ProfessorFlora Presents: The Flowering Inferno

Hey 420. Today I thought I could show you a little trick I learnt for when I'm cleaning my vaporizer. It doesn't sound overly impressive but just hold on a second.
Nice one, Prof’! Good oil on the good oil :high-five: i’ve been discarding that slug off the cotton bud, but I’ll try your method next time. Cheers.
The dynavap uses such a vanishingly small amount of material I’d be surprised if you were recovering this condensate out of need. I dare say it vapes better than normal pipe scrapings smoke.

I’ve noticed the condenser get quite gunky when I use the dynacoil for rosin. Here’s a hack back for you. Pack a little flower in, then drag a grain of rice sized piece of rosin through your kief tray or your ground flower. This helps it to be less sticky for manipulating it into the dynavap without touching it. Then a bit more flower behind that.
Also on the fiddlyness - I found it was a real knack to get it spinning with one hand while keeping a constant flame on it. It’s good now, but it took some development. I was going to recommend for anyone keen that you can get an induction heater for it. This makes it much more accessible especially for other folk with hooves or just too many thumbs.
I’ve been rocking some OG Kush rosin in mine tonight along with some of its flower.
:love::rollit:

I used to discard the oil in the condenser but since finding out this little trick I now treat it as a, well, little treat before I give it a proper clean. I think that if it was any kind of hassle to do then I wouldn't bother but as it's really simple and literally takes under a minute to perform I quite look forward to it.
I'd say that it is better than your average scrapings and is another little perk for this device.

Cheers DD. I was meaning to ask you how concentrates work in it. I actually do something very similar for using the bubble hash and thought that I'd skip on the coil for now. Bubble hash vapes really well and takes a while to get going which is what I like. How long would you say a rosin session lasts? I've been thinking about rosin more and more recently.

I also saw a spinning stem which is made by another company which looks pretty cool. The idea being that you simply flick the tip and it spins long enough for you to heat it up. It looks pretty cool but I think the induction heater is probably a better option.
I’ve been rocking some OG Kush rosin in mine tonight along with some of its flower.
I've gone with some Rainbow Cake which tastes like rose water or Turkish delight on the first hit. No hash yet though as I've still got stuff to get done.

You’ll get five or six decent hits off of each reload with a coil. The temptation is to put larger and larger pieces in, but less is more. It is easy to clog it with some of that first class condensate you’re getting there.
A small amount - like a grain of rice - with the coil is the best way to get to the true flavour of a flower. Everything good about a good slow dry and a bit of a cure is exaggerated in the rosin. Then vaped. OMG.
I want you to get squishing and get a coil Prof because you already do some of the best smoke reports up here. This will spin your head around. I think you’d like it. I know your readership will ;)
On a day to day basis though, mixing rosin with flower in the chamber is just less fuss and bother.

I know one cool cat among your readers (hey @syenite :ciao: how are you man?) who has two tips for his dynavap. One designated for the coil and one for flower. That’s vaping like a boss

That sounds great. The flavours you get from these are incredible and I think that they can be improved upon even more. Have you any experience with any of the other accessories? One thing I found is that sometimes the hits can be really hot so I was looking at perhaps getting a glass stem or maybe something else.
It's just occurred to me that I've never asked you what model you have. I have the 2021 M which like all the M's is the hottest device. I've not had the pleasure of trying an Omni which I've read isn't so hot.
Then there is the low temp cap. Would that help with the temp of the hits entering your lungs? Or is it just to keep the flavour for longer and to make your herb go even further?
I could go on all day about the accessories lol.

I saw that sy was a TED user. How is he? I saw that he had to pack up shop pretty sharpish. Hope he's ok.

I hear lava rock works too.
It's a shame that there are no volcanoes in the UK then!
Isn't that the candy of the White Witch?? Stupid greedy Edward!
Betrayed over some yucky tasting candy!
Highya btw:ciao:
We've done this backwards!

Hey VG! How are you m'dear?

Hey 420! It's a bit of a rushed one for now lol. It's chaos around here!

The plants kept growing lol....

It's a sweaty room now....

So that was last week when we only had 2 flower tents. More time has past since then.

Continued....

So we had a little issue in that the GSC plants recovered a bit faster than I thought they were going to so we had to have a drastic move around. I wouldn't have bothered but it's for the sponsors grow and I was gifted the plants, tent and light to showcase. The problem is that the tent and the light are being used so the plants in the mar tent needed to be moved in to the small Gorilla tent. We did it!....

They got a good trim as the humidity is pretty much 99% again. It's this time of year which always gets me and I have more flowering than ever before lol.

Birthday Cake....

Double D's....

Silver Bubble....

I've actually had another trim since these pics and will show you all shortly....

I didn't think that it'd fit but it's almost perfect. The plants have had a serious downgrade in terms of lighting power. They've gone from basking under the 300w Mars unit to chilling under a 100w unit....

And here are the GSC back in the Mars tent after their trip to the infirmary....

Continued....

Ok, back to the first tent. Well, some growing happend and I raised the lights some more. Then that happend again and now I can't raise my lights any higher lol. The Barney's Wedding Cake has stopped stretching at a sensible yet impressive height. The Orangesicle on the other hand is still going and is more than 120cm now. If you include the pot then it is almost as tall as me. It has received some burnt tops as everyday it'd grow into the lights but she is doing pretty well. There is a new problem now though and that is stability. The Wedding Cake is solid and even though I'm not going to risk it, I think I could remove her from the tent without causing any damage. Orangesicle will collapse under her own weight any minute lol....

So this is as high as my lights will go....

Next I'm going to attempt to trim them up and somehow get them staked. I wish I had done that as we went lol.
Back after I've finished blunting my scissors.
Happy growing everyone.

Hey Ho, Hey Ho, it's the most wonderful time of the year when all the plants are showing their pretty flowers. Welcome back, Prof! Looking forward to seeing what this year's flowers end up looking like.

That felt very festive.
Welcome back, Prof! Looking forward to seeing what this year's flowers end up looking like.
Hey HG. Me too. If all goes well then we have the current plants which are the Wedding Cake, Birthday Cake, Orangesicle, Double D's, Lemon Bubble and the two Girl Scout Cookies. Then after those we have time for some Acapolco Gold, Purple Urkle, some more Girl Scout Cookies and possibly another plant just to finish the year off.
I'm doing alright.
How's your fam doing?
We're ok. We might be moving to a new place in the new year which is not far from where we are now. I'm not sure what that means for growing but things will definitely be different.
We need the space and it's a bit crap for the kids out here.
That's quite the crammed tent Prof.
Not any more!....

It's still a floppy nightmare and an accident waiting to happen though.

Well that's a trim that was waiting to happen... :bravo:

Everything is looking healthy and green and good work on moving it all into place. Cooee, Mr Shifter!
I couldn't remember who Mr Shifter was there for a second lol. I seem to remember that they would do re-runs of those ads as they were so popular. They remind me of watching Heartbeat. Oh god.
