Hang in there Zombiewoof. I've been through many many surgeries and I know it takes a while to recover, but just rest and recuperate with your medicine. Be happy it's over! For me when I was on the chemo, cannabis was wonderful medicine for the constant nausea.

I need to ask you guys, how do you feel about ph fluctuations? Am i too worried? I've been playing around a bit. Ph keeps rising - and it only takes like 30 min. So i can go from 5,9ph and then half an hour / an hour later its reaching 6,8ph.
Right now i am having 10 ltr of tap water ph 7,6 - and i have put in a bubbler stone and its been running for 3 hrs. filled with 5ml ph down, measured at 2,8ph. 5 minutes after ph 3,1. ??? Am i just too worried? I guess i find a problem when i get straight tap water, ph down. and then feed my plant. i know within an hour its already back to 6,6-6,9ph = nutrient lockout??

Doing hempy, right? Are you aerating your water to dechlorinate it? I just let my water sit 10 minutes. I add each nutrient one at a time and shake well before I add the next nutrient and then shake again. I do this til all nutrients have been added. Then I test ph. Then I add ph down (or up) a little at a time to get the ph to 5.8. Ph should be done after mixing all nutes. Let it sit after shaking. Then check the ph again before feeding, to be sure ph is correct. I shake after adding anything to the water. Make sure to add ph adjusting fluid a little at a time and shake and check ph each time. I would do this until I am sure ph has stabilized. After doing this a few times you would know approximately how much ph adjusting liquid you will need for the nutes until you change to blooming nutes. Sounds like a lot of extra work, but until your problem is figured out and corrected, it will plague you and your grows. Doing it this way will, in the end, be the way you will be able to see what you are doing and the effects on your nutrients.
Do you know what your total alkalinity is? Most people don't. I am not sure why your ph isn't stable. Are you measuring your run off? That could be higher than your nutrient ph. That is usually done to see what the plant is doing, ie. drinking water or eating nutrients or both. I stopped watching my run off. Changes too much. Check it and if it is as high or higher than your tap water ph, I would just flush with 5.8 ph water. Because of using vermiculite I would slowly flush each pot. About 3 gallons per pot should do a good flush. Then prepare your nutrients, as described above, and feed plants.
My hempy's reservoirs are empty 24hrs after feeding. It takes more than the reservoir amount, 1+ gallon, to get any run off. Because you used 80% vermiculite your medium stays wet. Vermiculite holds water. Because of that, you might be seeing something related to that with the instability of your ph and your sawtoothed edges. Just think of it this way... your first grows teach you how to get better at the craft each grow. Just hang in there and think it will get better and easier as you go along. Hang in there.

I just noticed this because i was playing around.
I never touch anything - i shake the bottles before use. Fill up 10 ltr, apply 5ml of grow stir it all round, then i add 5 ml of bloom stir it, then adjust with ph down/up. And thats it. The runoff doing it this way has been 0,5-07 higher.
I use 3 gallon buckets, the hole is 16mm and is drilled 2 inches from bottom. Making it a 2 ltr resorvoir.

My 3 gallon buckets have a 9/16 inch hole. The bottom of the hole is 2 inches from bottom of inside of the bucket. My reservoir is larger than 1 gallon, 3.79 ltrs.
What brand of grow and bloom nutes are you using? I use GH FloraNova and only mix grow and bloom for one week during transition from veg to bloom. I'll add my feeding schedule below.
I prefer to use three one gallon jugs to mix nutes. Just easier to mix those amounts for me. And to pour each gallon into each plant bucket. I mix 3 and get less than 1 litre run off from two plants. I Mix and feed every day. Finally I am flushing one with 2 gallons of water and GH FloraKleen each day. Tomorrow she'll be harvested.

I use gh floraduo grow hardwater and bloom. I am not too sure about when to water but i always feed with nutes. I am building a better system for easier flush. I am telling you its a pain at this moment. Will throw some picks when build is closer to finish

I have my buckets sitting in totes that I cut down to about 4'' deep. All run off is contained and when finished draining I use a small wet and dry vacuum to suck up the run off. Helps a ton and it helps keep humidity down.

Thats actually how my setup works right now besides i have no tool to remove runoff so i have to remove buckets in n out. So i figured i'd make another way around this problem. Wont be able to do when scrogged out

Instead of rez hole 2" up, make the hole so that a 1/2" or 3/4" piece of tubing can be installed at the bottom.
Make the tubing about 6" long. When you water your Hempy now, you can see the level your at but more importantly you can turn the tube down to drain the rez.
No more tilting & all that.
If you use hempys, you'll probably end up doing this eventually anyway. Get it over with & make it easier.
If you're going to scrog hempys, you have to do this as well.

Yeah, a watering ring would make it easy when you scrog a hempy. My first grow was a huge pain in the ass trying to water under the screen. 1 week till HGK Flux harvest! Huzzah!
Yeah, i guess i'll deal with that problem later too. Lol
Okay. so by now i need to drill a hole, and get some fittings for the buckets.
Lost 18 inches of height, but then gained the size to fill in another bucket, and easier for me to flush and feed. And working height is way better now, at least i don't have to sit on my knees no mo

Holy shit I missed a lot. Feels like I've been gone for awhile lol.
Still not out of the woods yet. Got 4 hours to relax then on the road for a 18 hour drive. Might need to get someone to take over the solo challenge thread.
Things to do.
1. Adjust light with new hangars I bought.
2. Add AK 47 clones to flower room.
B. Water all plants in flower room. 12 are being flushed 10 or 12 will have first feeding.
4. Catch up on 420 mag!

Hell yeah, I'm excited like it's my first harvest again. You me and wildjim should all be harvesting here real soon. Can't wait to see the weight you get out of the new strains. I think I'll start flushing HGK tomorrow. It would be nice if my leaves would change color for once
Got me thinking - i should really get started with scrogging and flowering. I am all out! hows that ever gonna be a good christmas eve without a smoke?

Yeah, get to growing jummejum. I waited way too long between crops and it sucks hard. Most of my summer was spent sober, and I damn sure won't spend this football season and holiday season without smoke. So get to it man!
