Oz's First Grow - Pyramid Tut In Coco

Very nice OZ :thumb: I was overjoyed to see your thermometer showing "F" not a "C" lol. You have me sold on COCO. I'll have a new (first coco) journal soon, thanks again for a great share.:nicethread::peacetwo:
 
Hey OZ buddy Gitt is doing great and MM the WW (yes the invert cought my eye when naming her) is doing great she is just a side line really for a variance of smoke. I never thought id say that on my first widow run. lol.

Here's the four White Widow. Just finished adding the last wires and defoliating tonight.

LA, What do you think? Am I screwed? My plan now is to llet them reach for the starts as they flower. Good idea?

LA....I can't believe you're referring to Molie like that lol. I'd love a W.W but that's for another grow I think :)

Well, I got up this morning to 89f and 41RH in the tent ! I've opened a slight gap in the "flap" to increase intake. Think a few more passives are required.....Stanley knife, drain pipe and duct tape here I come :)

Hi all :) Update on the girls. The Tutts have taken amazingly well to life in their new pot :) Growing and thriving happy, happy litle green godesses :) The autos are growing rapidly too so all is good. I gave all the girls a 1/2 strength feed early doors and then at 3pm completely soaked the coco in all their pots with PH'd water. Good run off so I'm happy there :) I'll feed again tomorrow just to be satisfied that they're getting their goodies lol:) Hopefully the soaking will also raise the RH :) (more on that soon)
Ok, the tent issues! I've fitted 2 more 100mm / 4" passive vents using drainpipe and an elbow coupler. I'm also leaving a 300mm / 12" triangle shaped opening at the bottom of the entrance flap so the exhaust fan is drawing more cold air in from the room:) The temp is reasonable now at 87f. Still got a good neg pressure too.
HUMIDITY....BLOODY HUMIDITY....Todays TOP TIP FROM OZ........DO NOT overfill your humidifier because it will leak and form a massive puddle in the drip tray which it's sat in. The fan at the base will then suck the water up into the motor and electrics!!!! Anyone need a fried Honeywell humidifier just give me a shout :( ....so, new humidifier needed. Mrs OZ, red lights and street corners spring to mind lol :)

Sorry to hear about your humidifier. I also have a Honeywell humidifier, a Cool Mist Evaporative type, Model HCM-710. What I like about it is the fan sits on top of the unit nowhere near the water and the water reservoir has an overfill hole so that water cannot get anywhere near the fan. In addition, if the water ever runs out, no problem as the fan will simply blow air around your grow environment, it won't humidify but it also won't fail since there is no water pump to fail due to low water levels. You would probably need several of these units for your large room but they are pretty foolproof and relatively inexpensive..
 
Hi Col, how's life treating you my friend? I hope all is good, green and glorious in your garden :) .....fool proof is good, OZ proof? Yet to be invented mate? I'm looking at getting another this weekend but think I'll be rather more selective this time lol:)
 
Hey Oz, just checking in. You seem to handling all these obstacles being thrown at you well. I couldn't help but notice in another thread you posted that you will be going up in feed from 1/2 strength to FULL strength. May I ask why you decided to go straight to 100% before testing waters with a 3/4 strength beforehand? If I'm not mistaken, are you using Canna A + B?
 
Hi AG. Great to have you here as always :) Thanks for the kind words mate....I'm pretty resilient these days :) Yep, Canna A+B buddy. The girls responded really well to it but the leaves are quite light in colour so I thought full strength is the way forward. Remember I'm in coco so nutes don't hold like soil :)
