Yea I'm sure the seed will still produce good bud. When I buy cheap shit here its just because then grower fucked it up lol

I looked at fast and vast along with auto pounder. Guess if I'm gonna do an auto I should pick a better strain , so I don't give myself a bad impression of autos.

Hello to all. Had a tough day yesterday and it took me until now to read all the posts. Busy day yesterday, eh. This eh is for you Stumped. Don't stop doing your journal bud. We like to see that.
I want to start my next grow/journal but I want to go to Colorado too. If I start now I will have to wait until August for Colorado. I will be growing NLxBB auto and a Pineapple Slick Non-auto from Original Sensible Seeds. The pineapple takes about 60 days of flowering and the Northern Light x Big Bud auto takes 50 - 55 days. Doing a hempy means that I have to be there and can't leave for two weeks to go to Colorado. What a dilemma.

You could make an auto feeding system with a timer and a water pump. Wouldn't be too hard. But then again who wants to leave there plants in attended for more then 2-3 days. I dunno an idea maybe.

Strange they moved your hibiscus pic. Don't really make sence lol I've seen tons of off topic pics all over other peoples 300 page long threads lol.

Have you decided how your going to trim? Some leave sugar leafs on because they contain thc, and they do. But they also got a green chlorophyll taste, and I don't care for that taste too much. Plus I like to make gravity hash with trim.

Speaking of gravity hash! I got enough trim saved up to make another batch this size..

Here's a batch from last year i found a pic of.

Stumped, how do you make gravity hash? I have never heard of it.
 
I plan to cut off all fan leaves and trim up the tips of sugar leaves even with the bud. If it has crystals on it, I'm keeping it lol. Wanna make some qwiso with the trim. Never heard of gravity hash, but like the way it looks if that's what's in your pic.

I got bubble bags and all that shit, didn't care for 3 types of hash. 1 being junk, 1 being good and one being OK. I decided to try this method for the full melt in one.

Here's how I make it.

Material's needed.
2 buckets 5 gallons, or if doing more then one batch get a big flat bottom garbage can.
Biggest glass maison jar u can find. Or multiple jars works fine too.
Large pyrex pie plate or a large dinner plate. Glass is easiest just make sure its not painted there will be scraping involved.
1/4 inch air line tubing
Silk screening, I use a food strainer that has a fabric strainer, works the same.
A drill with a paint mixing bit, or a food mixer. I've used both same results, but I killed 2 hand mixers in the process of making a half pound of hash lol


Step 1. Fill the first bucket about 1/3 with ice, then fill to 3/4 with cold water. And add a good 2 big hand fulls of trim. I got technical with the process and weighed what I was putting in each bucket or run. Was a half pound wet trim.

Step 2. Now you got everything in the bucket, now mix it for 25 min, lol why 25 min I dunno. Number works for me.
After 5 min it will foam up, this is good. If it don't foam add more ice.

Step 3. Strain it through the silkscreen. No easy way about it, fuckin messy lol squeeze the shit out of the wet trim and get all that foam out, it contains the trichs. Now you got a bucket of brownish green water without hardly any plant matter in it.

Step 4. Put the bucket in a place about waist high, and a place where it won't get bumped or moved. Its critical to keep it still as possible. Let it sit for 3-6 hours, or once you see the water clear up usually no less then 3 hours.

Step 5 get the price of 1/4inch tubing and siphon the water out of the bucket till about 1 inch from the bottom of the bucket. Be gentle and not to disturb the sediment on the bottom, that's the hash!
Swish the bucket around and pour it into the glass jars.

Step 6. Let the jars settle for another hour, then siphon off as much water as u can without disturbing the bottom. Now pour the strange looking shit onto the pie plate and let the water evaporate. A fan on it in a warm area will dry it out in 2 days roughly.

Step 7 scrape the shit off the plate, and press it with your hands, or twist the corner of a bag. If its too hard warm it up and it will become plyable and easily moldable.

I think that's it. Lol

Lol I'd never smoke just sugar leaf. I'll microwave bud before I do that. I'm smoking on shit only drying for a day now lol

Same as if you were to do qwiso. Only gravity IMO is better and cleaner. Who the hell wants to smoke alcohol lol can't buy 100% ISO.
The idea for rso, uses naptha that will 100% evaporate. I feel abit easier knowing that. But I still prefer this method for extracting trichs in a clean way.

Half pound of wet trim isn't that much. My small plants about 3 of them. And yield 3-10 grams per batch. Depending on quality of trim.
 
I should write a tutorial with pics, lots of people never heard of it and waste there time making oil. I hate oil, fucking messy but each to his own. And now that I've heard of rso, I def wanna try that. Not shitting on oil, if that's what your after.

If I had a choice hash or oil I'd pick hash every time, unless I need rso for cancer or something, then its a different ball game. I'm talking strictly recreational.
I'd imagine the hash extracted would be close to rso, if using high cbd strain, cbd is in the trichs isn't it? And cleaner, easier and less dangerous.
 
I'll be doing this, but on a smaller scale with my lower amounts of trim. All I need now is the screen. You grind it up real good before you start right? I might throw some other random bits in there if they're covered in trichs. Not sure if I'll use popcorn bud too, or just smoke it. I prefer smoking, and adding little toppers to it. Don't wanna deal with oil though.
 
Hey man whatever works for you is cool, and your hash looks decent. For me, I like the bubble hash and use a 4 bag set. I don't look at having different grades as a hassle. On the contrary, I get an excellent idea of the full resin profile of my plants through proper water/ice extraction and it's all useable except the first 220u bag (primary plant material bag) which I throw away after my second run which is extended in time. Even the lesser grades of bubble are good for edibles/oils. Depending on yield, I usually keep the bottom 2 bags as they have the highest grades (45u, 73u) and the rest gets put in the edibles container. I've only made it twice with my own fresh-frozen trim and I had everything except stalks in it (which I may even include next harvest as they have some unique frisbee-shaped trichomes on them too). I've made it 3 more times with buddies who had saved their trim but didn't have bags. Of course I was only happy to bring my hash-kit over and make some with them.

My hash kit:
4-bag set of original bubblebags
1 bucket (remove the handle, it's just easier)
1 XL pizza box...unused (get 2, or even more if doing a large batch)
parchment paper
drying mat (mine came with the bags)
high-quality microplane (NOT a zester)
a hash spoon to remove bubble hash from the bags (I have an antique silver tablespoon I snatched from my junk drawer...it's a hash spoon now)
water spray bottle (for spraying the little hash balls into the center of the screen for easier removal
large wooden mixing spoon (get a sturdy one...they WILL break)

That's about it. I have it all stuffed into the bucket (except for the pizza boxes...duh) for storage and can grab it and go in a pinch. Dry it completely and cure it as you would good weed...done.

I highly recommend going to youtube and watching Bubbleman's World videos. BCBubbleman is the creator of the bubblebags and he's been refining the process for the last 15 years. If you want your hash to turn to liquid when heated, watch how he extracts, dries and cures his stuff.
 
I'll have to look into bubble bags. I know I can't afford them at the moment, but something to look for in the future. Most of you know I'm lazy, so I always look for the quickest easiest method. Should be growing autos with my laziness lol
 
Went digging through my plant again, removed about a handful of small fan leaves that were blocking sites deep down. My hands end up oily and sticky. Trying to get all that popcorn to get a little more pop to it lol. Sunday is flush day. I get more excited with every hour that passes

I've made over a half pound with this method. I have bubblebags and did use them many times. I have trim from 100-200 outdoor plants every Oct. So I've done my share of runs of every method there is pretty much lol plus my indoor trim over the past year.

who wants hash that melts lol, I want hash that crumbles when heated. Real hash. But like I said its all about what your after for end product. If ya like oil make oil, ya like melty hash use bags. U want hard hash like I've bought over the past 20 years use gravity. Either way she all gets smoked lol

When I say many times I mean too many to count, probably in the hundreds lol and I always found bubble bag yield tiny compared to gravity. Bags I'd get 2-3 grams gravity I would get double or triple.

And no Peyton. Never grounded plant matter, that's how ya get unpure hash, from my expierence that is. Just leave the leafs as they are.

I finally got my silver wire from thE bay. Been waiting over two weeks. Ordered a 4 oz blue glass spray bottle to spray the CS on my next plant. I am going to try to spray only one lower branch so I don't lose the entire plant, unsmokable buds aren't good... I have my complete kit now. Now all I need is the new girl.

I'd like to try that gravity hash sometime. But I have a long way to go before I have enough leftovers. Maybe next year I'll be able to plant a bunch of autos outside and use that. I'll have enough free auto seeds. NLxBB will be my first try with colloidal silver.
