Peyton's Sour Sky Hempy Grow 2014

Excitement everywhere in this thread!

Lololol "I'm the perfect amount of horniness" -workaholics

Almost TMI there canna, LOL :yahoo: Harvest soon!

I didn't describe any veins. I don't know what you're talking about. Geez.

OH EM EF GEE MY FIRST HARVEST! I really can't wait. I'm lying in bed across from my open flower room. Giving her that look. You know what look. Lol

Sry if I offended anyone. Hah, just excited and happy all around! Happy camper- not walking with a limp and a candybar in my pocket... okay enough

Yep, from the start this has been a training plant for me and everything I harvest is just bonus. I'm not counting on it to smoke, either. I could and may give most of it away to a cancer patient I know. With my success comes the success of others I can share it with and that's a far greater satisfaction than smoking a lb to myself. I get much higher off altruism to be quite honest. I do, however, want to yield a decent amount for the sake of the method I'm using, though. It's nice to know when you did things right.

What are some indications of a light harvest? You got me curious. Or are you saying its nearly imposible to tell until dried and smokable?

Well aside from buds swelling up the last two weeks, there's no change, and you can get a rough estimate by getting the wet weight. They explained it a little bit ago

I think its possible to guess harvests within a oz or 2. I've guessed my last 4 crops within a oz. Indications of a light harvest is density of nuts. If u can squeeze a nug almost half way or more, its not much not matter how round it is. I had a cola that was 16 inch long and 4 inch diameter was pretty loose though. Dry was only 11 grams lol. The the last crop before I switched to the 1000w, i had a cola that was 16 inch, 4 inch wide, dry was 24g. Both were basically the whole plant in both cases.

Not saying I'm exact lol I've only been growing for almost year. Just sharing my conclusions, might help others.

Leafs won't always yellow at harvest time FYI. I've had my plants go 9 weeks thinking they werent done. Turns out they just had too much nitrogen built up in the soil, pot was not as god as when I chop at 7.5 weeks or 8 right on the nose. At 8 its almost 40% amber so I sometimes chop earlier. Pretty sure after the reading I recently did I don't have pineapple kush, its pineapple express. Explains why it grows so fukin fast, and matures so quick. I've read there is a pineapple express phenotype that finishes within 6 weeks.

Its hard to say until you harvest. Based on my direct observations and the heftyness of the buds, and the samples so far, you might be surprised at what I get. I do have a 1000W HPS so they've been getting their energy, and 1000 grams is not out of the realm of possibilities. Do I think I'll get that much, no. Its my first grow. I do think I will exceed 456 Grams dried and trimmed.

Geez. Yeah, I'm on 52 of the 55 days quoted on the website for my seeds, but of course I'm letting her steer the bus. I think she will arrive right on time coincidentally.

Did you ever consider maybe the intensity of your light was the culprit. I know I had kept my lights far too high at first and my leaves kept every bit of N they collected. Then I realized my mistake, played with the height a bit and the leaves lightened and the plant really took off. If you find you aren't consuming enough N, maybe play with the holy and sacred height of your light. Worked well for me, even though I made other mistakes, I got that dynamic down. It can definately be fine tuned.

I already have my Mars II a little less than 18 inches from the canopy, which the recommended is 24 I believe. My leaves haven't changed color at all. I'll raise it on next grow though for two plants

I thought I read that LED work better with a little distance between them and the tops. Something about the light being more directed so you need some distance to get proper coverage.
