Radogast 2 - Return of the Clones

What do you think would be the best acid to infuse?

I'm thinking it wouldn't be too hard to infuse sake and most other grain alcohols and cook with those. But they don't always have the right flavor profile. Can you infuse wine? I would think that heat would ruin most wines?

Thinking out loud. Don't mind me.

edit:

and then as I post that, I found this.

Melissa Etheridge | My Cannabis-Infused Wine Tincture

Heat it's just a way to speed up the process of infusion.

Wine would not like the heat, sunlight, or air but one can drop buds in wine, reseal and wait 4-6 months. An alcohol that is stable at room temperature, such as rum will not spoil in those 4-6 months. But you could also heat and reduce a hard liquor like rum or vodka.

If I were adding cannabis to wine, I would soak decarboxylated marijuana in Brandy for a couple of days, reduce the brandy slowly under a low heat, then mix with a full bodied red wine like a malbec or a merlot. This would be a double fortified wine (cannabis and brandy.)

I don't mix white wine with anything, but I suppose one could make a decarboxylated marijuana tincture with a cherry liqueur, midori, hypnotic, black currant liqueur or similar mixer :)

Giselle popcorn, harvested 8/6, dried to 12.6g.
I moved her buds and branches into a mesh hamper above the basement dehumidifier after a week in the 51-78% RH room.

Caramelicious Sassy C1, harvested 8/6, dried to 6.7g

So I have a bottle of Bacardi 151. What would you do with that and cannabis?

Grats on the new buzz Rad. WooHoo!! Give me something speedy. :laughtwo:

I figured it out. One oz Bacardi + 3 oz cranberry juice. Drink while firing that cannabis up.

It worked out rather nicely. :battingeyelashes:

Hug that couch Rado....congrats!

You will like today's harvest for couch lock. :)

These plants are all sub-ounce. I don't want to grow sub-ounce plants anymore.

In the future, if they don't veg right, I'm cloning them or tossing them - not growing them out.

{Radio Announcer's Voice}
Introducing ....Today's Main Event .... The Harvest of AK47 Gaby.

You know, Rado, this morning, no one expected Gaby would be ready for harvest.

That's right, Gast! The experts were saying 8 weeks to harvest.

I know, Rado. I saw on the breeder's webite this was an 8 week harvest.

Noone believes those 8 week predictions.

I know what you mean, Rad buddy. I usually go at least a week past estmates.

When the trichomes are cloudy and losing shape - you can't argue with the loupe.

Arguing with the loupe is always a bad idea.

Still Gast, noone expected 6 weeks of flower.

Well, Rado, 7 weeks since you went 12/12.

Ok Folks let's take a look at the photos.

This first photo is blurry Rado.

20150815_114950-1.jpg

Blurry to be sure Gast

This next one is better, look at the bud tops. Nicely even canopy.

A little small aren't they, Rado

To be sure Gast, but it's only a 6 week old flower girl

20150815_115048-1.jpg

Do we have any more bud photos, Rado?

We sure do Gast!

20150815_115058-2.jpg

Starting to foxtail.

Yep, we had enough foxtailing seedy girls. No seeds on AK47 Gaby.

20150815_115132-1.jpg

Wow Rado, that last branch is tipped way over. What the heck happened?

Well, you know a six week old. She tripped all over the sill and then snagged in the curtain leaving the flower room. Bent 1/3 of her arms sideways..

That's awful, Rado.

You'd think so Gast. She used to stand 49" tall until you chopped her arms off. Check out this photo half chopped.

Lot's of popcorn there, Rado !

20150815_120115.jpg

Yeah, Gast. I can do better than that. I went and trimmed everything small off Bowie when I saw that photo.

Bowie's the Borderline.

That's right. She stands 36" tall.

Quite a bit shorter, isn't it Rado.

For sure Gast, I'll be aiming for 20-22" veg heights before the flower room from now on out.
Anyway, Gast, We did the pre-trim and wash. Check out AK47 hanging up.

20150815_141647-1.jpg

Looks like a long line, Rado.

Dense and small and lot of them

Say, was that a heavy bag there?

Of course it was Gast. Check out this branch hanging in front of that distinctive red colored sports equipment with a name ending in E.

20150815_141757-1.jpg

Woah - that looks like more than a pre-trim there Rad.

Our girls really like trimming, Gast

Also looks like product placement.

Hey there, Gast, This isn't a sports show. You can't even see the full name in the background.

20150815_141744-1.jpg

If you say so Rado.
Four plants in one day, your place must be a mess.

The smoking lounge table is a little messy.

20150815_141946.jpg

Not too bad. I'm going out of town. Maybe the problem will take care of itself  :blalol:

Yeah right, Rado :rofl::rofl:

They left a little popcorn.

20150815_141826-1.jpg

Nice trimming, Rado. That's not much waste at all.

Never wasted. Well pretty wasted from the scissor hash :bigtoke:

Don't I know it, Big Guy :cough:

I'm going to put that lose popcorn trim in the oven.

OK bud, see you next harvest ! :thumb:
:thumb:

Let me hit you with that Sledgehammer of Rep they allow me to swing Rad! That was priceless. Best yet. Mr. Teddy will be so proud. :laughtwo:

Congratulations on the harvest festivities. :thumb:

Hey Rad buddy, i'll clean up that smoking lounge table if you want !!!:bong:

Beat me to it John. :laughtwo: That's why I stopped back. LOL!

Hey Rad buddy, i'll clean up that smoking lounge table if you want !!!:bong:

The scissor hash of AK47 Gaby under a layer of Hawaiian Skunk Hani bud hit me hard and fast.
The oven dried AK47 popcorn transforming into gray ash (2 hours later) turned my high into overdrive, suitable for yardwork, at 9 PM.

Gaby is a peppy, hard hitting, get something done high; just what the doctor ordered to balance out couchlock :)

That table was cleaned by others who decided to stop trimming - for the pleasure of being high and trimming again tomorrow :)

20150815_190820-2.jpg

20150815_190857-1.jpg

P.S. These buds are not fluffy.

"Even the ash is dense, Gast."

"Thats right Rado, these are dispensary dense."

p.p.s. With the the 9:30 PM thunderstorm, I am very glad I'm typing here instead of doing yardwork in the dark of a new moon.

AK47 sounds like one I should test drive in my tiny pot perpetual. You described the buzz I'm seeking Rad. Enjoy. You earned it. Doing a little dance of joy for you Rad. :slide:

On the Blues Channel (cable TV)

Can't Even Do Wrong Right
by Elvin Bishop
...

Maurice took a notion

To rip off the house down the street

Heard they had a whole lots of real good weed

He snuck around the back

And made it in the house OK

And he located the stairs

Should be roll up the J

He got high and hungry

Wanted something to eat

Went into the kitchen

And made every damn thing he could see

But man, between the food and the weed

He sat down on the couch and he went to sleep

He got caught

In the middle of the night

Oh, ain't it a shame

The dude can't even do wrong right

Congratulations on your Awesome harvest Radogast, now hit the shower before the shower hits back.

I moved a light to expand the Late Veg area.

With recent harvests, I've 8 large pots in the veg area, so I shifted a light from falling on a concrete wall to falling on open floor space.

The late veg front row

Snowcap Snow Queen - continuing with weekly supercropping

Breeder Seed Lachesis - frequent LSTof the leader is evening up the canopy

Hawaiian Skunk Hani C1 - Topping occaisionally, she is bushier than her mother, with 5 main tops.

Moving the light added space for Gaby to reveg (It's an inexpensive experiment.)

Northern Lights has a new home and a new name Northern Lights Stella

20150816_123559-2.jpg

This is Stella a week ago.

20150812_200620.jpg

I ran out of PH down 2 weeks ago. Stella has not thrived on the tap water waterings.
The LOS soil in the 7 & 10 gal pots seems to handle the higher PH, but my little pots need PH down.

This is Stella today.

20150816_123604-1.jpg

It's always helpful if the light illuminates the plants rather than the concrete walls. :laughtwo: Well done Rad. Are you still having to pH balance? Well obviously you are, but I'm curious as to why. Your soil should be buffering for you. What am I missing?
