Radogast's First Indoor Seed Grow - In Search of Mothers

So you noticed I was down to my last wire :)
:bravo:

Since I disassembled Romex that was 2 strand plus copper ground, one of my "girls" is restrained with copper wire and zip ties.
I like the McGyver look :-)
Gonna have a little chat with the wife about zip ties instead of the usual 8mm hemp rope - I'm thinking she'll be real careful about wiggling with a zip tie diameter cuff. Then again, I do like to watch her when she really yanks her wrists.
For those offended, sorry. It's our anniversary tonight:loopy::partyboy::surrender:

:thumb:happy anniversary nothing like a bit of rough to end a wicked day:lot-o-toke::laughtwo::laughtwo::slide::rofl::rofl::peace::peace:

I'm curious about your 12/12. It's is very fun to put it on that cycle I totally agree. Are you worried about the stress caused by flipping to flower then back to veg then back to flower? I would think that would weird them out a bit and cause strange growth. I'm just curious a I've never done it. I also think 30 days of veg is good for a personal use indoor garden. I do the same veg time to keep them under control.

hopefully its an all girl slumber party! Im going to have to do the same with a few of my ladies also. They were free seeds, but non feminized......

I was talking with a 20 year grower about my grow and how I was planning to flower a pair now and flower the other five later.
His opinion was that I had way too much time and energy in these plants to flower today when I will have twice the yield in 2-3 more weeks.
Taking in to account that I have a 4x8x8 flower room. My seven are only taking half the floor space and half the ceiling height.

His opinion is that I might slow down the veg by a week, but it is worth it not to do a full veg on the boy seeds while they crowd the girl seeds.
FEMINIZED SEEDS FROM NOW ON!

Spending 50 days and 6 gallons of dirt and space on boy plants is a lot more expensive than feminized seeds.

I totally agree. If you have the space and time veg for as long as you can to really fill it in.

Pardon me for bird walking but...If you flower early it will mess up the whole space time continuum. sorry I'm a trekkie

After the first night, early returns from the polls are 2 girls, 2 boys, 3 undecided.
These are early returns but I expect to know tomorrow night.

I'll post photos and measurements tonight. :Namaste:

One should never apologize for being a trekkie or a trekker :cheesygrinsmiley: I saw a Donatello Mutant Ninjas on one of these grow photos. I knew I should have put shelves in the flower room.:partyboy:

Think ya got it right....... Man that Sea Of Green is making me drool!

Looking good. You have the sex right on both your pictures. If you like you can wait the balls get bigger and easier to see. But I would just pull the bad boy. Its using up light hehe.
Happy Growing

Two days into 12/12, it looks like 3 ladies, 2 boys, and 2 plants that are keeping their gender identities a secret :)
Gonna let the boys have a couple more days of light to be sure.

I haven't decided how to dispose of the bodies. The top options are:

Sink 'em in the swamp (The Jersey method)
Bury them in the land bridge construction site (another classic mobster choice)
Toss them in the compost (no respect, they get no respect)
Bag 'em and trash 'em (my recycling father's ashes are getting restless,)

It's not a serious decision as much as a philosophical statement :)

Those clones are looking quite good Radogast. Hopefully when i get my mothers set up in my bathroom, i will have some clones looking that good.. I actually plan to build my own 50 site cloning machine in the next couple weeks based on a design i saw on this site, as well as on youtube. Just gotta figure out how i'm going to give the clones light, and in a way that doesn't take over my apartment! i'm already taking over the ensuite bathroom in my master bedroom for my Mother plant area.

Keep up the good work, i'll be checking in often

Clones are looking great.

I got a tip for ya. Cut all the leafs in half on your clones. They will root faster and begin growing sooner.
It helps the clone focus its energy on roots and not foliage.

I've seen a huge difference in all types of cloning. I can pickup the rock wool with the clone within 5 days and see root sticking out in about 10 days. Also helped my survival rate.

Cheers
