Prof's Lab: Diary Of A Bedroom Farmer

Thanks GG. I'm glad that it is all in the jars as it is so humid now. The good weather has just disappeared. The CL tastes amazing. Both are slightly different though. The first has a funky OG kick and the second has a more floral vibe. The Macaron is very nice as well but there were few in there which outshined it in my opinion.

Lol. Almost Mr S. Maybe next time. Thanks MrS

Good to see you again N. I have some updates to bring everyone up to date coming up today. Ive been on light duties this week on 420 but have been busy as hell at home.

Like I just said to N. Hopefully later I can post a few updates on how things are coming along. Its been a busy week in the garden and I've been having both internet issues and camera issues. I have managed to get some pics from throughout the week which I'll put up later. The 3 new seedlings are all looking good and need their feed strength raised. No damping off this time thankfully. The 3 revegging plants are fading and going very dark. They're under 24 hours of light and are being fed at veg strength. That's all I can do for them I guess. They're not dead yet so we're winning for now. Another thing to mention is that the brother in law came down for a visit as lockdown is easing. He just sat in the garden for a few hours. He enquired about some plants so I gave him the TB and CJ mother plants. He doesn't have much money and lost his seedling to mould so I felt for him. I will do an update on the flowering plants later.

Hope you've all been staying safe and looking after each other.

Glad the damping off is done with . Cooler , wet weather now for us just to fuck with humidity some more.lol. I have kept my line and still got the 3 original sensible girls in dark and drying where they finished. They are still very alive and well bud wise though but leaves are all dying off so not a lot else happening . They have now had 110+ hrs total dark . Keep up the great work mate. Catch you soon.

Hey 420. Here's what has been happening over at the Prof's.

The veg tent now only contains the re-vegging plants and the new strains....

I'm happy that these are in the clear and will start to water them properly from now on. I have been watering them a small amount each day and removing any run off but now I will start bottom feeding. The Miami Heat is on the left, Balkh is centre stage and Kholm is on the right....

The Barneys auto grow has been set up in the 2x4 Gorilla Lite tent and will be running on 300w of power instead of 200w like I previously said it would. The reason for this is because the mother in law would like me to aim for higher yield lol. The last 2 harvests have impressed me and personally I would like to try to push the low wattage grows to see just what is possible. The MIL doesnt see it that way and said that she isn't really overly concerned with the extra power usage. I also tried to explain the heat increase issue but she said to deal with that when it gets here lol. I compromised and increased the 2 tents by 100w instead of going with the suggested HPS lol. She still doesnt trust LED's for some reason.
The seeds have been planted straight into some flushed and pre-charged coco. I'm going for 8 plants and 2 of each strain. The strains are Gorilla Glue, Gorilla Zkittles, Dos Si Dos and Wedding Cake....

The current flowering plants have had the make-over and have been super-cropped. The Tropicanna Banana did exactly what I expected her to do and that was take over a good portion of the tent space. She is considerably taller than the rest so I have bent her down to meet them rather than raise the others. I'm trying not to raise any but the Fat Purple is a short plant. This is the first good attempt with her and I can confirm she has a short stretch and low profile. Before she grew short as well but also had a terrible start so I couldn't tell if that was how she was meant to look. Turns out that it is. She is now developing the colours that made her a great plant to grow. The Critical Jack didn't go as I predicted and isn't all that branchy. The growth seems kind of average and non eye catching, a little like the Hashplant D. The HPD looks great closer to the end of flower though. Here are some pics of the plants a few days ago before the trim and snapping. Look at the TB go....

Never a dull moment round here!
Congrats on the harvests and bean drops!
:yummy::cool:
Hey DD. How's Things?
The recent bean drops will hopefully lead onto more bean drops. I love a good bean drop
Those are some very happy looking plants, Prof!
I wonder why the MIL doesn't trust LED lights :hmmmm:
Did she ever grow?
She's just really old school. Distrusts sciency things which she doesn't understand. She's got right stuck into Facebook though.

Very nice and healthy plants, really like the pictures, great purple colours. Not surprised Prof.!
Thanks BudShark. I have plenty more pics on the way, some good some not so lol. I'm battling with the camera at the moment.

Hey 420. Got some nug pics from the harvest on the way but I had to delete so many as they were either out of focus or incredibly bright and some were even both. The camera is telling me that it is in focus even if it is not and I cant tell until I upload the pics onto a device with a larger screen. I'll do some more when I get the chance. Also there will be a the strain reviews on the way shortly.

Crumbled Lime #1....
The shorter of the 2 but also the tastier. The finished buds are quite frosty but not overly pretty....

Crumbled Lime #2....
The second Crumbled Lime has all the looks and is covered in frost. This one packs a punch but is pleasantly functional is a great mood enhancer....

Hoe Down....
This is one is my favourite from the grow despite her having the lowest yield. The flowers are so pretty and I'm having a hard time capturing it with the camera. It is also the best tasting strain and possibly the most potent and debilitating.....

StarCake....
Overall I really liked this one. A potentially high yielding strain with quality flowers and lashings of oil. This one actually toppled at the end but she was wedged in there good....

Phantom Cookies Domina....
Monster plant which out-yielded the rest and was still growing. I pulled this one early and I think she could have gone another 2 weeks. Time is money as they say so I pulled her down. Her flowers are ok and actually taste pretty good. They have a stoning effect which I'd say is of a medium to high strength....

French Macaron....
Another one I could have done better with. There were a lot of flowers which just didn't receive enough light. She turned out pretty good though and is a tasty and relaxing med....

Double D's....

This stuff is so ugly that I can't even get a good pic of it. The plant is quite good looking but the dried flowers are just messy. There is a marvellous twist with this one though. Evil stuff. The smell is overpowering burnt rubber and the taste that but with added onion lol. it is also very potent and I find myself becoming pretty useless after smoking it. I feel absolutely great though!....

Time for a bit of a photo drop with some of the better pics. I'm still not happy though. It didn't help that the nice weather went away as soon as the harvest was dry either. I have managed to get a few pics outdoors but it has been gloomy....

Lol. Thank you TraLa. I'm proud like a father raising little green, (and sometimes purple) nice smelling babies.

That’s meant to say schmick!

Ducking auto correct!

Time for a look in the veg tent....

The re-vegging plants are still alive. I know this because they are still drinking. What I dont know is if this will work or not. I think that I may have removed too much from the plants but it is not over yet. I have revegged a plant by mistake once before. I left a stump outside after a harvest and a month or so later it had load of new shoots appearing all over it. That plant was literally just a stump as I wouldn't have left any leaves on it after a harvest....
DSC02463.JPG

They still have some flowers....
DSC02466.JPG
DSC02467.JPG

They also have algae forming on the coco. I have used H2O2 but it still keeps coming back....
