Hi AG. Great to have you here as always
Thanks for the kind words mate....I'm pretty resilient these days
Yep, Canna A+B buddy. The girls responded really well to it but the leaves are quite light in colour so I thought full strength is the way forward. Remember I'm in coco so nutes don't hold like soil
That sounds valid. But I will let you experience the results yourself. A few tips when moving forward: Check for lower foliage gaining a crispy, dry feeling; check for leaf tips curling downwards throughout the plant; and of course you know about burned leaf tips!
Just to put it in perspective, my thoughts on color of foliage as a primary indicator of plant status is an essential tool to have in your arsenal of plant diagnostics. BUT, solely going by one indicator to come to a conclusion, in my opinion, is what often leads to misdiagnoses. I'm not saying you are wrong in your observation, only that you may come to a slightly different conclusion with added observations. For example, is the plant also showing abnormally slow signs of growth(growth after any HST will slow for up to 2 weeks), is new growth light green(first signs of low nutrient feed are N, Ca, and Mg deficiencies, but in coco, Ca an Mg are more prominent), was the plant drinking a lot but suddenly started taking longer for the soil to dry, etc, etc...
These are just some examples OZ, not to tell you what to do, but only a piece of advice I am happy to share. Thinking about it in layman's terms, going up in feed to 75% as well as to 100% is an INCREASE in feed regardless, so if the plant was in need of MORE nutrients, either choice would benefit, only one is more of a baby step than the other.
ALL THAT ABOVE...is the reason I went with meters (plus the fact I started my first hydro setup not too long ago) to do the diagnostics and intuitive thinking for me
Good Luck
