That would be a cool experiment, I have seen partially cooked brown rice shot up(steam sterilized with a pot NO PC), or Popcorn. There are so many ways to grow mycelium...

I throw gypsum in my simmer water(WBS), but the sprinkle for Oats sounds like a WINNER to me. Crack a few oats and check the innards.
A light dusting of gypsum helps them from sticking to one another. No need to reboil if you're grains are fully hydrated from the day before. Jar them up and PC them, no need to presteam the jars. Like @JohnnieJC3 said don't start your timer until you hit 15 psi and do not drop psi until the time has passed. If you drop below you have to start the time over again.

Its soft an squishy but not really mushy persay so i think its ready right? An about how much gypsum u think ishud use or jus give em alight coating so they r covered but not caked on there sumthn like tht?
Also with my grain jar lids once i put the pollyfill in do i put a piece of clear tape or sumthn over the pollyfill port or do i jus leave the pollyfill sticking out?

I can see the gelatin look in the center, but I'm seeing some white starchy areas.
