Organics - Round 2 - Fresh Start!

along with that great news, here is the issue news!!!

I am having the same problems that I had with the clones a few months back. So it has to be something with the tubs... I talked with Corey yesterday, and we talked about my concerns, he is as stumped as I am on the issues in my tubs!!! we ran through the check list and other than using CFL there is no real problems??? have fresh air, good balanced water, and BOMB NUTES!!! but having issues still!!! so anyways, after some internet searching, I was going through the Plant and Pest problems page, and I noticed something that was described as what I have!!! its called Molybdeum (Mo) it does the same thing as a Nitrogen deficiency except for the purpleing leaves!!! so with that in mind, I expressed my findings with Corey and I told him that I read that it says to get some MG or something in that line, and do a foliar feeding!!! well I don't want to use anything other than BPN!!! so Corey advised me that Mo is in the Micro elements, so mix up a batch for some foliar feeding!!! I added 2.5ml to a gallon of water, and sprayed them both down!!!

Well I guess I'll be the one to comment bro lol but it seems you have everything under control now hopefully that micro foliar feeding solves your def. problem. Other then that your babies are looking great. I'll let you know when I start my own journal ATM I just have a few bagseed vegging out I actually transplanted two into 3liter hempys last night. They're hopefully going to be mothers so i made the hempy a little bigger. I'm not really worried about getting root bound because you can always do some root pruning. Maybe make them into some Bonsai moms. I got a few clones rooting this is my first try so far the first two have roots showing and a few with bumps. I took them all a few days apart from a couple diff. plants. None of which have shown sex so I'll flower the clones once they root to see what's up.

Sorry bro couldn't resist had to get my 50th lol almost out of Dutch Masters then the BPN will FLOW I really can't wait to see the results on mine like I'm seeing on everyone else's I almost just threw the DM to the side but I figured hell might as well use it up :thumb:

whats good HFI!!!

Happy to have your 50th post here!!! now you can PM like its going out of style!!! LOL!!! thanks for the kind words about my babies!!!

So I have came to a conclusion, next indoor grow, is going to be with coco!!! been looking into it for a while now, and I have now made up my mind about it!!! well anyways, I have an important announcement...... but you have to wait!!!! LOL!!!

:peacetwo:

Your girls look good despite the minor setback. It seems you have problem solved your own issue. Now nothing to do but sit back with you and watch to see how it all works out...Now what is this major announcement?

G1_12-23.jpg

I know I had posted the pic of it already, but this one is showing the pistol which now shows that she is a full SHE!!! this is now the 8th seed that I got from the same collective that had some plants go herm on them... I told them that I was going to plant them. I then did some research and found that herm seeds are in fact feminized seeds!!! it is still very possible that a hermie plant will give out a hermie, but I will take it!!! give me more fem or herm seeds!!! I will plant every single one!!!

Now for my christmas gift!!! My brother took me out with him and his girls, and we went to Home Depot and he got me a brand spankin new pH meter!!! It's a 3 in 1!!! it has a moisture meter, pH meter and a light meter!!! check it out!!!

pH_12-24.JPG

So now that I have this!!! I came home, ripped it open and stuck it straight into the soil!!! and guess what!!! my pH is WAY OFF!!! I have a 5.8 in the GDP (explains the yellowing and stunted growth!!!) but what troubles me the most is that Afgoo is only at a 6, but she is doing worse!!!??? I don't understand that 1!!! well anyways, now I have to get my pH up and I don't want to go and get the pH up from GH!!! I want ALL ORGANIC!!! I would love to keep it ALL AND ONLY BPN but Corey doesn't have any pH up or downs yet!!! so the organic way is to add some dolomite limestone, to up my pH, now I read on my pH chart to increase pH .5 (+.5) to add 1/2 unit of dolomite limestone... what the crap is a 1/2 of a unit???

HELP!!! look forward to some answers!!!

:peacetwo:

one more update coming!!!

UPDATE!!!

Whats good everybody!!!

Firstly, after the foliar feeding, this is the result...

I did a transplant on GDP in hopes to get her to get back into the grow of things!!! LOL so here is my photos from the transplant!!!

Of course, I used BPN Root Magic, which IMHO it is a miracle worker under the soil level for the roots!!! it's nothing but goodness for those roots, they grow out so big and healthy!!!
G4_12-23.jpg

here we have me making the super diluted Bloom solution, I always make this solution when I plant any seed or do any transplanting to help get them out of shock faster!!!
G5_12-23.jpg

Everything ready for the transplant!!!
G6_12-23.jpg

Look at this root bound baby!!! poor girl!!! she was getting all cramped in that lil 1 galloner!!! LOL

And lastly, here is the watering with the Bloom solution mix that I made!!!

Now that she is in her new home, I can get her pH back on track and get her back to growing the way I intend!!!

:peacetwo: all!!!

Hey Aston...
Is this your main journal now? Since you have a couple, not sure which one to hang out in? :smokin:

Whats good DBM!!!

Yes sir, this is the current grow right now!!! I just got my pH meter and am starting to adjust the problem... I am going to go into town tomorrow and get me some domolite limestone so I can correct the soil pH!!! its a very low 5.5 on the Afgoo, and a 6.0 on the GDP!!! but on the plus note!!! the GDP is getting her dark green back!!!

:peacetwo:

Hey Aston...

From what I understand a 6.0 PH on a soil grow should be fine my friend. I usually run between 6 and 6.5 . What kind of PH meter did you get (one of those fancy digital ones)? Someday when I find a money tree I will buy one of those for myself. They are good to have around. Now I just use one of those kits where you mix the ph solution in a canister, shake it up and match it to the chart.

lol a money tree!! isn't that what we are all learning to grow now?!

whats good DBM!!!

No sir, I got a little 3 in 1 meter, I have to read the pH manually!!! but as far as I know, for soil it is 6.8 - 6.5 for soil and 5.8 - 5.5 for Hydro!!!

JBC!!!

That was exactly what I was thinking!!! LOL!!!

I checked in on the ladies this morning when the lights came on and I checked their pH!!!

Afgoo is holding at 6.5 and GDP is holding at 6!!! now last night I checked the pH on them before they went night night!!! and the Afgoo went down to 5.8 - 5.6.... but before that, when I fed the Afgoo yesterday, the soil pH was at 6.2 and then I fed... I left the meter in there to see if it would change, and it did!!! as I was feeding, the needle did a drastic drop to 5.0!!! you should have seen my face!!! it dropped as fast as the needle!!!
So what can be affecting my pH like that to make it fluxuate like that???

ANY ANSWERS ARE GOOD ANSWERS PLEASE!!!

Excellent work on foliage feeding the deficiencies are gone. Good luck on the GDP, keep an eye on it the hermie trait may show any time during bloom more or less. If the plant is pollinated with a hermie plant then higher % of hermie will occur, if it is self pollinated then you're only getting feminized seeds which is good. Looking forward to the grow.

Hey Astonr hope your well, ain't been able to get on much visiting family and can't wait to get home to see my girls...argh screwing!

Be carfull not to over analyse them soil ph meters, I have one and there prety accurate but don't work properly inserted into medium that I to dry, the trick is to water your girls give it 1 hour after and stake it in take your reading, wait 30 mins and do it again between the 2 readings you will have a fairly good idea were you stand.

I though soil self buffered but finds it harder to buffer up adding solution under 6.5 can cause a bit of agro, but anything above is kosha.

Hope you had a good Christmas

Thanks T12!!! the GDP is the one I am babying at the moment, it is my favorite strain and I am only down to 1 seed left!!! I am saving the last seed for the next outdoor crop!!! I want to see it at it's max yield!!! can't wait to get that started!!!
Like I said about the herm seeds, I don't mind at all!!! I want and need more seeds!!! but yea I check her everyday to make sure that she doesn't get some hairy ones!!! LOL

Thanks GS!!! that is some useful info!!! I will totally give that a try next feeding!!!

UPDATE

I checked in on the ladies today and as I do every day now, I checked their pH's and here is as follows!!! GDP - 6.5 Afgoo - 6.0
so how is it that the pH is correcting itself??? I don't understand that??? I have not been able to feed the GDP or give her any water since the 23rd now when I did the transplant... but she has her green back, and she is back on her growth spurt!!!
Today I measure GDP and she is now 13 3/4 inches today!!! and she has moved into asymmetrical branching now as well!!! totally ready for flower!!! but I am going to keep her in veg til I can get the Afgoo at least back to good health, I don't want her to go into flower til she hits a foot tall as well!!! 4 more inches to go!!! COME ON AFGOO!!! LETS GET SOME FLOWERS!!!
