Radogast 2 - Return of the Clones

I trimmed 6 6-inch stalks from a rosemary plant and brewed in a gallon of water at a low boil for 20 minutes.

The rosemary tea reduced to 3/4 gallon. It smells about right compared to the SNS217 rosemary based spray. My tea seems a touch weaker. It is a shade darker than a standard english teabag creates.

I sprayed the rosemary tea on all the plants. I will repeat after 3 days as a spray against mites,

There is no answer to the vacation question that doesn't discuss spiritual and magical practices that make some folks nervous. So feel free to skip the answer and I in turn will make my answer a brief outline.

The trip was 6 hours by commuter rail and regional trains, followed by 31+ hours on the Amtrak Crescent in sleeper car from Penn Station, NY to New Orleans - stay in the French Quarter for 6 days, and return Amtrak in the reverse direction..

In fullfilment of a promise to a (non-catholic) saint, and other contributing factors, I ended up attending 3 different New Orleans Voodoo sessions, a Blessing of the Waters with 200 people from 4 continents aboard Mississippi Stern-wheeler Creole Queen, met an old man with a golden cane at the crossroads and made a contract with him (involving original art), joked with authors, artists, witches, pagans, doormen, pedicab drivers, warlocks, saints and witch doctors, ate fine dinners with escargot and turtle soup, ate at early morning diners with grits, aligator po-boys and cheeseburgers, went shopping for trinkets, trivets, rings, stones, a new hat, unique magical items, and generally tried to keep quiet, drink cognac from a flask, vape home-made kinnikinnick and not talk to spirits of the dead more than absolutely neccesary.

I enjoyed myself immensely :)

Even for me, it was an unusual vacation.

Hey you probably rolled through my city on the way down and back.

Well first the Bad news I have removed everyone but Pammy from the flower room because of infestation of some kind but pammy seems to have little damage and I want to get at least one plant all the way through. She has been in flower for 10 weeks and is just putting on buds ( but dumb me was reading feed sched. wrong and wasnt giving her enough nutes ). I looked at her buds what she has and some of the hair looking thingies are starting to turn a orange brown so may not have her much longer.

NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS
Ordered another 6 inch cool tube and should have it in by Fri of this week or mon. of next . Lost everybody but the one lemon kush in seedling but Dr. Bearkenstien always a something up his sleeve and remember all those seeds that got spilled awhile back well I have seedlings that are 27 days old ready to go into veg soon as new cool tube gets here. they have been outside so might not take the trans real well. when they go into veg I will switch them to 12/12 light to sex em then to 18/6 for their six week veg then on to 13/11 for the flower to harvest. Will have 15 of em and figure if I end up with 7 males I will be doing good, also when they come in for veg I will start adding nutes at half strength.
The nutes I am using contain
VEG : Bat guano , worm castings , soy protiens kelp extract, molassas, yucca extarct
FLOWER : Bat guano , worm castings , soy protiens kelp extract, molassas, yucca extarct , langbeinite, a natural source of potassium that is carefully mined from ancient sea beds in the deserts of the American Southwest.

Am switching to a mix of 70% coco/perlight to 30 soil. will be doing 2-3 plants per pot. Seen some awesome work with braiding ( what it looks like at stem level of mature plant) somewhere on here and gonna have to search my drain bramaged mind would like to try something like that. Was also sitting here well medicated this morning and thought has anyone ever done a pot Bonzai???? Can't take pics right now cause fone cam sux. That is all for tonight so see ya all in the funny papers

Genetic mutation + potency loss = up to 25% difference. Compare a fourth gen clone to the seedling mother and you'll believe. Look it up! Agreed, peer reviewed science will be great.......you do it, I have precious little time.

I would have to disagree with this . I have been cloning from clone with the same strains for three and a half years and have not noticed any difference in how potent or structure of the plant . I also grow perpetual SOG , so I have gone through many generations of clones with no problems at all.:peace:

Flowers

I was hoping to do some trichome photos, but one of the relations put my loupe in his pocket yesterday, and did not return it today.

I'm not leting the relations start other plants this fall and winter. I've decided I don't do sharing well when it comes to grow rooms. I like things to be where I left them. I like the fans on at the speed I set them and pointed in the direction I placed them. I don't want roaches and ash in the garden room. These have become 'pick up your clothes' type regular issues.

Yesterday, I came back to an overdue dry leaf cleanup of Big Bertha and there were cannabis leaves strewn all over the floor by my furnace: 8 feet from the flower room! My urge was to plant some ring marks on the one face and yell at the other face for letting them do it. I don't need this type of disrespect of grow conditions and extra work for me.

I'm bringing my knobby cane downstairs. Get out of my yard you .. you whippersnappers!
Oooh whip. I'm bringing down my short whip instead :yahoo:

/rant off

Now it's time for the B Girls Cavalcade of Buds.

Borderline Bowie - 7 weeks

20150902_212937-2.jpg

She won't have usable trim due to the bug dotted leaves.

Bowie has a lot of short, fat buds. She is looking good to me.

20150902_212758-1.jpg

Breeder seed Big Bertha - 7 weeks. She has dark green leaves. The top fan leaves are browned (sunburned?)
Her buds are somewhat mushroom shaped (bigger on top.)

20150902_212947-1.jpg

Bellatrix (White Widow) - 4 weeks. I wasn't expecting much good bud, but she looks like she might produce after all.
She has stretched to within 8 inches of the light at highest setting.

The other bud is my reveg. I think the top single-blade leaves are new - but I'm not sure.

Put that foot firmly down Rad. Losing use of the grow rooms is simply the unintended consequences of their actions, or in this case, their lack of actions as well. This is your hobby space and respect should be practiced. It's also a med source and should be treated as such.

Kids, what are you gonna do? Well, I guess you can kick them out, can't you? :laughtwo:

Things continue to click along in your kingdom. Good to see. Carry on. :battingeyelashes:

Good to see you too... I'm still 20 pages (8 days?) behind on catching up with your Grow thread after my days away from 420 mag.. So I haven't said anything. ..

Love you like a sister (I don't talk to my RL sister as much :) )

After that testimony there's nothing left to talk about. We still love you John...

Wow! You even have to tell them to pick up their clothes? There would be some furniture moving around here behind some stuff like that. Rant on dude, rant on.

How's the AK treating you? That's one of my favorites.
Was that from Serious?

The AK47 were not from Serious, they were from 420 sponsor Amsterdam Marijuana Seeds.

I think they are reselling seeds bred and stabilized somewhere else.

The buds are pretty and potent - but nothing really special in taste or effect - VERY Good, mind you, but not a forever favorite.

I took a close-up for you

Top nugs (partial) harvest of Big Bertha

Breeder seed Big Bertha was almost all cloudy with scattered amber on top nugs and all clear on the lower nugs.
The relations did a partial harvest.

Big Bertha, 8 weeks flower, 12 weeks 12/12, top nugs (partial) harvest

20150907_155703-1.jpg

Nugs have a slight 'mushroom top' shape. There are Brown-top/purple-bottom leaves with red veins mixed with dark green leaves. These nugs may look quite good after the dry :)

20150907_155550-1.jpg

Branches are well packed with dense, smelly nugs

20150907_155621-1.jpg

Big Bertha after her haircut: 2/3 of the foliage and 2/5 the buds were left behind for 1-2 weeks

20150907_155810-1.jpg

The remaining nugs are either getting dank or smaller popcorn. Still have spider mites. I am foliar spraying with rosemary tea this close to harvest. Early flower and veg rooms are getting a 1% neem oil solution alternating with rosemary tea sprays.

20150907_155821-1.jpg

Oven dried pocorn from the top nugs is mild, slightly fruity with a "Woah dude, Whats going on?" stoner high.
"Party on, Bill !"
"Party on, Ted !"
"EXCELLENT!" :high-five:

next in line for harvest...

Borderline Bowie, 8 weeks of 11/13, growing some rocket nosed colas - all clear trichomes, swelling buds.

Congrats on your 1/2 a harvest Rado.

Party on Wayne!
Sweet lighter.

The 3 bikini elements each have water chambers and LED lights that flash rapidly and alternate.
I thought it was a great "My parents went to New Orleans and all I got was ... ooh cool torch" gift for an 17 year old boy :)
He also got a zippo for his more dignified moments

Party on Garth!

You're getting better at these close-ups Rad. Nice work. Isn't it disappointing when you smoke them and they're just.....OK? We're so spoiled. I think one of my favorite things about a perpetual grow is the variety you can push through without fear of running out. That way you can ferret out the strains that you find to be "meh". My Auto Destroyer was like that. Got a buzz but......... I think I have another seed, so I'll try again.

Congrats on the partial. Such a cool lighter Rad. What a hoot!!!
