Okay, thanks for all the input Not only for me but for all the other growers out there experiencing same difficulties.
This is what i found after some search.
What are egg shells made of?
The main ingredient in eggshells is calcium carbonate (the same brittle white stuff that chalk, limestone, cave stalactites, sea shells, coral, and pearls are made of). The shell itself is about 95% CaCO3 (which is also the main ingredient in sea shells). The remaining 5% includes calcium phosphate and magnesium carbonate and soluble and insoluble proteins.
Dolomitic lime (also called high magnesium lime), has about 20% magnesium and is used where the soil needs magnesium as well as calcium. Then there's hi-cal lime (also called calcitic lime or calcite), which has only about 5% magnesium and is recommended where there are already adequate or excessive magnesium levels (Oyster shell lime is a good substitute if hi-cal lime is not available).
Epsom Salts add Magnesium (Use at a rate of 1 Tsp or 5 Ml per gallon of water every second feeding).
Egg Shells add Calcium but take a while to break down. The finer the grind on these the quicker they can break down. And are Pretty pointless unless you have "Cooked" your soil prior to planting in it. You need something that can be dissolved into water to be fast acting.
"Good" pH is more than just a number on a litmus scale, but entails a proper balance of potassium, magnesium, calcium and sodium.
Also something I know for a fact is that using tap water can have benefits but it can also have downfalls. I have extremely hard water and there is nothing I can do about it and it locks out nutes constantly, but at the same time I don't have to use nutes with my water!...Too much PPM and salt buildup. I am working on getting an RO system and a secondary filtration system set up, hopefully in the near future.
