Nice garden guards.

rebuilt the old chicken roosting area into a coop
removing old coop to become a mini garden maybe sunflowers off to take pics ill post soon

cheers dutty, 360,,,

rado,, that stone, apparently, is worth more than gold, well, in one way anyway. if you have perused or taken part in any conversation here about 'rock dust',, that is world class rock dust,,, all compressed together and really hard now,, but,,, the dust comes out of the holes i drill there,, another story,,

the stone is called 'mountain ash',, because it is volcanic in origin,, which apparently makes great rock dust, which is apparently 'really really' good for marijuana plants,,,, i have yet to te3st the theory but am awaiting some new drills to make the drilling easier for me,, all manual,, el manual,, all,, sore hands,, manual,, all,, heavy,,

but it is a neat little creative project i started last year and will continue this year,,, i inspired myself the second i wrote 'garden guards'.. that was new.

one can see the layers a bit on the bottoms and on the right head. be honest now,, please,,, do they give you even the slightest impression of a sex?? either one??

i will post some other examples here,, soon,, cheers rado

we lived on a big shallow lake in vernon a while back,, the lake was a bird sanctuary,, it was a learning experience, let me tell ya,, we had a group of ducks,, cross breeds of some kind,, bigger than mallards,, smaller than geese,, we called them 'the munsters',, they were all different,, but talk about tame,,, it was amazing,, one day, i was sitting out in the back by the lake,, and mrs munster came by,, she had about 13 chicks,, she knew us quite well and she came right up to me,, of course the chicks followed,, if she trusts you,, the chicks do too,, they were crawling all over me, every one of them, about two inches big,, it was a top ten moment for me,,, the wife was watching too,, great memory

Lilacs. My favorite. Smash-your-face-in-them lilacs. There are neighborhoods where I'll get off the bus in spring just to walk past the luscious lilacs. I should plant one on LOS on the balcony in a deep pot!

I wonder if DrZiggy's tiered method would work with a lilac to give root depth without the weight?

OK. Another hit while I give that some thought. Nivek, you're an inspiration.

I had flashes of an illustrated children's book while reading that.

I think Dutty was asking about the ones I called Stratigraphic Trees. The black and white.

cheers dutty, 360,,,

I had to look up mountain ash as a stone. Hmmmmm. All the examples I saw looked like granite. Darker gray with washes of iron rust. If it is a volcanic stone or a sedimentary sand stone, that's good for the structure of your sculpture.

A marble and iron bar sculpture will barely last 10 years outdoors because the limestone in the marble rusts out the iron while the iron dissolves the marble.

If you can scratch the stone with a chisel or screwdriver, it's not a granite.
If your tools go dull real fast, it's a sandstone. It looks a sandstone type sedimentary rock from this distance.

As far as sex, they remind me of this rock monster

Thanks for the butterfly photo (on a Butterfly Bush?) Swallowtails are my favorite. :circle-of-love:
As far as sex, I'd say the butterfly is a young female (but I can't see her bits ) :)

Ok so this time last year we lost 8 of our chickens were murdered for sport. I killed one of the raccoons but the other 3 got away.

Well that left hen solo. That's how she got named 2 years with her flock and all murdered but her. So we moved her closer to the house. This pic is today after fence tear down.

she's been there ever since and her old area was knocked out to make a goat manger but the old roosting area in middle of pen still stood. (should of done a before a after this is just temporary till I fix it all up)

So that roosting area is now a coop kinda

I have 3 dozen ducks in are slough mallards, wood ducks you name it. When We had a tree taken out we had over a dozen baby wood ducks in there. The tree service guy took him to his flock.

Hen Solo,, like a jedi knight. Sorry, I'm a star wars geek. Nice place, DP. Check out my new video, I harvested tonight. Light trim ;)

I've been stalking Craig's list for a goat btw,, know anything about miniature ones? I got a thing for midgets....

I'm so ready, for a farm. Done with these ones and zeros. I'm not meant for 9-5 ;) Thanks

cheers dutty,,
