Otterfarm Flooded! NextLight Mega Responsible!

Which why most LOS soil has buffers added to the ingredient list?
Touche... you picked the exception to the need to pH in a closed container... are we in a mood this evening?

But where you are going with this does not even come close to proving either of our points... LOS or TLO doesn't give a whitt what the pH is other than the soil being within the wide range that supports life and I guarantee you that around every chunk of dolomite lime in an organic soil, there are specialized roots and microbes taking it apart so as to make available all of its base elements.

Highya SO,

That's a monster light panel. I didn't know they are that big now. Love your grow area. Very professional looking. Good for you! Your ladies are looking mighty green! That's a good sign, lol. Do you have 2 autos in the middle? (I forget) Because if the 4 outside ladies are photo's, won't they take up all the space you have in there? Cheers

Hi Bode, that light is unbelievable. It's the one I got from the journal of the month from Nextlight. I'm still figuring it out with its 4 foot flowering footprint. Very powerful.
The two in the middle are autos. I made an auto tent but mistakenly put two photo seeds in so i'm getting as much light on them as possible before putting them back in the fast shrinking "auto" tent that's on 12/12 light now flowering the photos. I hope for a couple weeks before I have to make the move. They may have 3 or 4 weeks to finish I think. Putting the photo seeds in the auto tent was a big mistake. Oh well.

OK! Hi everybody! Today I put some epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) on the surface of the soil and covered it with organic pine mulch. The epsom is for the slight mag deficiency I'm seeing in the tent. MOst on the northern lights and least on the stankberries but there on all. About 2 tablespoons on the 10 gal pots surface. We'll see if it helps.
The mulch is cut fine and looks like it will break down nicely. It'll block light too so roots will want to grow closer to the surface and relate with the microbes there.
The last pic is me being ready to rock with a fattie of dark devil to enjoy while watering, Have a good one.

I have 7 years so far on this soil, and been using pine bark mulch all along, removing it after the grow and replacing with new each time. It may acidify my organic soil a little over time, that 2% layer over the top of the container, but then I come along regularly and add back in some more dolomite... maybe that evens it out. At any rate, it hasn't wrecked my soil yet. Enjoy that fattie! I am about to do the same thing here.
