Peyton's Sour Sky Hempy Grow 2014

Damn. You guys make me feel like a kid. ten cent gallons of gas and nickel candy bars... And 3 bucks an hour pay... I'm sure you guys have a lot of good stories to tell. I know my dad does when he talks about those days

Glad to have ya here! Not much going on today, but we talk about anything and everything lol. I'll be putting up some pics tomorrow. Gonna start building new grow space too, so might put pics of that up Friday night or Saturday.

Sorry PaytonManning, Minimum wage when I worked when was a kid was a buck an hour. Yea TrysHard a lid was $10 and an oz was 15-20 bucks. I got my cigarette habit for 15 cents a pack. But gas was 34.9 a gallon. I pay about $800 a month for medical insurance and prescriptions now. Good thing I quit smoking cigs...

I'm almost 40 years old. I live in Canada and I've always wondered wtf a lid was lol we don't use terms like eighth or quarter where I'm at. We always said "I want a 5 bag" for small increments. Or a p or a half p if talking pounds.

Sorry just always wondered lol

Yeah I'm early to mid thirties, and some of those terms were confusing to me. Funny when you hear measurements like 3 fingers lol. When I was young it was nickels and dimes. Quarters and halves after army. Soon to be free of buying!

" I remember when a dime bag cost a dime". Lol

Lids were basically your first dime bags. Its just that dime bags hadn't been invented yet. It was what you got for $10. That is why when you told someone that you just bought a lid, they asked you how many fingers? They already knew it cost $10. At least in my crowd that was the way it was.

Wild Jim, I'll be 61 soon so I know where your coming from. My first job at Micky D's was $1.15 hour. Best thing I ever did was quit smoking cigarettes not only for the health, but they are almost as expensive as pot now.

Thanks for the enlightenment on lids lol pretty confusing lingo if ya ask me.

Canada where I'm at .... Smokes are 13$ to 17$ a pack. Pot is 8$ on the high end per gram. When I was 14-15 smokes were 4.25 a pack and pot was 15$ a gram lol

Priminister " yea were fuckin up"

Hey TrysHard June 1st I'll be 64. Used to have six brothers and sisters and a mom and dad. This year I became an orphan and an only child. I pray your sixties are better than mine.

We never called them a dime bag, just called them a bag. That was an ounce minus the 5 grams your buddy took for getting it for you.
I worked at ACME Markets for $1.10 an hour for my first job. In 1964 I bought a new Yamaha 55 for $245. Rode to school ninth thru beginning of 11 grade. Deputy got me once a week... no license. Just followed me home. Never told my parents! Imagine now. Never had a license til I was leaving for Nam. Drove my bike or mom's 64 Dodge Dart every day of high school. Boy was it hard raising my two sons after that.

We sometimes called them bags or got a Z. And most weed was called commercial. If it had a name we would pay $45 an ounce for it.
Yeah there's all that Nostalgic S#$t, but we didn't have computers, only 3 channels on TV(if you were lucky) and if you got caught with your Lid, you were very likely to get some serious time.

To be fair. I'm a lot younger and I didn't have computers and only 3 channels on the TV. They both existed we were just too poor lol

Prices of pot went down in my almost 40 years lol

I wonder what the CPI price for an ounce of columbian would be today? Can anyone convert a $45 ounce of columbian in 1972 $ to today $.

What cost $45 in 1972 would cost $247.25 in 2013.
Also, if you were to buy exactly the same products in 2013 and 1972,
they would cost you $45 and $8.05 respectively.

Only goes up to 2013 on the site I found. Lo!
That was FAST! You beat me to it! :goodjob: In Cali I can get a good ounce for less than that, so I guess pot has come down in price for me also. Wow that is interesting. In 1972 you could do a lot with $45. I was in the Navy, an E4 making $330 a month.
