Prof's Lab: Diary Of A Bedroom Farmer

I have a question for you about the French Macaron. What did yours smell like? Mines like Vics Vapour Rub. Its really loud lol.
Hope you're well also bud
:passitleft:
Ha it’s loud alright! The Vics/menthol is definitely part of the flavour profile. I’ve two phenos, one in my opinion has a blackberry background and the other is sweeter and not fruity at all. Both very similar taste but different and I couldn’t choose which one I prefer. Lovely gear.

That's good to hear. Its a really nice little plant and has impressive side growth. Looks like a good contender for a mother plant.
I'm not used to seeing that much clothing on your plants. They look great with or without... just sayin'.
Lol. I know what you mean. I can go and get the snips if you like :)

Here is the ant who I mentioned was being a sex pest over on @Heavenly Hybrid's thread yesterday....

Hey 420. We had a little incident earlier involving some tiny yet destructive feet and my outdoor plants. I was watering the 2 fems outdoors when I left them unattended for a few moments. My daughter ran outside and kicked both of the pots across the drive by mistake lol. Kids eh. I potted them back up this time using compost I found at the top of the garden. It doesnt look like much damage was done though it did give me a chance to have a look at the roots. The roots on the White Widow were as expected. Pretty weak and didn't even come close to filling the pot. Surprisingly the Blueberry Cookies weren't much better. They were white and healthy, just not very abundant for the age of the plant. I think my medium probably has poor aeration which would explain why all 3 outdoor plants are slow and small. I gave them another watering with my stinky homemade nutrients after I re-potted them. The thing is that they look very healthy and there isn't a splotch on them. They're just really slow. It looks like we will end up with another entrant for the Spog squad if the auto Purple Gorilla doesnt pick up the pace a little. There's no sign of flowering yet so maybe it won't be too bad. It is advertised as being small though so I wasn't expecting much to begin with especially with it being in a small pot as well. Anyway, here's how things are looking today. I'll be back with the auto's age shortly as I have forgotten. Doh!....

The auto is 17 days old today. I thought it was a little older than that lol. Since having all this time off my head is all over the place. Without looking I dont actually know what day it is lol
:passitleft:
I started using a Julian Calendar app. LoL

It helps me keep count on my days. Anytime something significant happens, plant/flip/top... ect, I add it on the calendar as an "appointment".

I can go back at anytime to quickly reference

That's a good idea. I had a calendar a few years ago which I tried but it wasn't a very good one.
I'll check that one out.
Bag seed from a bit of skywalker.
Nice. The only experience I've had with Skywalker was with Reserva Privada's Skywalker Kush. Lovely tasting and very potent strain.
Hoped to be up and running indoors by now but the old pandemic put the kybosh on that.
I'm using the quiet time to see if I can grow anything outdoors. Ive never successfully grown any cannabis outside before. I tried a couple summers ago but Mrs Flora ran my hidden crop over with a lawn mower lol

A little to well hidden lol.

Yeah... I prefer the Julian because it counts 365 sequential days opposed to 30/31 day months.

Super easy to do some quick subtraction & get exact ages of plants.

I think that there may have been a little revenge in the motivation

That'd suit me perfectly. I'm terrible at being "exact" with almost everything lol.
Crushed eggshell, lava rock or copper collars will keep your plants safe from slugs.

Hey VG. Thanks. There are plenty of egg shells to go around. That's one thing we're not short of. I think something has had a nibble on the White Widow but its mainly been dry since I started these plants. Apparently we have a week of rain on the way though so I may have to be more vigilant.

That sounds like a familiar story with the little one knocking the plant over. Last summer my youngest was on a plant destruction mission no plant was safe lol. She went after Mrs. N's flowers either picking off every flower or pulling the plant right out of the pot if you weren't watching her every second , she even pulled a Amnesia Auto seedling out of her pot and dumped all the dirt out of the pot as well. Luckily I was able to find the the seedling and repotted it.

I have to look into this as well! I'm pretty bad at keeping track of how many days I have things vegging for or flowering this would help alot.

We have a similar situation. She's fine if you are there supervising but turn your back and goodbye flowers. Kids seem obsessed with digging lol. I've had to set up a special plant pot so she can dig whilst I try to get some gardening done.

Does that go for snails too? All of the sudden we have a dozen snails around the house!

If I find the culprit it'll be going in the fertilizer barrel.
