OMM's Social Network Grow Part 2

Yeah what Fish and Jandre said...lol...Does it still smell good? I know you're excited about CF coming to visit. Glad to see THSea posting again and truly hopes he feels better. Has he gone to the doctors at all?

Hi My Queen.

It doesn't smell bad? no.

I am excited about CF's Coming over, but warned him "No Politics"! :high-five:

THsea has lived with this a long time my Lady, he knows it inside and out. I just wish there were a cure.

Many Doctors......some lately I believe. ;)

MAYBE THE SEAL ON THE JAR WASNT TIGHT! just a small air leak and it was all she wrote. If its just to dry I think I would smoke it.
or just save it for when CF gets there and make a guinnie pig out of him if the evil trimming machine eats more of your precious stash:)

THsea and myself are very careful about closing the jars tight. You know...automatic every time.

I like your idea even better though. "I just got this stuff man, try some!". :high-five: It's called "Dead Red!".

I just think that the seal wasnt good, you can jelly and every once in a while you get one that didnt take.
and if you do get CF to try it just have 911 on speed dial and tell him he is a light weight if something goes arye:)

You know, fish cake you may be right. I don't think I changed the seal part of the lid this time.

I thanked you before for the Medi-Bomb1s. Now I am increasing the meaning of "Thank You!". They were such a nice gift from you. :thumb:

no worries man
im glad i could share it with someone else who can enjoy it

Man, if there isn't any mold or anything on it and still smells good I would smoke it. But that is just me. Maybe mix it up in a bowl with something else from harvest....As for THSea, my heart goes out to him, goddess bless him and you.

fish cake and Jandre There's no visible problems that I can see. They are very dry and brittle. They smell OK. I would hardly think of mold. One could see it quickly.

More than anything I would like to know what happened to the H? No way, I'm going to smoke it. If we can find the cause, then we should be able find a cure.:peace:

You said the humidity was good per the meter? I'm not sure how they could dry out if so... The packets are completly safe. Sometimes it takes a few per jar, or they don't keep up. Now, I put at least 2 if not 3 in each jar (of the 2" packets). I've not had this issue before. The packets will stiffen up when they are "done". Are they stiff at all? They shold still feel like they have "water" in them almost, not thick pudding. If that makes sense. I've got some that are just now starting to get firm, but most have lasted 6 months no prob. They definitely don't last forever, though.

For longer term, I've started vacuum packing my jars with a Food Saver vacuum machine and a mason jar attachment that you can get - allows you to do a good vacuum pack with any wide-mouthed mason jar. It's freaking awesome - I LOVE that thing - I vacuum pack everything now. You can even take a partially opened bag of chips, stick the open end in the machine and reseal it (with or without vacuum). No more chip clips!

I have to keep this in mind when I get to the curing process. Great info!

dont you have any moist buds that need drying, you could put a couple of these in with the dry stuff and it will pull the moisture out the wet buds and into the dry buds, i did this about a week ago as one of my old jars must not be sealing properly, so i just put a couple of freshly harvested buds in with the dry stuff and they all evened out,

I know but I still can't help but worry about him. I think when it comes to him I get very maternal....

omm, if the jar was sealed i don't see how they could dry up (it looks like they're just dry). i've had this happen when not properly sealed. i'd put a piece of citrus in an open baggie & seal it inside the jar. it'll prolly re-hydrate enough to smoke w/out being harsh. good luck.

When some of my stuff would go dry in the King Edward can, I'd stuff an orange peel in there and tape it shut with some cellophane tape, and shove it to the back of the closet. Usually added the moisture back, and made an interesting smoke later.

Thanks, Jandre. I've done that before. Won't hurt to try. Actually, to be honest, I have to ton of smoke right now and could just throw it away, but it just seems wrong to throw buds out. :high-five:

Hi X. I just thought it was a strange thing to happen. I mentioned it to see if anyone else had the same problem. I think, I'll throw all the old ones out and just use the new ones.
I don't how long or why I have put off buying a Food Saver Vacuum machine. Just too busy I guess. I'll probably get one next month. Thanks for you help.

Well, Duh! JP ! Thanks....I'm sitting here with a ton of buds and I didn't even think of it. Thank You. :high-five:
