar spraying: Tonight I sprayed 90 ml of brix foliar on 10 plants. The bigger flowering girls (about 2x2x3.5',) each got about 25ml (nearly 2 TBSP.)

How much Brix Foliar do you other Hi-Brix growers use?

holy crap that is nice. Reminds me I got to clean my wife's spoon pipe soon.

I think it's nice. :) I did say it was my favorite water pipe!

Hey Rad! I gave Brix/way ahead tonight, I do 2ml of Brix to 2 oz of water and 1/2ml of WA, once per week.

Thanks. 2ml of Brix to 2oz of water is the right mixing formula, I used 3ml Brix/ 3 oz water this afternoon. I'm just wondering if I use enough BRIX on my plants. All the leaves get some foliar on them, but they are a long ways from dripping wet. I would take about 16-20 oz to get my whole grow dripping wet.

I don't have Way Ahead. It didn't come with my kits, so I haven't used it.:thanks:

I use about an ounce of foliar for each full sized plant in bloom. I'll mix up 16 ounces for 8 blooming plants in a 4x4, and their supporting plants in veg, and I won't use it all.

We should get some data from the others, too. This is one of those things we haven't really compared much. :hmmm:

I think you've got the right ratio. I'd use a bit more, just don't get 'em soaking wet. A light mist is best.

Man rad lookn gud n gud luck on the new babies may they be thick n frosty great job on the member of the month was it? I forget nw lol jus smoked a bowl so alil spacey but watever one it was congrates brotha

It was Journal of the Month :) I was up for member of the month once - I think I got 2 votes - even I voted for someone else

Here's 3 photos of one of Borderliner's buds - basking in that golden HPS glow. At first glance, she looks mostly done.

A week ago, ALL the pistils were orange and she looked done to the naked eye. Since then, she has bulked up and is throwing new pistils.

I'm pleased with the frostiness - Mostly cloudy, some clear, no amber, no wrinkly old trichomes (It's easier to see the colors in person.)

I did a nanner hunt yesterday. Saw one wrinkled nanner, so all good.

I swear by HPS lights... Pretty plants... But this 'Old Dog' might try something new,, I have a 30" X 16" 'mother tent' that wood be a nice one for a LED light.. We'll see if I can save any monies from this trip to go play some black jack and slots.. New Casino around,, and we have a family/friends invitaion to 'donate' some monies.. Oh well Miss J doesn't ask for much,, cept alittle slot time.. You sure been cranking out some fine looking herbs.. Keepem Green

Thanks. I haven't been tempted much by LEDs due to high price and further distances from plants. BUT RECENTLY I have been seeing these modular COB lights with heat sinks cropping up in grow tents. Hang some rails, wire some ballasts and plugs, and away you go. Lower heat and electric bills. They say you hang them fairly close to the canopy. I'm watching for them to grow big juicy plants to decide, but they look promising. The prices seem to be low enough that they will pay for themselves in reduced elctricity within a year. I'd rather throw my money at LED COBs than at slot machines :)

I can tell you they're making a dramatic difference in my garden Rad. You're gonna be glad you saved the money if you go with COBs. I'm already seeing a reduction in my electrical usage. The company sends me a weekly update on my usage and it's gone down two weeks in a row since installing the COBs, and the plants love them.

And how easy were they to hang? It's a DIY dream come true. :cheesygrinsmiley:
