OTM's DIY Bubble Cloning & Sprouting 40 Year Old Seeds & Current RDWC Harvest

I really want to see pics of it in the living room. Does the Government have a program to give a kick back for equipping houses with high efficiency led lighting? Let them set that living room up with new lights and give that girl a nice place. :thumb:

Not a big fan of Government cheese, too many strings attached to so called "programs", its best to just pay the taxes like a good boy and not attract flies, plus a 4'x 4' 14' closet in the middle of the house wouldn't do anything for resale!:rofl::rofl:

If you really want to go old school with the seeds buy another tent just for them. Get a big one so you can let them get tall, fat, or whatever. Just a whole different grow on a whole different program. Once you get the seeds your after, your germination will be much easier and you can experiment with a shorter grow cycle etc.

That's kind of the plan Age, the tent in the grow room is going to get relocated to another area in the basement with its own filter and light system.

My biggest question or concern is how long veg/flower and would 18/6 12/12 work or should I go to more of a slow build up with a 16 hr max light on and gradually adjust back down.

I have read a few people using a 13/11 to a 11/13 schedule to mimic average outdoor light which would be about a 4 month veg/4 month flower.

I've got my veg set at 18/6 with my T12 fluorescents, my plants are doing well. Many growers recommend at least 4 hours of dark. The plants use the food they have built up during the day to build roots, stems leaves, etc. One of the things I remember about the plants was that as they used the food stores they would allocate based off of the light schedule. Like the plants knew there was 18 hours of light and they had 6 hours to make space for the next days food collection.

I think 18-6 is great, my plants are doing well with it. I'm not sure the specifics of the MW but maybe check the farmers almanac about the type of lighting schedule that strain would get from spring through summer if being grown on Hawaii and outside.

When I started down this road a friend of mine said to me, "Millions of years of evolution, the hard part is already done. Put the seeds in the dirt and let nature do it's thing." Wise words in my opinion.

If it were me I'd go 18/6 until flower, then kick'em to 12/12.

I found this on Leafly not sure if it will help you or not.

Agreed. :)

Its bright sativa high is known to inspire outdoor adventure and sunny escapes. Sweet and fruity, Maui Wowie’s tropical flavor is hard to resist... Having acclimated to Hawaii’s rich volcanic soils, this strain prefers soil with high perlite percentages.
Who writes this crap at Leafly? It's like wine writing at its worst. Jaysus...

Go 18/6 or 16/8 in veg for at least 8 weeks and then switch to 11/13. Treat them very lightly in terms of fertilisation. Are they going into soil or hydro?

8-3 Update;

Not much to report, current grow is filling out and the clones are looking good.

Baby Maui looks to be an only child, its sibling that was starting to peek out is still peeking and has not done anything since the last update while baby Maui is pushing roots out the bottom of the rooter! :cheertwo:

Looks like we will be putting put baby Maui in its first pot of Coco this weekend! Its still kind of a pinhead, although the first leaves are a bit bigger today!

:thanks:

It will be going in to Coco Coir, and I will do a 1/2 mixture of my current coco nutes and gradually increase each week. I agree with at least 8 weeks if not 12, comparing the progression of my current grow at this age, no doubt this strain is a little slower in developing.:smokin2:

Hey OTM, love your work, all caught up and subbed, really looking forward to what happens next.

Thanks for stopping by Blacksmith, :welcome:

There is always something going on here...sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but there are a lot of great folks following along and giving sound advice to help me along so we can learn together!:thumb:
