Peyton's Sour Sky Hempy Grow 2014

I was supposed to take pics of the exhaust system today for ya. I forgot. Forgot a lot of things today lol had a bunch of shit to show updates on too. Oh well tomorrow is another day, if I stay away from the cookies lol

About a hour ago I got the 3 x 5gallon buckets ready and plants planted, LST done. Bigger plants this time going into flower so I'm doing 3. Might chuck a 4th just to use up some clones.

It's all good. I can wait on the pics, I still have two weeks till I'd need it.
 
Another day closer to harvest! Plant keeps smelling stronger each day. A lot of hairs are turning brown now. Pulled another piece off yesterday to smoke in a day or two. My buddy is excited to come over for harvest and trim. We'll see how he feels after an hour or two of trimming lol
 
Lol I laugh when I hear people complaining about trimming. I'm super fast or something. I can trim my whole room 12 plants in 1-2 hours.
Last summer I did 108 outdoor plants in 3 days 6 hours a day. 5-7 foot tall plants.

I've been trimming for 10 years or so for friends and my own outdoor. They always end up paying me to trim there crops lol
I guess I got a system. Or something lol

I'm really interested in this dry trimming I've been reading about.
 
Him and I have never trimmed before, so I'm guessing it's gonna be a long sticky mess for us. But I always have fun. I'll just put on some good cartoons and get to it. I'm sure laughing and talking will help time fly
 
Thanks. Unfortunately I didn't get the led till flower started, so I've never vegged under it yet to see how much better it does. I wish I could have filled in screen more, but I'm happy with the results. I'll have to have my buddy bring the scale over, cause I've never owned one. I've never sold, only bought, but am very curious to find out wet and dry weight

I like to weigh wet vs dry so I can know how dry my pot is. Should be 1/4 to 1/5.

Yea I've yet to nail curing fully. I always end up smoking it all before the 2 months your supposed to cure lol. I find drying it slowly just outside my growroom in 40% humidity it don't taste good, and it takes 5 days to get smokeable and 7 to get what I consider dry. When I hang it in my furness room at 85c and 20% humidity its smokeable in 3 days and dry the way I like it in 3.5 days. And for some reason it smells better when I dry it in the Furness room.
Strange Like I said I haven't quite figured out drying and curing, never had enough to last long enough lol.
 
Well my little test bud is sitting in the drying rack two days, it has gone from weighing 7.6G to 2.0 now. It is almost dry, but the stems still don't snap, they bend so another couple of days. The bud is 26% of it original weight. It lost a lot on its first day 50% another 24% on day two. I guess the rule of thumb is 75% - 80% weight loss from trimmed wet. So mine is at 76% now, I am checking every few hours now till I get snap so I can weight it then that should give me a good estimate of my final dry weight will be when I harvest.
 
I'm guessing the last bit of my stuff I smoke will be around that 2 month mark. Hopefully lol. The fattest bud on my plant is the one I accidentally supercropped when the stem split in half.

Yup pretty much what I just said. 1/4 to 1/5.

Dunno if that's for all strains, seems to be good for mine. For ever 100 grams wet I get between 20 and 25 grams dry. Although I did dry some stuff I cut down early. Was pretty damn dry the few buds I kept. Was 3.1 wet and dry it was 1.1 and was even a bit too dry. Only 1/3 and buds are 3 or 4 times more dense.

Awesome. I'm excited to harvest. Still can't wait to see what your harvest pulls. Gonna be a ton lol. I think I guessed low with 427 grams. Everyone else was in the 600's I think

I think it might be on the higher side, not my guess of 800G but close. What impresses me is the density of the buds, the test bud is pretty small and its 2 G almost dry, I had a popcorn branch break off and it weighed 47G trimmed, with the main bud 20G, that would be 4-5G dry for popcorn. :party:

That's awesome! I hope you're on the higher side too, I just have no concept of weights yet other than in bags I've bought, so I'm still bad at guessing weight
