Phantom’s RDWC Cherry Cookies Grow Journal

I use the big square Tupperware containers with the locking sides and seals to help with large quantities on curing. My big ones will hold every bit of 4oz or more. I actually havnt measured how much they hold. For my single plant 1+ pounders I def take advantage of the big containers. I would have to jar 25+ regular jars if not lol.

Good to know, I was just reading into curing using buckets.

Last night before bed I watered the girls again, 2 cups each over the hydroton. Noticed that the top of the pump in the reservoir was starting to stick out of the water a bit. I mixed up a 5 gallon pail of MC (2gr/gal), pH down quick to 5.6ish (Rez was at 5.9), and dumped it in. In hindsight I was probably only down a gallon overall mostly do to evaporation I would suspect.

This morning when I checked all but one plant was droopy (biggest one still needs to perk up). Gave them all another 2 cups of water and called it good for the day.

I think this weekend everyone, myself included, will get haircuts. After looking at some of the lower branches I’ll be taking off, along with the two tops, I may end up material for a dozen or so clones to attempt making feminized seeds with.

I gave mine a haircut a few days ago and they're looking great. I haven't had a haircut in almost 3 months due to COVID and usually get one every 3 weeks to keep it really short and faded on the sides. It's completely out of control but I have an appointment for Saturday morning, my poor barber is gonna need a chainsaw :goodluck:

I'm going to have to check out that channel you mentioned. Quick comment regarding the curing discussion - I decided since there are a few plants growing outdoors and my tent going perpetual I would do a little more digging into the 5 gallon bucket option for curing.

I'm ordering Gamma 2 sealing lids and turkey bags. Dried bud goes into the bag and then the bucket. Burp same as you would for jars.

Edit: having trouble finding a lid with reviews that leave me confident but the search continues
I really like the bucket ziplock combo.. think it's a winner ..

I think I need to go to a meeting, caught myself starting at my seeds when I went to grab some beef for dinner. The guy on my shoulder telling me it wouldn’t be insane to plant just one seed of each strain, it’s only 10. He then went on to explain to me that if I kept them in soil just vegging out as mother plants it wouldn’t be so bad. Haha

I need help, that all to familiar grower’s itch has taken over me. Good thing my co-worker called, I’m headed over to her place to watch planes drop retardant on the wildfire in her backyard and help her evacuate if things go sideways. It at least gets me and my itchy seed planting fingers out of the house and away from my seed stash.

I’ve been watching it from my house since Friday night when a thunderstorm rolled through, sparking it. Now it’s gone over a few ridges and the other side of the mountain where all the city folks are. She’s within a mile of the foothills and they’ve begun evacuating people 1/2 mile from her.

Believe me if I‘m pretty sure you’ll end up seeing photos of seeds sitting in water within a few days. The itch is getting unbearable, the seeds just sit there staring at you wanting to be planted, who am I to deny their destiny?

Have you ever tried revegging before? I mean there isn’t much to lose besides time and tent space if it doesn’t work out.

Once the family comes and visits I should be good on visitors for a year, as long as I go back for the holidays, in which case I have a feeling things are going to get wild here with strain variety and the autos I should be getting soon from Seedsman. I have a 8’x20’ sun room that’s perfect for plants when it’s not summer. I think I’ll end up building some shelves with fluorescent lighting to put the mother’s and my cloner on/under.

I think I did one time a long time ago but my memory is so bad I honestly don't know. I think I'm listening to the other voice and starting a few different strains after the JH inclusing CBD. So many beans so little time and hopefully, I can always just order more

I did find something good to occupy me at least. These pilots are some ballsy people.

Also meant to comment on drying, bud washing, and curing. I have bud washed the past 3 years of grows. I really like bud washing. I use 3 - 5gal buckets. 1 bucket with warm (not hot) with lemon juice and baking soda, one bucket with plain warm water, and last bucket is cool water. It helps so much with drying them slower. You lose absolutely no trichomes and it does not hurt them. They look and smell better after the wash. You just dunk them up and down slowly and not to harsh between all 3 buckets. If you have never done it, do some of your colas once you harvest and try it out.

Hang them in my dark room, RH of 50-60% 5+ days. No fan on them, and VERY low air exchange depending on RH. As long as you keep it at the right RH. Just make sure you are replacing the air in your tent/room. Just at a very slow rate so it doesn't get stagnant or high RH.

Also I cut all big fan leaves with no sugar off before the bud wash. Then hang the whole colas on your drying rack. Check them daily. Some people dry way to fast. And i understand as people dont want mold but as long as you stick to these rules ive never had mold problems. I have dried way to fast when Ive had to much air exchange in the tent I had. They were crisp in 3 days. You def dont want that.

Here is how I hang mine after bud wash. These have been bud washed:

After the bud wash you can see there is nothing hurt:

I’ll definitely be washing a few buds just to give it a shot.

Checked on the ladies when I got back, not really that droopy but they could definitely be more perky. I’ll water them again before bed. I also took the liberty of getting an ok photo of each plant.

Hahaha I just had to check ppm and pH in my tent, Alrdy had a few drinks and smoked a big bowl. Was a little "lost" checking it =)

Yea they were touching/almost touching on a few in your last update. They should be perking up any time now. Remind me, are you putting any beneficiary bacteria in your water mix?

Anyone going to post a photo for the Mars giveaway?

Sounds like all you have to do is post a photo to win and they aren’t picking based on the photo, sounds like they are just taking your post number and adding to a random number generator to pick the winner. Anyone can enter as well.
