Our Ongoing Grows

Smell smoke??? No, I didn't get burnt.... But some woods around here sure are. We're getting shit on with ashes.. Couple fires pretty close close enough to smell them strong. HMMM brings to mind, I was growing outside in Central Cali around a place called Tracy, well Tracy had one of the tire fires that was burning for a along ass time. Well, I noticed some damage to alot of leafs. Kind of like the trails a leaf miner leaves on a leaf. But smaller and ALOT of them. Acid rain................ Left scars on all my fan leaves.. My guess the wind might have concentrated the smoke and a mist of dew or fine rain deposited it on my leafage?? This happens twice over the grow. I raised the plant the second time and it didn't get as much damage.
Man, I sure wish I had some of the seeds from that shit. I just did a seed grow the year before so I had acouple baggies of them. They were made from bagseed. Whatever it was it was the shit. All my seed stock got got by the cops when they shut me down. SOB's took all my lights I had 8 lights 1000 watt hps, two two a sun circle, a light mover that goes in circles instead of the line. Anyways I had two rooms going and my veg was a room in the garage with fluorescent banks. Took everything that was related to pot, even my High Times collection. Chucked me in jail, I had a hold on me as did my bro. Well, I caught the wind of the cops having their yearly auction, and I saw my shit in the storage room. Well, my X was Japanese, her parent were old school and her grandparent were REAL OLD SCHOOL. But her Mother taught kindergarden and her father taught wood shop. At local schools. They went down and bought my shit back for me at about a dime on a dollar. Those suncirles are the shit.
Right now I could easily fit my plants under the hoods I use, the magnum XXL 6", but I still have the rail going. Even 2'. Makes for ALOT more points of light on a plant over a stagnant light. Even hits the bottom buds some.

That first pic was something.. Alittle over kill on that balcony? That's ballsy. I hope he got it in.....

BL, I just harvested that BBxC99. She was done. Sept 5th. Not the best yield but I'll take it, 7 or 8 ozs. Maybe 5 oz's of prime. Next year.. Watch that. All they are is the samme as those super auto. They just have an extended veg time,, and a fast flower. I'll get a sample in abit, before I can recommend it.. But I do have a ripe harvest that says alot. I could've gotten more out of it by vegging it inside under more light than we have outside for awhile, I bet you could veg these inside, under a 20/4 light, until they hit the right size and instantly flip them in July. Harvest Agust? Sounds like it wood work. They call them photo plants tho. I have lists of seeds I want, at least 7 or 8 of the Fast, and 6 or 8 reg autos. And I'm going to limit myself to 4 large plants. No venders seem to want Visa anymore. Damn

Well I babbled enough Keepem Green

lol that balcony grow the guy probably sitting there high on crank watching those things 24-7 with an uzi lol,i don't see why you couldn't grow those fast ones that way i have two gorillas I'm bringing in every nite at 6 put them back out at 6am speed them up a little otherwise they won't get done until the end of october and I'm sure that would be pressing my luck it can get a little cold at night in october, watch that mold!:goodjob:

Sweet stories.

So was that BBXC99 an auto or is it typical for you to Harvest Sept 5?

I am dealing with the same problem! All by favorite strains are overseas and they all recuse credit cards. I sent a $100 bill to Herbies and it disappeared. . . . I guess I will never buy seeds again unless I want to send an international bank transfer which costs $75 on it's own...

I am thinking about starting a thread for people to report grown times and outdoor harvest dates. What do you think? Think it would help?

:)

A lot of places overseas still accept CC's...Ace...Seedsman...Sweet seeds...just to name a few...lots of good strains coming from stateside breeders as well...Cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:

Go buy from Oregon Elite... all you have to do is go to the post office and buy a postal money order and put it in a traceable letter. This CC thing will sort out eventually.

It's the big AG telling congress and the banks what to do... nothing new. Too bad the canna ball is already rolling down hill and big AG is at the bottom waiting to get rolled over. They should have been a little more proactive and anticipated hippies getting organized! Boom

Then there's the "we can make our own seeds, thank you very much!"

So why would Visa/Mastercard and the like not want to let seed companies sell seeds via CC? business is business ... money makes more money. Maybe seeds getting "lost" in the mail and people asking for refunds thru the CC company got too overwhelming = too much lost income.

I'm going to go smoke some more weed and have a think...

Woody, smoke report on the C99 cross??? Seems that C99 is in a lot of crosses this year. I'm running the Sativa gold weeds and it's in there. VERY fast finishers.

The smoke report,,,, cough cough,, and it's not from the weed. Plants have a little ash on them and they aren't on fire. Air is smokey. We got a big fire up the river afew miles. Peoples places are getting threatened. Some idiot 15-year old started the fire. We are extremely dry right now. And the winds come down the gorge and blow into Portland.

I haven't tried the BBxC99 yet. And I know everyone who knows me gets tired of my bitching about the seasons we have here Lazy one. No not typical by no means. Up here you have to worry about harvest dates. I can't grow things like Super Lemon Haze or most of the hazes or alot of the sativas like Thai etc, outdoors here. Here you need a FAST finisher. These 'fast' versions are supposed to be photo plants. They introduced alittle auto flowering genetics to speed up flowering times. I'm lucky if I can get a plant to totally finish here. Even in greenhouses, unless you got good climate control. When you look for seed here,, you look at flowering times before you read anything else. I couldn't get a plant in that takes 9 weeks to finish here if my life depended on it. I look for 7-8 week plants. These plants are fast. They started flowering long before my other photos. I'm going to work with some next year. I might even go buy some seeds from Stoney Girls Gardens. A local stock that does finish here. I know alot don't care for them,, but they have a great outdoor strains acclimated to here. That's a BIG plus. They have been growing weed here for at least 30 years, and even have other local growers helping to broaden their stock. Sounds like a good thread idea,, but I wood bet someone done started one. I haven't looked yet. But I bet there is. Sticky,, I could,, but that's more work. Besides,, my outdoor weed is mostly for budder and RSO. Minus the main buds of course. But I already have a full house inside. And I don't want to take over the whole house...... But that is a way to get a longer flowering plant in. I like to let my girls get used to mother natures schedule.

You are right Doctor Hook,,, now I got to jam some Doctor Hook,, is acouple places I can get them with a visa and that's all I have. There is always old faithful, Seedsman only takes master card as does Gorilla. I'm going to call and talk. I deal better with a real person than a PC. I'd be damn if I'd pay 75 for a transfer. And I don't have a clue how to get started with these bitcoins, which sounds like what all the vendors are pushing, because of the banks. But I will check them out Mister BBrown...
I've seen their name around abit. But I'll look into them tonight. But I really need Sweet Seeds and the Royal something breeder and even Seedsman has acouple Fast. I been seeing your gold shit... That's an interesting one. Have you grown that gold plant in colder weather? I bet that one wood turn some good colors

The yield isn't going to be great off the Fast. But Is ways I could've worked with her and made her yield more. I have plans. And it's really close for the Pups to come out, and the GG4 isn't far behind. I'll set up and take some decent pics pretty soon. The Puppies aren't going to have much in the way of color like they did this winter. Is alittle purple hue to them,, but nothing like what she was, 20 degrees cooler at night. Oh well,, she should smoke the same,, I hope... She did seem to flower faster. I'm not one that looks at dates on inside grows. They buds tell ya when,, and they are looking like I shaved just about a week off flowering times. But she is fast. Outdoors she's in front of all the other photo plants I have out there.
Well I'll get updates soon on the garden. Till then Keepem Green

You mean something like this Lazyfish????

420 Magazine's Cannabis Strain Guide

That was the first I looked at, but could be helpful. I'm going to do alittle reading. You should look at what Stoney has. But the downside is they are hard to get. But if your in Portland and want a GREAT BIG MONSTER,,, these people have afew. If you treat them right,, some yield 5-6 pounds of decent weed. I have one out there,, Crippled Rino is a Stoney Girls strain. I've been growing it for years now. And I tried to keep this one small..

I'm supprised with the speed this Black Dog is popping off buddage.
But I'm outta here,, I got my laptop out back and the smell reminds me of when I had a wood burner stove for heat. People spending alot of time outdoors are wearing dust masks.

That balcony grow looks crazy as hell. Lol... your garden is looking great as always

I agree MI.
Hey Wood, Im not sure how much Green Cleaner you use consistently but make your own. Ive found 2oz ISO-1 gal water as a base to work good. I might add some Clove oil and also some Eucalyptus oil. Ive got Rosemary. Hot pepper Garlic tobacco. Bonners. Ive got the Califas mites coming too. Im glad experimenting with my own crap is working. Fuck I can picture the Gov. tanker truck cruising down the freeway 2am spewing these Russets like crazy for the new legal year here in Ca. These Russets will be a game changer for many. People thought they couldent grow before! The grow shop equip. buy back will increase.
Just doing a drivebye Wood and all looks well. Great day 420

Plants looking great, and large. How is it smelling out back? I'm not stinking much at all over here. Even my GG#4 seeds are not smelling or I'm just nose deaf and it smells. Anyway, looking great by the pool.

Cheers

Thanks, everyone.... And welcome to my never ending grow... I'll probaly have this same thread 5 years from now. Still smell the wood smoke. And the fires are still going almost unchecked.

About smells,, I'm the worst to judge. I almost have no sense of smell. Probably burnt my olfactory system out years ago. But I don't have a overpowering smell in there. The only way I can tell smells in with a cannabis smell chart. They have them on the net and they do help people like me that can't recognize smells untill someone says I smell this or that,, that I say yea that is what I smell. Very helpful charts. You might have a better smeller than you think,, you just might not be able to put a name to the smell?

I don't spray my plants unless I have a problem,, or I'm bringing plants inside and the 'might' be harbouring a bug or two or some mold spores hitch hiking into my gardens. I like the green cleaner for this,, it does kill bugs and PM. So after acouple sprayings they are clean and I can put them in there. Doesn't take but 1 or 2 bugs to kill off a crop, 6 weeks later, or for PM to coat all your plants. Or I'd use neem. But I stay away from the heavier oils myself.. Unless needed.

OK fast update from outside'

Seeds Here Now also have current Brothers Grimm C99 family line. Can use credit card. :Namaste:

Yeah I think the C99 family are fast finishers. That Gold plant Devils Tit has some in her, and she's a Sativa dom. I just went into flower before I went away for 28 days and the plants went from 20ish inches tall to 7 foot monsters while I was gone.

I harvested the gold one and got 5 zips dry so that ain't too bad in a 7gal pot. Buds are bright green like Thai plants, all the gold leaves dropped off and so it was actually a decently easy trim job.

I have height limitations indoors so yeah, don't have to worry too much about weather or ahem ahem smoke... just need room for plants.

That said, flower times are THE most important thing for me. Time is money. Gone are the 100+ days to wait for a landrace Sativa to finish. If it doesn't say 8 weeks to finish, I'm movin on. With ya Woody on that one fer sure. Breeders know this .. so gotta look for false advertisements.

I've got a lot of friends and they quickly realized the diff between top shelf home grown and generic mass produced weeds. They were happy to see me back home.

There are some VERY good top notch breeders in Oregon that breed for outdoors. I'm not in on all that cause I ain't payin attention, but I know they are out there. They breed for mold tolerance and wet conditions and also short flower season.

Mandala seeds comes to mind... and Coots is in Oregon as well, he's got seeds and if you can find him I need some of "The One".

IGTBU - it's good to be us!
