PakaloloHawaii's LED High Brix Perpetual!

Same strain as the last fisheye photos, this one a little further along.

6-5-3 mineralized sunshine #4 w/ OC+

It will be a nice comparison to my plant in docs soil.

So far extremely frosty and happy. Frick makes me want to build a little greenhouse and sample the kit in some really big pots or beds outdoors. Soon enough....

K little update.

Veg tent is doing great, 3 huckleberry, one underdawg og, and an extrema. Worried about that last one. They keep throwing nanners. Two beans so far, two hermied. This looks like it could be a different pheno, so willin to try one last time. Seems like it always happens week 4 or so right after/during cat drench. Thinking about skipping the cat drench..doc feel free to chime in.

This is a new extrema from seed, also 60+ on her. Praying for non hermie pheno. Doc, thoughts on cat drench/strong reproductive energy and plants sensitive to hermie? My outdoor cut of the same plant in OC+ no signs of nanners..

The huckleberrys are amazing they smell so dank kush awesome already I'm psyching. Seems like two different phenos based on growth rates, but smells vary between the plants quite a bit. One smells of gardenias! Another very herbal. And the last is straight kush smell. Pretty crazy how long these have been vegging. I let them get stunted in one gal containers while I built/topped the manifold. They weren't looking so hot living in those things for two months. Once transplanted into 2gal pots the brix really went up and she started growing nicely again. Pretty cool way to build a good rootball and bonsai a plant till there is space available.

Here is my underdawg OG. Very slow vegger. Skinny soft stems. Fucking awesome OG smell. Hope she goes well. Also 60+ veg on this LOL started in 3x3 small baby square pot and up canned twice so far Haha.

And boy oh boy I'm excited to cut this lady down. Rare dankness daydream haze. Blueberry candy muffin pheno. Pot was too small so she looks pretty ragged but the buds are super dense and smell ridiculous. 10.5 weeks today. Might let her go the full 11..but prob not.

Wow, Tavo, your next round of bloomers are gonna be sweet! You put a lot of time into those. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Daydream Haze looks spectacular. :thumb:

Thanks bro I'm really excited. Trying to pick next strain to pop. Lots of choices. After all these indicas ready to go, I'll need some sativas, so that narrows my choices a bit. I'll post possible strains and would love everyone's opinions.

Tavo......Some plants just go Hermie.

The Cat Drench might bring it on early.....but I think that's better than having it happen later, IMO.

If it's the same cutting, the outdoor one will probably do it too....just later on in the cycle.

Thanks doc. It's what I figured, but was hoping there was something I could do different.

Chopped this down yesterday, tried a small bud I dried on my t5 - very potent and super smooth already. Pretty excited for properly dried and cured buds. They will be tastey.

Doc, not so happy about my plants eating themselves. It's happening to all my girls in late flower. Wondering if it's because my "7 gallon" air pots are only 5 gallon. Or because I've been using more tap water than I like. I try to cut with RO as often as possible.

I got 15gal airpots coming which are 12 gallons of soil I believe. Hoping things stay under control. A sativa would be scary huge in one of those if not trained right. Going from 2 gallon veg containers straight to flower in the 15s, no veg in the big pots, trying to give the girls as much space as they need. I'm fucking over this sad plant shit I got going on.

Doc, you think that your rescue soil could help me in this situation? I don't believe I've ever seen any of your plants eating themselves like mine - dry crispy brown dying leaves. More at the top than the bottom. One of my plants looks stellar down low and only alright up top with some crisped leaves.

Also thinking that this 5w topLED has some serious power and at under 24" or so, plants get a bit yellow bleached look or some claw. It's definitely worse on the colas directly under the light. Down low, no problems. I'm working for shorter plants this next round. Those sativa dominant hybrids caught me by surprise and that blueberry muffin daydream got really big.

Round before this was fine, but I didn't veg those as long.

WHERE AM I GOING WRONG??

Hmm.....is there anything stressfull to the plant in your environment?

Do you have botyritis?

It could be the container size, but I doubt it.

I dunno, they look a lot like some of my plants, and I'm in 6 gallons. I'd blame it on pot size.

But what about mag def? If you have calcium-rich water, the ratios drift, no? And we already know that cannabis prefers a little more mag ...

I ran into the same thing but not in flower at the time and added a little Epsom salt by Doc recommendation, the Led's need abit more mag. This has been seen in many grows, not just Doc's kit. Doc has added more to bring the ratios from 10/1 to 7/1 I think for the newest kits. I also have a 100% Indica running beside the one that had mag. def. and it looks great! As far as water I try to use RW when I can but if not I'll bubble mine for at least 24-48 hrs, and my ppm on city water is 27-36 ppm. I didn't see this on my last grow as I was still cooking the Kit. I was using my minerlized coco and had added Cal/mag a few times but not everytime.:Namaste:
I am using Led only in my flower tent, and saw this come on in only maybe 2 weeks when put in the flower tent to veg longer as I was running out of space in the veg tent. Veg tent is CFL 125 watt mogul big light.

No botrytis to speak of.

My LED is really strong and plants that get too tall under it get sunburn.

I have those little bugs, which I concluded were benificial.

Maybe I'm approaching this problem the wrong way.

What would happen to plant in a pot that's too small?

What about watering with too much TA in the tap?

Man them leaves so crispy I'm unsure about adding any Epsom. Haven't seen typical mag def - taco'd leaves or chlorosis.

This has happened two times to me now, both times on a plant that stretched a ton, and made loads of big buds. Both plants seemed big for their homes.

It could be as simple as too small of a pot. It could also be bicarbonates building up due to high TA. Definitely not a mag issue!

If the roots aren't happy they will have a very difficult time taking up phosphorus....which will look something like what you have there.

Try a larger container and see what happens!
