Peyton's Sour Sky Hempy Grow 2014

Another snake oil Jim lol in my opinion. Again where in the wild would a pot plant be in total darkness. Or boiling water lol.

I'm not boiling water, but I'll do something that is simple like waste a day in the dark. I've waited this long. I do see your reasoning Stumped and probably will kick myself in the butt, but I'll do it anyway. Just for the shits of it. Where have I heard that before?

I guess just for the hell of it I'm going to unplug the Mars II after lights out tonight. I plan on cutting her down tomorrow.

Wife says we have to go to Colorado in July so I won't be starting a new grow till we get back. I have to look at calendar this afternoon and give her dates for the trip. End of June I think. RSO here I come. Recreational stores here I come.

Sucks we won't get to see you start a journal anytime soon. But that also gives you lots of time to read up and hone your skills. You are one lucky bastard getting to take that trip to the big CO. Make sure and smoke your brains off while there lol

I assure you I will. I want that RSO. Haven't seen my friends there for five years at least. It will be nice. I am going to drive. Well the wife will be driving.

I got the scales I use to weigh out my fertilizers for my tomatoes and greens outside. It is 1 gram sensitive. That should work.

Ah yeah good stuff bro. Save them scissor hash bits. Mmmm mmm the treat only the grower gets to enjoy. And its smokeable harvest day!

This one's for you Stumped...

Fast & Vast Auto Seeds

Sometimes a cannabis strain comes along which needs no introduction and with Fast and Vast weed seeds the name says it all. These little ladies are simply incredible. As autoflowering cannabis seeds, we knew they would be easy to grow, but this is ridiculous. Fast & Vast can grow outside, but it's when you are growing cannabis indoors that you get the best results. Just 8 weeks after germination, harvests of 800g/m2 are easily achievable, yet the quality of the final product will blow your mind.

The Indica dominance comes at you like a freight train, fast and heavy, and then stays with you for hours and hours. Long thick buds boast a deep coating of crystals that make you think Fast & Vast had been maturing for months. While those sweet, spicy flavors ensure all the combination of White Dwarf, Afghani and Skunk come shining through. (seed bank name removed by wildjim) call Fast & Vast an auto, but it's not like any other we've ever experienced. It is heavy, it is powerful, it is incredibly high yielding and it tastes like a dream. In fact it is so good, it really should have a category all of its own and for any true connoisseur it is simply too good to miss.

Hahah that is for me! I got exactly 1m2 to work with. If I can pull 800g with one plant. I'm set.
Probably best best if I do what your doing and make my own auto fem seeds.

Hmm this might be a game changer. Thanks!

I'm not sure if one plant can do that, but I figure with autos you can squeeze 3 or 4 in a square meter. How big is a square meter anyways?

Lol I'm getting email updates from older posts lol.

Jim I'm not saying putting the plants in darkness or boiling will hurt the plants. Many people do it. But I don't see how 20 min of boiling or 24 hours of dark, such miniscule time in comparison to the grow cycle to cause any significant effects.

Each to his own, try it and get something to compare it to. I've done tons with this one strain, boiling, darkness before going into flower, and end of flower, molasses, music, pop bottle co2 generators and probably more I just can't think. And only thing of all I listed that made a lick of difference was molasses lol and all that does I find is help armoa and flavor slightly.

I'm wondering myself but it sounds promising. Even 450g would be cool. Square meeter and square yard same thing unless u wanna split hairs. Few inch in the difference. 3 feet

Again sorry if I offended anyone with my OPINION on boiling .

Feel like I been offending people lately lol

Not at all. I'll play devil's advocate for the sake of discussion. The earlier argument that varying methods do not appear in nature misses the point. The point is to manipulate nature for your advantage. Scrogging, super cropping, extended light schedules, temperature control, colloidal silver, backbuilding, and many of the other things people do to try to get the most from their plant could fall into the un-nature-al category.

I too am not sure how killing the root system with scalding water differs from simply chopping the plant down at it's base. Kudos for giving it a shot! The nice thing is you're not out much other than a little time and a [big] mess :) Maybe it's a hormone deal or some kind of stress, like the 24-72hrs of dark theory, that makes an impact.

I dunno. I feel like I'm rambling. I guess my point is that being new on the scene myself I'm wary of discrediting odd theories too quickly based on their lack of appearance in nature. Then again, you did try it.

I'm going to go make a sandwich.

I agree with you on that Obi-wan. Some unnatural things can help, some are placebo effect. I know I'll try a couple things here and there that are weird, but it's up to each person to see how weird they wanna get with it. I know people go against defoliation, but I still did a lot of it heavily in first grow, and some swear by lollipopping but I never did it. So I'll try to boil roots and extended darkness. May not help, but I don't see it hurting either lol. I like to make mistakes for myself. If not I never would have learned to not press on scrog screen. Gotta split a few stems sometimes lol. But to each their own.

Right on man. And hell no your not rambling lol read back a few pages, lots of it by me alone Hahahahah.
I should start saying from my expirerence with stuff I'm talking about.

Because I love hearing people with opposite expierence, makes me wanna rethink what I possabably did wrong. I love boosters and tricks, cheats even. But I simply don't think they exist.

Cheers bro.

Yeah, it's hard for me to guess. I have my heart set on 2 ounces, minimum. But I'm afraid to say anything more cause I figure I'll be ridiculed. Well, that, and I honestly have no idea what would be an appropriate answer lol. I'm hoping the buds fatten up so they don't shrink down so tiny. But that's why I throw out 2oz as my number. seems reasonable, keeps my head out of the clouds.

Very reasonable goal. If it don't happen oh well.
I had 12 plants.. Ended with 1.... 12 grams for 3 months of work. That's embarssing ha!

Yeah if it don't happen I won't get hurt. I figured if I don't get it, I'd blame all my problems on being a noob. But that's out the way now, and my hgk is ready for some flux action. Time to step up my yield! Longer veg and flux training should help. I'm getting excited on all different levels now!
