Purple Pics

Thanks Bill 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I've just got another smaller heater for the shed itself, to keep the temp around the tent warmer than what it is. That should help me. Saying that - i done some working out and my electricity bill has gone up £18 a week since I started. Where would you say that lies on the costing scale dude?

Am I going alright with the water, nute, water, nute..and so on? Or shall I just go nutes nutes nutes now they're really bulking up....

TIA

Be safe ✌🏻 👌🏻
Stick with what's working.
Don't make changes for the sake of making them :Namaste:
Fek 18 Pound a week.
At say $1.66 approximately for a Canadian dollar.
That's almost $120.00 a month. :(
Now your cost of living is different and wages are higher so ?
But I run a 10×10 grow facility light's, fans, dehumidifier, radiant floor heating all for under $40.00 a month. Basically 1/3 of your electricity cost.
My family is from Belfast if you didn't have peat in the fire you had a cold bath.
They didn't waste a penny on electricity.
Not allowed to plug in the immersion heater and unplug everything in the house before bedtime.
Electricity was ridiculously expensive.
An ounce of pot here is $100.00 .
What does it cost there?

Agree totally. That’s not to denigrate the joys of experimentation. But mid grow continue on the path and change it the next time / then you have something to measure it against.

I guess.

Its my day job in tech. Devise a plan you’ve rationalised and run it to the end. Don’t change inputs to the experiment unless critical. Run it again with the new inputs. Or chase your tail.

Standardise to get a result you’re nearly happy with. Then do again and change a little. And if it gets better next time you can test again with your other new theory.

You know this amigo. It seems obvious to me now but I killed 25 Girl Scout Cookies before I learned that! I’ve never killed anything in my day job. I was gutted 🥲

Loosing a lady is heartbreaking but 25 :(
It's happened to me a couple times.
I had to throw out 20 plants in flower.
You lean quick.
Work the plan and log everything you do.
Did that for 5 years straight, harvest every month.
Makes dialing it a little easier.
Roots baby that's key.:thumb:
Everything else is dependant on that!

Just trying to say as a new grower, 8 months maybe max. If I could go back in time 8 months and speak to myself my advice would be change one thing slowly at a time from the initial plan.

Nick
Otherwise your tail is going to follow you around in circles.

40$ a month!

What do you mean how?
It’s average $110.00 a month before I hooked up the hut.
The last 2 months with it fully operational has been dead on a $150.00.
I’ve had a few bumps on the head
So my math skills lack a little but that’s $40.00 extra a month I think. :nomo:
Too much? Too little?
Not sure which way your leaning Amigo :high-five:
The floor doesn’t even come on.
Lights are enough to warm the whole hut lung room and all.
If I turn on the auxiliary dehumidifier in the lung room I have to vent it outside.
It’s insulated so well a candle will heat it.

Thought that was a incredibly small bill for what you have going. Very nice!

The @VIVOSUN equipment is very energy efficient.
I'm thrilled with how little electricity it takes to run the equipment.
That cement floor retains the heat really well.
Just the light shining on it keeps it at 18 easily.
It's working out well.
My biggest issue is its so air tight.
That's not the worst problem to have.
Love the @VIVOSUN equipment though. :thumb:

An oz would cost a regular guy £200 here. That's near enough to $250 I'd say. I get it alot cheaper through connections.

I think the slightly high bill is the heaters I'm having to juggle. I'll get it right eventually dude 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Be safe ✌🏻 👌🏻

You got a pic or two your room in thread mate?

I’m the opposite of you - I’m in the business of removing heat and humidity relentlessly!

But honestly - I turn the airflow 180 then you get what you need.

Let me know what you and I can maybe suggest something.

From what @Bill284 suggests and my experience tells me / seal the room and heat with a candle. Or seal the room and recycle the air and suddenly your AC draw is halved.

Tents are tougher. Just seem to generate too much humidity. But I live on a tropical
Island and the clone/veg stuff in tents is semi outside. Meh we still a have dedicated wall mount AC unit and Co2 and yeah its probably as good a 4x8 veg tent ever. Its still so much harder to control than when its brick walls flower room.

Show me pic - I’ve spent a bit of time thinking about HVAC in grow tents/rooms recently.

Ultimately you seal up the room your plants heat it themselves. Energy gotta go somewhere, they swamp it with humidity too.

Oh add some Co2 too!

😆

See its all comparable even though it's I higher cost.
Your pot is 2x ours maby more.
So a few extra quid a week isn't that bad.:thumb:
As Nick mentioned air loss = heat loss.
Seal up as best you can to save money.
Do you have any insulation? Or is it a straight up wooden shed.
I'm picturing a lovely garden shed at the back of your yard.
Something typical British.
Still lot's of green grass.
We are expecting a storm.
The gentleman who does our driveway gave his final bill this morning.
I'm done he said don't call me anymore.
Poor guy is frazzled.
So I hope the storm isn't bad.
Stacey might get stuck if it is.
Already happened once this week.
