Pigeons420 Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

Wow thanks man!

But please, you know we don't come here to compare who's got it and who doesn't. We're all doing OUR thing.

Thanks for the love my man. You, do got it!!
Hey Pidge, it wasn't a comparison per se, I was trying to say that I'm struggling to keep up with what Iv'e got goin on. I have trouble trying to focus that's all, thank's mate.

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

Well, Chenzi, don't let me fool you in thinking I've got my shit together. Don't think that I come down here every
Morning riding sunshine and rainbows into the grow room.

Running a perpetual garden is very complicated. More so than growing cannabis alone. There's so much work that goes in to ensure that there is always something at every stage of the process. It's not easy. I often come down here scrambled and worried that I'll open my door and lost everything. Maybe that's a common feeling. But, we're in this together and I know we can get us rockin!!

Have a good day Chenzi!!

Ok Pidge, If i gift away the Jack that will leave me with 2 Widows and a Trainwreck, plus the 2 AK47's, sex unknown, which I plan to veg a little longer. When should I be ok to pop some more beans ? I have some Critical Kush x Afghan seeds and I'm keen to get em going . :helpsmilie:

I decided it was time for some topping and F.I.Ming. 2 of the girls were ready. They had approached there 4th node and I didn't want to hold back because I need to get this show on the road. So, let's start this update with a short little how-to on topping and F.I.Ming.

What a kind person you are -- this tutorial is really useful. So clearly explained. I can't wait to grow something other than autos so I can try out this cool stuff :)

And congrats on your son and his bike riding. That's a real milestone :)

I want to get in on this!

Welcome Jojo! It's a pleasure to have you wondering the pathways of my garden :) please, make yourself comfortable. I tell folks that I've got some of the best people here and I truly believe it.

Well Chenzi, I think it comes down to a couple questions. How much herb does it take to keep you confortably medicated? Ounces a month? I then take a ball park figure of how many ounces I can get from a plant. My average is about 3-4 ounces per plant. I smoke about 3 ounces a month. So that's a plant a month for herb. Now, of course, you can get way more out of a plant. I just haven't figured it out yet. So, that's 12 plants a year. Now of course that would be bare minimum and not including crazy weekends, friends staying over and smoking all your herb and edibles. Haha
I like to keep 2 or three in the flower room at any one time. While keeping 4-6 in veg to come out at different times. As two or three move to the flower room I plant 2 or 3 more in in the veg room.

So, to answer your question. Judging by the girls you have now, if they're all in veg I would start planting now in anticipation of a couple moving to flower.

***DISCLAIMER***

My perpetual garden has only been running since about Feburary and I'm still trying to work out my own equations and numbers. I have a long way to go in this game yet.

Thanks for such an awesome question though! Hope I didn't get to blasted before I answered it. :)

Thanks so much Glimmerglass! My confidence has increased remarkably because of this website and I feel that, more then ever, I can give back... Even if it's just a little bit.

Thanks for poppin in. Joint?

Thanks for your input Pidge, I was thinking I'd wait 2 more weeks for those already in flower then flip what is now in veg room, with the exception of the AK's.They will go under a 180 watt ufo (led?) in a smaller veg cabinet I was gonna plant some more beans when I flip the present veg room. That would give me 2 x 600's for flower and the led for veg.
Yes I have some hungry friends, and I have a friend who will be sharing some rso with me so, whilst it may seem like a lot it won't be , also need to factor in a f up or two by me, ha ha:high-five::thanks:

Thanks Oiler!!

People used to always say "enjoy it because time flies by". That's a sentence you can't truly appreciate until you have children and literally watch time fly by. It's a precious life and we all need to enjoy it a little more.

Thanks for making me smile, Oiler!

***THURSDAY UPDATE***

Hi everyone! Such a beautiful day outside in my neck of the woods. I hope everyone's day is filled with joy and happiness. The temperatures are getting cold. Fall is just around the corner. It's time to take down the pool and all the backyard pieces. After the wedding we were so fortunate to come across some extra money that was gifted to us. We also got a patio set and other gifts. But once we added the patio set to our plain backyard, we quickly decided that we needed other things to make it complete. So this is the first year I've decided to beautify my yard. Front and back. So, now it's time to take it all down and put it away to ensure a clean and simple spring setup. So that'll be fun.

My little man is starting hockey at the end of the month for the first time and it's going to be a big milestone for him and us. He's been skating since he was a year and a bit. As soon as we was able to walk. We put skates on him. I strongly believe in physical activity and it just so turns out that hockey has turned into a passion of his. He's a Winnipeg Jets fan and I'm a Boston Bruins fan. So there's some healthy competition in the house. May I add, that he's only 4. Such a personality. Love him so much. I'm ready for the next adventure in our lives. And all the running around that hockey is known for around here will be part of that adventure. So, I look forward to it.

But anyways, let me head into the garden and show you guys around. I have a tendency of doing most of the talking. I alway apologize for talking people's ear off but they always tell me it's ok. "Their listening". So, I have to judge whether I'm boring someone to death or actually entertaining them. Haha.

VEG ROOM

Top Dawg has been having some problems. I'm quick to assume that she hasn't responded well to the nutrient dosage. So, she is getting a full flush today and I'll feed her water until I see a change in her.

Super Haze has recovered from her overdose quite well. I will continue feeding water for another week and then begin feed schedule at half strength. Bit of a pain in the ass to feed one plant separately but I want the best for her.

Orka is just a little gem. I think she's perfect in every way. She's just about to get a topping. Probably happen tonight or tomorrow. What do you think of her?

Jack Herer still getting a push over to one side. I'm going to tie her down eventually but I've gotta find the gardening wire. But she's looking great and at her top she is rebounding beautifully with no signs of stress.

8 Ball Kush she has been F.I.M and she looks great. Like I said I've never done this before so, I'm not entirely sure what to expect from her but she's looking very healthy with signs of no stress.

Jackelope still plugging along. Quite short and small compared to the other girls. But they're doing their thing. I will let them be.
The REVEG still not doing to much. Maybe it's fair to say that she may not do anything. But she is still green so I will let her go for a little longer.

Well, as always I appreciate each of you and thank you for taking my hand and strolling through the pathways of my garden

That's why I'm a fan! Original team and one of the greats! Nice to see you Nivek!

Nice work Pidge, it looks to me like they will recover, not sure about the re-veg...?:thumb:

Thanks Chenzi! I'm sure they'll be fine. Just gotta get all the old stuff out and try and start over with the dosages. I could have caught this earlier but because I was ignorant to the problem it only got worse.

The REVEG isn't looking to hot. I don't know what to make of her. But I'll give her a couple more weeks.

Cheers, Holmes!
