Holy Freakin' Wow! Those are amazing pics! So, how are you liking High Brix?
Doc thanks for stopping by!
LOVING high brix. Learning the ropes. My pots are too small. I'm gonna go for 15 gallon root makers/air pots and turn my tent into a jungle! LOL
So I've finally got my head on straight and have a bunch of landrace beans ready to go. That afghanchitral hasn't shown up yet, but I got my hands on two strains from Cannabiogen - Pakistani Chitral Kush and Panama. The Pamana was supposed to be panama d.c. (Deep chunk) but they sent me wrong pack I guess. Stoked to try these anyway, hope they send me those other beans I wanted haha.
I also have a pack of Colombian black bastards from gage green on their way. It's a Colombian black mom open pollinated by all of their best studs at the time. I've heard great things about this pack of suprises!
And finally I found another breeder who really specializes in landrace and heirloom strains. They have all sorts of epic strains, with the "Puna Sativa" really standing out to me. They also have a couple of purple haze crosses that look interesting, as well as some pure indicas made with landrace hash plants. Really exciting shit.
So yes doc I love you and your kit. Its just getting better and better in my garden. Can't wait to try my recycled soil!
I got all these beans that I fear won't jive with kit soil, so I'm in the process of designing a simple, probiotic oriented, mineralized OC+/organic soil mix. My thoughts as of now are that I would like to veg my plants in 6-5-3 mineralized with a regular strength dose of OC+, then transplant into an organic soil mix that will be as follows:
Sunshine #4
6-5-3
Insect frass
Light bonemeal/guano 50/50
Bokashi/EM-1 made with:
[Wheat bran/rice hulls/sawdust
Biochar
Dry ganja leaves
Azomite]
Not going to use the bokashi to make compost, but will be mixing into soil at 1:100. Will also use alternating drenches of activated EM-1 or T&J tea. I'm thinking ultra dilute at every watering and see if we can keep the micro herd flourishing.
I think the OC+ charge from veg, plus the frass, organics, minerals and bokashi/tea mix in flower will be a winner for some OGs. If I find something I really like from there, I'll try it in high brix. But really, these landraces will be the stars of the show I'm sure!
Puna sativa here I come.
