Thanks. If i only knew i could have called me Seymore Nuggets instead of this, but you got me right. Nugget is actually a pseudonyme of mine i got from a mate and i like it. Had quite a laugh about your families humour.... It fits mine pretty well to this point lol. Hugh Janus... LOL... Thats cool in my book.
I get back to the beloved plants because we all wanna seymore nugget right? Miiihiiihiiii
I planned to put some new plants into my tent in 6 weeks after i am done with my current flowering. But now reading more about organic gardening and remembering my first grow where i went for all organic homemade soil i think i will take a break and cook some soil during the warm season and store it inside for some month when it gets colder. I had the healthiest plants and a good yield on my first grow in that soil even after using chelated ferts after 3 weeks of veg ... The other 2 grows in premixed non organic HQ soil and perlite just dont turned out that great, this time i used mycorrhizae and i got some beautiful plants growing even sitting in a harsh mineral ferted soil and heavy problems after am accidently dry out... And i mean a heavy dryout...another 24h later and they would have been dry to the snap.
I try to remember what i used in my soil... It is 2,5 years and severeal oz of pure thc later now
BRAIN DAMAGE. Have to translate everything in english too
OK. THINK NUGGET, THINK
I think i got it.
I used 60L of unferted soil as a base and spread it on a big canvas to let the hot sun 'desinfect' it for some days or kill unbenefitial stuff to a point. Then i added 30L of wormcasting on top and 10 to 15L of perlite. I am not shure how much of the following ingedrients but it was maybe a total 10 percent of the base soil.
Primitive rock dust (mainly SiO2, Magnesium and some trace elements)
Horn dust (for faster nitrogen release)
Horn flakes (for slower nitrogen release)
Dry fish powder
Powdered pinguine guano
Dolomite lime
More Silica
I folded the green canvas over and let it cook for 2 weeks in half shade, sometimes i dragged it into the sun and mixed it and let it cook for some hours. After 2 weeks i used the soil and placed seeds inside. They were thriving even under a semi-crappy LED
I used liquid vitamins and mycorrhizae from start to end, natural molasses during flower too. The airpots were crowded with healthy white roots and i got 8oz from a 300W LED. 2,5x2,5 on 9 small autos. Maybe 8 to 10 inches high. I could press the soil down with my foot and could not rip out the plants without brutal forces after i harvested. I used the same soil on a single Northern Lights i vegged for 5 month in the living room only with window sun and i got 5oz from that plant harvested a lil too early. The flowering was done under the same 300w led in a tent.
The grows after that got worse and worse because i got lazy and bought premixed HQ mineral ferted soil simply adding perlite using the same chelated ferts. I could rip out the plants with ease... Nothing strong at all.
So thats part of my story lol. If you want more from nuggets life visit the threads in my sig.
Is it possible to go mostly organic (low EC) in a coco-perlite-soil-blend? I want to try some coco/perlite mix in my 2x3 closet and grow 2 plants in 30 or 40L pots and use the same organic components again
