well i went to the pond out the back got some ICE blended it up , put that around the bottom of plants to see how that goes , hoping it will melt slowly

lol , hahaha i knew id catch you out was away most of the day ,getting new car just peeked out and humidity is sitting well over forty below the canopy , was 18/22 before

its good stuff that gear , holds a LOT of water man ,,,, still soaking when i went out hours later , impressed , plus it hasnt soaked into the soil it holds it there on top

it only clicked in my head when you said about keeping the top wet , the peat wasnt doing its job it was drying to quick and becoming too loose and it was holding very little in the end

ohhh and another thing Farmer i have to confess , i got some adults nappies but i said they were for you as there was a chopper flying over head at yours LOL

That experiment that I did with that stuff is still holding a lot of water. That might be a good or bad thing, mate. Careful, I'm not sure I'll use it in my soil. But your method here is good, I think that's a really good solution. I'm afraid if I put it in my soil that my roots will eat it.

That experiment that I did with that stuff is still holding a lot of water. That might be a good or bad thing, mate. Careful, I'm not sure I'll use it in my soil. But your method here is good, I think that's a really good solution. I'm afraid if I put it in my soil that my roots will eat it.
I would be careful with adding it to your soil if you are using nutes. Without having a thorough understanding about its capabilities, you could end up with it holding too much of something or a combination of something that could be almost toxic. It's only a guess but do some more homework on it.

put these girl all on top of polystyrene blocks this morning it might seem warm but the top of the soil and bottom of pots felt cold , i am given up stressing out on this lot , gona just pop my head in every other day , if they look dry ill water thats about it . weather is a complete fucker !!! and i cant beat mother nature lol . bitch !!!! i need a bigger fecking house

cheers mate , im not beating my head off the walls any longer , another month and ill be cracking some regular plants , , talikng about seeds cracking im doing chilli, monkey nuts, sunflowers , garlic , tomatoes , strawberries , blue berry and raspberry lol ohhhhhhhh roll on spring might even do tobacco as ive got the seeds also ,

treated the girls to a giant 300watt CFL blue spectrum to add to the lights , maybe they just are sick of looking at the hps lol maybe the blue will help them along and cheer them up their my babies i have to make them happy
