Seed technique instead of relying on a regular hermie because from my understanding that would pass along the hermie trait as the silver colloidal is just a chemical not an actual genotype so you wouldn't worry about passing on that allele

Easy AstonR. The reeason the pH is correcting its self if because you have re potted into a new medium, so your back to square one with pH again. Re-pot always sorts that out unless you re potting into crap. Well done keep it up man.

Repotting may not always correct the PH. I believe that would depend on the medium you use. Some of the soil out there is pretty crappy. Many pre-add a lot of nutrients to the soil. I know that most are time release, but if your plant is not healthy during the transplant than it could wreak havok and can easily burn your plants. For this reason it has been recommended to me by some expert growers to always flush your medium well especially during a new transplant. You want to flush with clean PH 6-6.5 water until the runoff is clear. Then you want to run through a weak dose of azatrol or azamax to make sure there is nothing living in the soil that you don't want living there. You can use Neem Oil to do this as well, but it stinks and I prefer the Azatrol. Azatrol is an extract from Neem anyway and is more effective. Outside of that it doesn't hurt to flush about every month to get rid of excess buildup. Of course after that you would add your nutes.

This year I am going to use coco for that reason. It is neutral and does not have any added nutes. If the medium is pre sterilized than you don't have to use the azatrol/neem of course.

Just thought I would pass on those tips to you Aston...

so what do you think is doing it to the Afgoo??? it is doing the same thing, she has risen from 5.8 3d ago, 6.0 2d ago, and 6.2 since yesterday!!!

The GDP has gone back to about 6.7 - 6.6 range!!!

I know that PH values in water can change...
I would PH my water in a 30 gallon garbage can one day and check a few days later and find a variance. As for soil, I would think as the composition of the soil changes, the PH can change. How fast all these things happen and how much variance should occur...not sure. But this is why if you want your PH to be precise then you have to check at different stages. I myself don't get that detailed.. I just do what I mentioned and flush the initial medium to get a clean start and PH water at 6.5. You can get more detailed and check the PPM if you want.

thanks for the input brotha!!! I think as soon as the soil dries back out I am going to do a full flush!!! on both plants!!! GDP has another feeding to go and then she will get a flush then, when she dries back out I will do a transition feeding from the schedule!!! and send her ass into flowering mode!!! I want to get all this ready and done and flipped by 1/5/12!!! that is the day that my school reassembles and it's a 9 week term!!! so if I start the flower on start of term, I will harvest at the end of term!!!

Sounds like a good plan.
I need to get my (_|_) back into school myself. I have a partial degree that needs completing. My degree is in Computer Information Systems, but not sure it was a great choice with all the competition out there in the computer business. I have all the required computer classes done though with just the general ed remaining. I don't want to toss all that hard work away and know I have to finish. I saved the worst for the last. Well I think the general ed is the worst for me anyway. All that english and math and stuff isn't that appealing to me, in fact I think it sux

I wish you well though with your school venture Aston.. Every bit helps these days.
I have a job prospect that I am expecting to hear from any day now. I am hoping it will work out. One thing though is that every job prospect that I have had so far, each one required a full drug test and security check.. It's like a catch 22 anymore. You want to continue to be able to smoke and medicate, but can't due to drug testing. I sure hope they can pass a law someday to rule out drug testing for cannabis. Either that or maybe we can start our own business and produce a product that will filter out cannabis from all drug screening tests Now that would be nice wouldn't it.

UPDATE!!!

Whats good everybody!!! well I have wonderfully great news!!! and some little terrible news!!!

first the not so great news!!! cus everybody loves a happy ending!!!
Afgoo is not doing so well still!!! she has gone more in between a neon green and a neon yellow color... SO....... I did a flush today!!! after the flush, her pH went back to 7.0!!! so thats why I consider this not so great news.. cus theres a little yay in it!!! LOL

Now, the GDP... She is still growing wonderfully!!! I have a lil tiny concern though, when I went to check her pH today, I got a 6.0 reading??? but then I read somewhere not to only check the pH in 1 location... so I did a 4 quadrant check!!! the other 3 checks came out to 6.8-6.7 except that 1 location where it was 6.0??? anybody know anything about this??? and how to correct the issue???

Well anyways, I set the ladies outside today to get some fresh air!!! all kinds of CO2!!! and 100% sunshine!!! it was a comfortable 72 degrees outside today so I figured, some real light could do Afgoo some good!!! GDP loved it!!! she extender her leaves straight up to the sun!!!

lets see, I have never tested the soil temps... I know it is cool to the touch, it is not warm like most composts!!! but inside the tubs, the temps inside stay at about 73 - 70... why what are you thinking???

I had similar problems were i was just reading my ambient air temps and taking for granted that my soil temp was were it needed to be, i tried everything but in the end a very wise guy told me to get a probe thermometer (cooking one i had) and dig it into the rootball about 3 inches deep and take a reading during lights on and during lights off, my lows were 12*c (53.6*F) and highs (lights on) were 16*c (60.8*F)

Idealy they should be 18*c - 20*c (64*F - 68*F ) for best results as with anything can be a bit out, anyways i was having a lockout of some nutrients, put a fan at root level and within a 4 - 5 days growth was vibrant and strong again. From what i understand all strains are diffrent, act and respond in diffrent ways, if you have one at hand its worth a try.

you know my dad has a probe thermometer that he showed me recently... I think I will have to ask him if I can borrow it!!! He has Parkinson disease, so I grow partialy for him as well, so I am sure he will not mind throwing in on the grow as well!!! LOL

I am using a brand called Supersoil... I use a 35/65 with perlite and I also use BPN Root Magic for every transplant, I use 1 tsp!!!

Yea I did, I loved the BC!!! that was so tasty!!! the blackberry had a harsh taste to it... but the medical quality of it was excellent!!! and the gods gift just didn't do much... I gave it to my brother... out of all 3 plants I harvested 26 grams!!! almost a whole ounce!!!

I am confident that Afgoo will turn around soon!!! I just did a flush and ... MORE TO COME SOON!!!.... LOL
