Peyton's Sour Sky Hempy Grow 2014

I see colloidal silver on Amazon for 20 bucks. 500ppm and 240ppm. Not sure how many ppm it is if you make it at home. Might pick some up, just in case me and cloning don't work. I'd love to clone, but don't mind starting from seed, especially if I have a hundred seeds lol

I got bubble bags and all that shit, didn't care for 3 types of hash. 1 being junk, 1 being good and one being OK. I decided to try this method for the full melt in one.

Here's how I make it.

Material's needed.
2 buckets 5 gallons, or if doing more then one batch get a big flat bottom garbage can.
Biggest glass maison jar u can find. Or multiple jars works fine too.
Large pyrex pie plate or a large dinner plate. Glass is easiest just make sure its not painted there will be scraping involved.
1/4 inch air line tubing
Silk screening, I use a food strainer that has a fabric strainer, works the same.
A drill with a paint mixing bit, or a food mixer. I've used both same results, but I killed 2 hand mixers in the process of making a half pound of hash lol


Step 1. Fill the first bucket about 1/3 with ice, then fill to 3/4 with cold water. And add a good 2 big hand fulls of trim. I got technical with the process and weighed what I was putting in each bucket or run. Was a half pound wet trim.

Step 2. Now you got everything in the bucket, now mix it for 25 min, lol why 25 min I dunno. Number works for me.
After 5 min it will foam up, this is good. If it don't foam add more ice.

Step 3. Strain it through the silkscreen. No easy way about it, fuckin messy lol squeeze the shit out of the wet trim and get all that foam out, it contains the trichs. Now you got a bucket of brownish green water without hardly any plant matter in it.

Step 4. Put the bucket in a place about waist high, and a place where it won't get bumped or moved. Its critical to keep it still as possible. Let it sit for 3-6 hours, or once you see the water clear up usually no less then 3 hours.

Step 5 get the price of 1/4inch tubing and siphon the water out of the bucket till about 1 inch from the bottom of the bucket. Be gentle and not to disturb the sediment on the bottom, that's the hash!
Swish the bucket around and pour it into the glass jars.

Step 6. Let the jars settle for another hour, then siphon off as much water as u can without disturbing the bottom. Now pour the strange looking shit onto the pie plate and let the water evaporate. A fan on it in a warm area will dry it out in 2 days roughly.

Step 7 scrape the shit off the plate, and press it with your hands, or twist the corner of a bag. If its too hard warm it up and it will become plyable and easily moldable.

If I had a choice hash or oil I'd pick hash every time, unless I need rso for cancer or something, then its a different ball game. I'm talking strictly recreational.
I'd imagine the hash extracted would be close to rso, if using high cbd strain, cbd is in the trichs isn't it? And cleaner, easier and less dangerous.

Yes you should, I stole your siphon idea to deal with the left over water to get the last bit and I was able to recover another couple grams which were good for edibles. So I use my bags with two buckets pouring back and forth, but I knew there were broken trichomes in the left over water.

Your plant looks great, you know the cure is going to be just as painful.
 
Must drive you nuts to be in lights out for a day. I figure I'll do a 24 hour lights out before the cut. Trying to piece together a harvest/cure from different people's methods. Or I'll just bug you tryshard, and copy your style verbatim

Check out link to Toker69's journal. He used thE bay bought SC I think. BigIrishDoode made his own CS I don't have a link to his journal. Just look it up I guess.

Not sure I have a style yet! LOL but thanks for the complement. I think the best thing is to read as much as possible (which you do) and ask questions when you don't understand (which you do), but primarily you should not try to copy anyone verbatim. Find your own comfort zone in how you like to do things. Keep up on new developments like DC's water boiling method, and fold them into your style. There are so many ways to grow this plant, the Capn, LA, and KJC all do it differently to a degree and all are successful. Me, I haven't even harvested my first crop, I have a long ways to successful. I have to do this many more times to make that claim. I'm not as humble as I sound, I'm just doing a little Ass Kissing. JK

Drying curing is the sketchiest subject. I've tried 20 different methods so far. 15 of them with same results 4 with horrible and one decent. Lol
Fast but not too fast. If its gotta hang for more then 5 days the room is too humid. And It had a green taste
Drying in 3 days its too quick and don't quite taste right, but not green
4 days hang if the outside is crispy and the stems are not quite snapable. Few days pot smells and taste nice.

Lol ive yet to cure properly. So I dunno there hahah

Oh stop it. You did fucking amazing for your first grow. Anyone who won't admit that is jealous lol I think the key to it all is in the detail. You took outstanding care of your plants start to finish... And it shows.
Both of you guys did amazing first time lol better then I bet 80% of the people on this site did there first go, willing to admit it or not hahahha.

I heard it years ago, I tried it one crop few months ago. Made no difference lol just a big fucking mess.

People who come up with these crazy ideas need to study botany abit more, I only know a bit and I know it makes no damn sense. Where would a pot plant come in contact with boiling water in the wild lol

Didn't hurt my plants when I did it, just a waste of time and abig fuckin mess lol

I wannan do some reading on this DC guys boiling method, maybe there is some proof in the pudding.

Well once this first one is in the bag, I'll feel better.
 
I guess just for the hell of it I'm going to unplug the Mars II after lights out tonight. I plan on cutting her down tomorrow.

Wife says we have to go to Colorado in July so I won't be starting a new grow till we get back. I have to look at calendar this afternoon and give her dates for the trip. End of June I think. RSO here I come. Recreational stores here I come.
