OTM's DIY Bubble Cloning & Sprouting 40 Year Old Seeds & Current RDWC Harvest

Kinda like Rip Van Winkle waking up.

And we are all peeking behind that tree!:rofl:

Hahaha the mib gif... yay that is so awesome man.. you have done such a great job revitalizing these old seeds otm. Really great job so far!! Looks like a strong seedling too!

Unreal. That particular strain hasn't poked its head out for 40 years. You've accomplished so far what many others have tried and failed at. That is just amazing OTM. I'm just happy to be taggin along.

:woohoo:

The update I've been refreshing for all weekend. Awesome news OTM, hopefully its siblings are not far behind!

Thanks to all of you for keeping the faith, there is a long row to hoe ahead and things can change fast but I have confidence with all the help here we can get er done!:thumb:

It'll be easy it's all down hill from here! Lol that just seems funny that sprouting the seed is harder then growing the plant, but 40 year old seeds germinating is amazing. Congrats!

Thanks Dr. yes, getting them to pop was hard, I hope getting them to harvest will be easier, I have read many others have got to this stage and they start dying, once the pop out of the ground...so the next week may be a cliff-hanger!:wood::wood:

So how long did it take for the MW to pop? It seems like it has been a month...

Good luck with the breeding pair!

The second batch with the stepped up dose of GA3 and some refined practices was started on the 23rd, so 1 week ago...4 out of 6 cracked and 3 out of those pushed out taps, so far only this one has peeked out.:wood:

Cool.

Now I want you to bring back the seeds from the cannabis buried with this guy in a 2500 year old grave.
Ancient Cannabis 'Burial Shroud' Discovered in Desert Oasis

LOL, I bet someone tried, much like the article that JustMeds linked a few pages back.. World's oldest marijuana stash totally busted - Technology & science - Science - DiscoveryNews.com | NBC News

It seems that this plant and Tobacco were the norm back then and nobody batted an eye...maybe because there was no big Pharma back then? ;)

That's a great article. Wonder what it would have been like to have been some high-status guy wandering around the Gobi desert high in 700 BC?

Nice OTM. Almost a religious experience to see the seeds of the devil grow the roots of past times

We have life in the germination station! Ladies & Gentlemen, meet Old Bean #1...hopefully #3 & #4 are not far behind!:yahoo::cheertwo::goof:

This calls for a celebration OTM. Put on the seatbelts cause we're gonna fly :)

If you manage to germinate 1/6 seeds, you'll get a shitload of plants. Even if only 1/10 germinate you'll get there!

I know I don't follow the best, but I love checking the progress here. And I'm glad I did! Yes! It's alive!! Massive applause and congratulations to you OTM! I can't WAIT to see that baby grow! You deserve this moment. Relish and bask in this man. YOU have earned it! This is amazing man! I can't wait to see what that baby produces! I do hope that 70's Maui Wowie turns out female so you have a better chance of reproduction!

Remember Nevill and his Hazes! He only had plant A. B. and C. which made something VERY special for sativa lovers . . I really hope we see at least 1 M and 1 F . to make some "magic" happen here!

Just keep RH like you'd do for a clone for the first week or so. If you get a male and a female you're ready to reproduce them. That'd be actually amazing to see an extinct strain come back to life. If you invest in Phylos genome identification kit on top of it then you're gonna find out what exactly you have there :thumb:

7-31 Update;

Here is baby Maui's first baby picture!

I am thinking 420 Magazine Plant of the Month for August! :rofl::biglaugh::laughtwo::)

Its kind of a weird little runt, not much for cotyledon's and very tiny first true leaves starting...comparing this to what the seedlings looked like on the current grow is night & day...guess that is what being trapped in a seed case for 40 years will do!:laughtwo:

I am also starting to see a little action from Old Bean #4, if you look close you will see a little bit of White or Yellow starting to peek;

Hopefully it will be more defined in the AM. Inside the dome, the RH is around 70% and temps around 80 degrees.

:thanks:
