Our Ongoing Grows

Is that sunshine I see???????????? Quick let me get some sunglasses...... Keepem Green

I had a friend once,, I really did have one,, but he had access to this little wooden box that had all these cool little compartments made into it. I mean small scale, workmanship down to rabbit joints. Way cool box, but each of these where built to house a glass ampule of pure grade A pharma sandoz. You snapped the top off the bottle and had to use it up. 1 drop on a sugar cube was a true 4 way. And it could go 4 ways. Like 750 to 1000 mic's per cube. Some peoples wood just rather put a drop in their eye. I was like 16 or 17. I know we went thru afew bottles. And then there was the 72 hour nightmare.. STP. That was some shit. Don't have anything to do for afew days that you can't laff your way thru. Or act very odd'. Man that years back.. I hear someone wood be lucky to get 50 mic's per hit now days.. But I woodn't know. But I did'''alot really... Keepem Green

Ok Woody now you know what the big attraction was with the Dead. I wouldn't even get my car parked in the lot and I already had at least a handful of 4 way blotter... we got the good'ns a lot of it was free if you were respectful! Crazy daze.. indeed!

Yeah the purple microdot was a little nasty.. always made my joints hurt the next day... Orange Sunshine.. oooolala.. tripping for a few daze.. on that one. Went to the moon and back and then back to the moon.

Felt GREAT after that... they are starting to figure out that psychedelics can for some, be a cure for additions.

If that's true... I'll never be addicted to anything... I cured myself a long time ago... hahahahahaha

True shit tho.. I kicked some heavy duty opiates to the curb cold turkey even ciggy's over night gone & my wife still smokes a pack a day around me. Not saying I didn't have cravings but it was manageable for me.

Maybe there's something to that ...

And the are using micro doses of mushrooms for chronic and cluster headaches with good results. Alot of unexplored drugs organic and synthetic around. More unexplored than explored. Pharma didn't really get started till the first and second World Wars. Funny how wars kick start everything.
I have a little update. How little? This girl is still alive. She's been stunted since birth. Her, I hope, and her sister. Her sister in 2' now doing well outside. This one I've been babying under 24/7 CFL, till now. She got a larger home and is recovering from her first topping;

Thanks all for looking in. Was great to see real sunshine for a change. Plants all loved it. Going up to around 90 in a day or two around here... Keepem Green

Just a fast update. First off I was telling the truth about wanting to try autos outdoors this year. I have 2 super auto Chaze and 2 Number1' Supers in there, along with 5 Early Miss from CKS also.
a344.jpg

I also have one of the Number 1's that looks like she's just about to start flowering. These super autos wood have to be topped acouple 3 times indoors. All my Muay Thai took a crap. One flowered early at about a foot tall. Two others turned male. Seeing the one short one was flowering heavy, I let one of the males have his way with her. I don't really want the seed but you never know. I'll try acouple. And hopefully they will have the super trait in there somewhere. But her she is almost flowering;

and then afew of the photo plants I have going out. I do have afew more but here's this batch

Hope alls gardens are doing great out there... Keepem Green

I've never did alot with autos. As far as topping them into a bush, it wood all come down to how big the plants get. And how long your strain vegetates. This Number 1, shit you could've topped it 4 5 times. It's almost started flowering. I think she's going to get acouple feet bigger. And she's strating to become that X-Mass tree look.
But it all comes down to knowing your plant. These small dawf strains, you probaly can't even top once before they start to flower. I always figgure the first plant is a learning plant. This don't work if you are getting singel seeds unless you clone, and autos don't clone.
Going to be intresting to see how these super autos work out. They wood be perfect for Portland. Harvests Mid July and anytime after that. The one I'm looking forward to in the Chaze super auto. They didn't lie and these plants get big. Even after the mix up I have with the Muay Thai, if these work I'll be hunting a male super auto. I seen Regular seeds from Flash somewhere.. For making seed.
Well I'm going to hit the hay.. Hope all's good out there and Keepem Green

BTW I will be getting better pictures soon

It looks impressive and if you can preserve the trait and have the seeds for yourself I don't see any downside.

Your auto looks great. I have some going now. They are a few weeks old and I keep thinking are they ever going to take off. If I try autos again, it'll be super autos after seeing yours

You know Tead, I remember getting the 'new' Lowrider seed along time back, they use to veg for about 6-7 days and then flower. You ended up with a 1/4 oz of shit weed off them. A BIG plant was yielding 2/3 a oz. I swore never again. But they have come along ways. They might still claim 65 days, but we all know that is a understatement. Least the few I've seen finished that looked good. They were all going 80 day from seed. But like you said they have a time and place. These autos do veg alot longer than others. A GOOD thing in my eyes. But like you said it wood be nive to be able to harvest without having to worry about the rain... Keepem Green

I think you might need to update your general outlook regarding autos.
I recently finished off my first. It was one of the best quantity harvests I've seen. Quality was spot on as well. Speed was incredible.
Based on my experience, and the experiences I've witnessed in other gardens, I can only conclude that the days of sub-par auto buds has passed. These days, I see them on a par with photos.

Tead, I'm hoping so. I did get these auto seeds from CKS. Well, some. I have their Early Girl, Northern Lights, and Trainwreck auto strains, plus their regular B-Berry seeds. I'm always looking for a GOOD B-B strain. I've grown out alot of them, even some of DJ's clone only works, he claimed rocked.Which left the desired look. Least what I wanted... And here I live in Oregon??? So I'm going to see if these are worth their beans....
But I did crack 2 more photo seed. One called Easy Kush and another call GG4. They both cracked and look viable after 24 hours. Both say 8 weeks, which is a tad long for me. So I plan on taking afew cuts or to finish them off inside. If this LED is that cool enough, I'll give it a try. Or finish them up the last week in the fall, inside.
I've been having problems cloning this Black DOG plant. Since I first grew it, it was always a touchy ass plant. At first, I thought I had root problems. But once she flowered, she grew outta it. And last time I cloned her,,, I took 5 cuts to get one. I have three right now hanging on for dear life. I've been using a turbo-cloner with Vitagrow cloning solution under a t-5 light. Now when I took the cuts, I 'might' have not paid attention to giving her a big drink before the cuttings. But these cloners come with a humidity dome. I'm going to try it for the first week. I've never had to use it before. But the dome was an extra reason I bought this setup. Might be a reason???????
Well,,,, I guess it's getting about that time,,, my daylight hours should work for my outdoor girls now. 15.5 hours daylight and getting longer... Time to open the pool up for the year. Temps are going up around here. We have a inground pool. Which is nothing but a big hole in the ground here, we just throw money in. For what 2 months of the year. MAYBE 2 1/2 months. Don't help I keep it at about 90 degrees all the time, from open to close. I love stripping buck naked and swimming around in the steam at 3 am.
I think I'm still going to have afew runaway plats this year. I have a Blue Dream that will get huge, over 10' it looks like, and a Crippled Rino about the same., No idea how big a Black DOG will get.. But anyways it goes, I have to figgure out how to care for clones off it. Maybe I have something good in it? I think I need another joint..... Ok just my 2 cents,, I grew a Incrediable Bulk abit back. I think I did a good job with it. Shit smelled to all hell and back. Beautiful buddage. Nice yield. But I personal thought wasn't all that in the smoke department. Well I read abit and was a claim it 'might' finish here on time. But I have one started, and I'm thinking of killing the 3 inch plant. Shame on me. I just don't want a overload. Because I do plan on alot of autos this year. Well.... I'm outta here for a minute. Is nothing new here, except alot of young outdoor stuff. I will be getting pictures soon. Hope all's agrdens are doing good out there.. Keepem Green

I have a question?????? Does anyone try to root clones with a LED light? If so how high between lamp and plants. All a new ball of wax for me.. So I plan on trying it to it's fullest.... Keepem Green

I'll share an Oregon pool story...
An outdoor pool in the Great NW is kinda just a poor idea. I grew up with one. Sweeping, ph, backwash, filters... all that dance. Like you, our pool was only heated for about 3 months a year. Over the years, there were no major issues really, but there were always spendy normal maintenance issues. It existed in our world for about 15 years before it was filled with dirt and converted into a very nice rose garden.

I just can't imagine what your power bills look like for those scant few months. If you're not afraid of a trek along a river, you might investigate Wind River right over the WA border. You can hit the tourist lodge up top, but the real action is down below at a pool alongside the river below. Carson Hot Springs. If you're lucky, you can see the Native Americans netting fish out of the dam/fish ladder/whatever just up stream. Bring a few joints.

For reasons I'll not discuss, I once had private access to large hot showers driven by really fancy boilers almost steps from the water not far from Seaside. It was awesome. Play in the cold ass water... warm up in a huge steam bath. Often this was shared with a young lady.... or two.

Folks in the South just don't appreciate the joy involved with submerging ones body in warm water. Bathrooms and tubs get no real attention and tend to be small. Our bathroom is so small that 2 people cannot inhabit the room at the same time... but this is the most common configuration in our neck of the swamp.

I like your auto seed selection. They all seem like classics that have been around the block a time or two.
You have read about the pot depth concept with autos... roots hitting the bottom triggering blooming.... yes?

I have a question?????? Does anyone try to root clones with a LED light? If so how high between lamp and plants. All a new ball of wax for me.. So I plan on trying it to it's fullest.... Keepem Green

I do. My clones are low in the garden often somewhat shaded by bigger plants.
Clones really need little light until the new growth takes off. Many folks do it under a single household curly flouro.
Mine are about 3ft from the light and do just fine.

I treat mine the same as flouro. 24/0 until rooted. Right down on the humidome.

I have to say this Tead, that Number One autos roots done hit bottom. Still no flowers......... These auto go up to 125 days in before a harvest and longer.. I've heard that before about bottoming out. Maybe it contributes. But we all know how auto acclimated itself to flower on a time frame, hundreds of years growing in them long cold ass Russian winters. But anyone trying these like I said you could do hella topping with this one. Still no flowers;

I have t-5 lights but I might try the led one day. Weird ass colored lights for sure. Good to see ya Jandre, man I tried again to reach Alaska with no answer? No telling I hope he's allright. He was having a hard time too. His Pops passed too.
Oh and Tead right you was about the airflow with these,, no way you could air cool it easily without alot of tape and reversing the fans. Thanks all for stopping in... Keepem Green
