Our Veggie Gardens!

Yeah, I'm all over this. Great idea, love the sharing! But, I am jealous as all heck cause I still got a foot of snow on my gardens, so I can't share anything just yet.

Here is a short video I did a few years ago when I had a gardening blog, I've since doubled that garden:

Sweet garden petergreen. So you're saying your backyard became a farm? Well done and thanks for sharing.

You guys reminded me I have strawberries out on the balcony I should uncover.

Hi Sweetsue

Thank you! Yes, but I think the expanding has stopped for now, but I've got some space left so who knows. And, opposite of that area I'm building a greenhouse, so I'm busy with garden projects again this year! Funny, about ten years ago when I started my plot was 10x20, then a few years later I doubled it, and last year I started clearing a new area to let my vine plants stretch their legs.

The hole or pit I made last year to hide some MJ plants was backfilled with rich organic material like horse manure and all the perch and pickrel I yank from my pond, and so on. That area I'm going for a 1,000 lb type pumpkin. My son and I are excited for that one. :cheer:

Maybe we can do a 420 great pumpkin contest????

I also have enough wood and space so I might do one of those hugelkulture,,, can't spell it, but that thing made from decaying wood. ;)

I'm a gardener by heart. I was raised by my Nona who was born in Italy, and I was in the garden with her at a very young age. Same as it's been with my son.

It's funny I haven't watched that video in a while,, I really see a lot of room for improvement with what I've learned here from you and others.

What a great thread with like minded people sharing experiences and ideas.... ;)

Hello everybody! Growing fruit, vegetables and flowers is rewarding on so many levels. I have to say that since I started growing weed last year and tipping the left over nutes into my chillis, my chillis exploded in quantity and quality. Bring on the outdoor gardening season.

For about 20 years we had a corner lot with about 50'sq of perennial and herbs. Heirloom peoneys and iris, sidewalks lined with lavender and spearmint, pathways of chamomile, fragrant roses, catnip beds where you could always find our cat sleeping. We had fish ponds with a train that ran around the house and over the pond on a sweet bridge Dale built. We had a Thomas the Tank Engine G-Scale with Anna and Clarabell and James, the Big Red Engine. Sweet memories of the smells and sweat. The garden was my world. The ponds were Dale's. I loved getting my hands dirty in the garden. Only wore gloves when it was absolutely necessary.

I'm going to enjoy this thread.

I was thinking of dumping my used mj soil in my garden or at least my pumpkin patch,, but I'm going to recycle it for mj. I will however be using teas in my regular garden. Some dedicated, other teas will be left overs from mj grow.

When you upload pics for this thread, click the drop down box and select OFF TOPICS PHOTOS. Dutty and I did the same, all my pictures to start the thread had to be redone. That's why the beginning is odd lol.

Ranger, I was just thinking how to invite you along! Thanks for joining us, please share!
