PK Perpetual Grow Journal 2020

Your temp and RH sound just like mine, to mcgyver the humidifier theoretically if you tube the humidifiers tank to another equally sized "control bucket" then have the same float valve people use in the rdwc systems but hooked up to a water line off a tap or something

5gallon bucket, gravity and a float valve to adjust the speed of filling. hmmmm, sounds easy!

The tip burn is not ideal but look strong enough to overcome it...

So the tip burn happend few days a go. I have 1/4 of mc in my spray bottle and with mc if you let it sit then all the nutrient just sit at the bottom. I forgot to shake the bottle before use so all the nutrient was sprayed into the soil.
To be honest, i didn't give it water or flush it or anything. I just wrote a note on the bottle to shake the freakign thing and spray in a sink before use. still feeding them 1/4 of MC

exactly and make sure that the fill line on the humidifier is level with float valve to accomplish no overfilling but constant filled

i rather fill the 5gallon bucket vs the res of humidifyer. every hour vs every day lol

looking at 2 of the photo's, some of it is bad with small growth just emerging on the plant stalk getting tip burn.. New node's scorched as well.. With tip burn sometimes it shows up worse over a period of 3 days.. That's why I said ride it out and see what it looks like in 4-5 days.
From what I have read clones, even though they've been taken from adult plants (5 segment leaf or larger) , respond as seedlings and therefore should go real easy on the nutes treating them like their babies for a while.. Don't push the same adult strength nutes on them.

here is a quick update on the clones. I think it has been about 3 weeks from cloning day.
They are deffinitly back in veggative stage and are growing new leaves.
no nutri just tap water. Temp 80f 26c rh at 62% thanks to the humidifyer.

Thanks penny. they are coming along nicly.
i love the fact that it took few weeks for them to recope instead of waiting the time to seedling stage.

One thing i like to do for their final pot is to mix promix hp with coco. I've noticed that the soil does hold allot of water. I could also mix more perlite to it, but wanted to try coco.
Any thoughts?

Two out of three has started to grow new leaves. also, i was able to get the temps down with new configuration. fans and shades to the rescue. Currently temp at 27c what is that 80-81ferenhite and at 60% RH

it be awesome to MacGyver away so that i don't have to constantly fill up the humidifyer. :hmmmm:

Looking good...wheres that master clone maker badge tab? Can't ask for anything better.

Coco is pretty labor intensive with the daily watering but killer growth in size and speed. Promix was easier for me. Treat it as you would a soil grow for water needs. It will dry out faster than soils and is great for roots. I used to just put my plants in a catch tray and bottom feed them as needed. Let them soak a while and then drain off any excess with a turkey baster. Growth speed and size closely compare to coco. Maybe one step down from Killer. That's my two cents

Coco drains fast, that’s why we water it daily.

exactly, I thought a 70PM and 30 coco would give me a base of not too wet but moist everytime. The benefits of the growth is also what i am after

Thats kind of you my friend!!

ya, i still need to get few stuff. something to uplift the pots for better air movment under the pot as well as catch trays.
stores are having tough time getting their orders.

Coco there’s no buffering, you adjust your ph when you feed.
ya, this was another question that was running in my head which I thought with the soil not needing to ph would automaticly get the coco ph fixed.

from the sounds of it, it seems to be a problmatic mixture

So, I've not updated the main plant in a while cuz the last conversation ont his was the amount of MC i was giving it.
I think i said 6.5 tbs last time which brought massive amount of burns. Although i am against flushingto a certain extend, i did go ahead and flushed the soil with in period of 6 hours and the finial watering had a mixture of 4.5grams of mc which my ppm reader said was at 650ppm

i've been giving that mixture for the last few days but i can't seem to put my fingure on what the issue is.

current temp 81 RH45%

This one is also mind blowing as i can't figure when this happend?
High/Low temp 92/61
High/Low RH 86%/25%

I have also done a slurry mix of the soil and checked the readings the next day.
ph 6.5
ppm 250

update:
i forgot to mention that the slurry test was done after the flushing before giving mc mixture the first time

Cut the dose of MC in half or go back to a gram measuring spoon.. I have the feeling that your dosing measurment is messed up.. Clones and smaller plants cant take an adult dose right off the bat, you need to work up to it.. There is also a MC plant color chart to trouble shoot from if your getting a lime-yellow thats no good.. Nutes can build up in the soil causing long lasting issues.. Sometimes it's better to flush them with water for a whole week or more and then look to see if they are bouncing back, paying attention to plant color then slowly bring them back on MC starting @ 3 grams per gall, raising it up each week.. Stay between 4-5GPG to be on the safe side.. youll get awesome results keeping the dose a little lower vs the other side of the spectrum giving them too much..
