Parfactworks HB 1500, Weed Seeds Express & Prescription Blend 3x Sponsored Grow - The Safari Pt I: A Vegetative Journey

I had to ban Blippi from my TV. There was just something about him that just wasn't right. Kind of Pee-Wee Herman-ish. Although, a good friend of mine who is in TV editing, is working with his Blippi and his new shows now and he said he's a real normal down to earth guy. Go figure.
At first I was like ummmmm but the baby adores him and he actually does teach a lot of good information and has a way of presenting it that keeps their attention....that's awesome though...the man is rich...have you seen his house on the show? He gets all that funded for sure so he banks a lot a lot...also...forgot to mention in the dry/cure a big thing...it needs to be dark...the light breaks down the enzymes and terpenes and all the good stuff...

Hmmm - maybe get the little one a big ass art easel with a lot of paper? Your young-un seems to want to draw in FRONT of him ?

And yeah - LOTS of magic erasers!
An easel is a good idea! He has so much to draw on he just likes the walls!!!
Haha then it's back to normal and you can deal with the rest of life's ups and down, who stands on line at the amusement park for the roller-coaster with no upside and down and an occasional twist here and there:lot-o-toke:
Yup!!
Plants are growing! Excited to see them thriving and blooming in no time.
Yaaay, thank you!!! I'm happy with their recoveries!!
My wife's a baker and this hit home for me! She's giving me a rolling drying rack. I'm going to modify it for seedlings and clones.
Smart man...
@Krissi1982 I rooting for Limelight to pull through and sending positive greenthumb vibes your way, remember perseverance shall get you thru a lot in this life :goodluck: it ain't over yet (L.O.X - Living On Xperince or Learning Off Xperince) either positive vibes
Thanks so much. Positivity is KEY!!!! She will get through it and if she doesn't, I did all I could and I learned a lesson....luckily I have 4 more seeds of her
Wish I could it's 2021 and all that trekkie stuff people watch and there Isa teleportation machine yet......Sheeesh :rollit:
I get mad about this all the time

Another deed is done...Goldie was moved into the same amended soil as the others-4:1 FFOF to Seed Starter, Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate), Earthworm Castings, and a sprinkle of Bat Guano, soil dampened with purified water...

I know it's early....again, I figured let's just give it a whirl. There's only 2 scenarios that can play out here...odds are in my favor with how the others did. Fingers crossed

Let's see what she does overnight. I'm hoping for the same results as the others. She looks so teeny in there but I always say that when they're first transferred...

As the guy who mentioned that the light was too bright for the sprouts, I want to jump into the dimming/height conversation again if that's okay:
I was thinking of rising it and increasing intensity
.once they develop a third set, I will increase by 5-10%. May raise the light by a couple inches when I do.
Most of these sprouts need no more light than a T8 will provide, so please don't waste your money on the electric bill by raising the output of the LEDs at any height. They would be better off at some tiny percentage power @ 8" above as you would do with fluorescent tubes. And the bigger ones that can take more light can just get boosted a few inches closer.

Varying with wattage and height is best saved for when penetration becomes an issue. Higher output from further away provides better penetration to the lowers than lower output closer in. But it will be quite a while before that becomes a factor.

A lux meter would be an excellent $35 investment, and a PPFD meter would be best if you're spending your budding artist's college fund. :cheesygrinsmiley:

From the RQS website:
HOW MUCH LIGHT DO YOUR CANNABIS PLANTS REQUIRE?
  • Clones and seedlings: 5,000–7,000 lux
  • Vegetative growth: 15,000–50,000 lux
  • Flowering: 45,000–65,000 lux
  • Maximum recommended amount of light: 75,000 lux
the light breaks down the enzymes and terpenes and all the good stuff...
Light degrades THC to CBN so I think that's why we dry and cure in the dark. I don't think it plays a role with terpenes, which are lost in the open air (hence the sealed jars), and the I don't think the microbes responsible for the cure are sensitive to light.

But of course

Noted!! I didn't turn them up past 35 and 40. I decided to keep them there so I'm glad I did...

I'm still listening....

hahaha he has an Acorn account for that! Mama can spend the 35!

In with the science for the win! Thanks Shed, I appreciate the time you put into collecting all this information into this post for me, well for all of us!

Update on the girls....

The bigger girls started Full Seedling Doses
Goldie and Limelight got some tea...

Goldie successfully made it and is doing well since her transfer. Her new growth is super healthy

Limelight is holding on, somehow....still growing her seconds out and I think, I see thirds in there....

Gelato girls, Vanilla and Sprinkles are happy

Onyx gets prettier every day

J.H. Spidey is looking great, wish I hadn't fried those first sets on the ends...she would look perfect if I hadn't.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and that you remember to take care of you. We can't take care of anyone else, not even our plants, if we don't take care of ourselves first!

It's been 45 here during the day, 33ish at night. Today, 70. I went to check on the littles and their tent was 33 degrees Celsius! I have a European hydrogmeter model in there lol go figure....had to turn the AC on...do you believe that shit? Just had it to a point in there where there was no more adjusting temps...leave it to NJ weather. Only for today though-It will be 42 tomorrow :high-five:

I'ma have to print out a conversion chart just to keep next to my computer!
I have one I got with some seedling starter pack I use for my actual fruits and veggies...I have it pinned on my board on the grow room. I have my phone for quick conversions lol

Four beauties and two living strugglers isn't too bad! Gives you a little something to be anxious about, and who doesn't need that? :cheesygrinsmiley:

Noted!! I didn't turn them up past 35 and 40. I decided to keep them there so I'm glad I did...
:thumb:

Many folks put the light at a good height/intensity for early veg and let the plants grow up into it, increasing the lux just because they're growing closer to it.
Mama can spend the 35!
Dr. Meter LX1330B is what I use. Works from low light all the way to bright sunshine!
We can't take care of anyone else, not even our plants, if we don't take care of ourselves first!
You said it! :bravo:

How inaccurate are the Lux meter apps on a smartphone?
I assume very. I am just going to buy the one Shed told me to...at the very least I can up my conversations on here...sounds pretty cool saying "Yea I got my luxes right where I want em bro"-now that's fancy

Most phone apps are about worth what you pay for them, but there is one I've seen talked about on the site that apparently does pretty well. Baked recommends this:

I prefer a handheld one with a cord!
I got the Photone app and really dont know how to read it LOL

Thanks Baked...helping without knowing!!! That rhymed...

Me too!

Is there no chart BG?
Apple, apple, apple.. I will not cave to the peer pressure, I love my androids
Yaaassss!!! DROIDS forever!

I got the Photone app and really dont know how to read it LOL
Does this help?
Here's all you do:
1. Open app
2. Find the kind of light you have, ie, full spectrum, red/blue LED, MPH, etc.
3. Pay $5 to unlock the type of light you have, the app tells you how
4. Now you can use the app. To get an accurate reading you have to add a diffuser.
5. This is a fancy word for plain piece of white paper
6. Cut a strip that will loop around the top of the phone and cover the lenses front and back and tape in place.
7. You're ready to go! Select your light, hold phone horizontal to ground at whatever level you wish to measure. You can select par, or lux to measure with as well as some others. I measure in par cuz I find it easier to process than lux.

Hope that helps.

Androids are only a problem when the rest of the family is on iPhone...oy the group texts!
I'm the only Droid. I know...I get the **can not download** or the :::: instead of an image. Don't even get me started on having to create links for videos because if not, it's like watching a camcorder VHS from 87
