That is not good! And how do you calibrate them?

That's a good question......I was just looking at one of them ?????

Oh! VapeDogg where are you?
:reading420magazine::Rasta:

The cheaper, digital ones are usually not able to be calibrated, sadly, in the sense of it reading correctly. You'll have to check the instructions to see if it can be adjusted, but for that price I doubt it. But, if you have a separate, accurate hygrometer you can make note of the difference between the two so that you can still make good use of it with a little arithmetic. :)

To calibrate any hygrometer or check it's accuracy, you can do so with salt:

Here's a video that explains how to do it also (there are some bloopers at the end that cracked me up):

So glad to hear you are feeling better OMM, I hope you and Closet Farmer have fun visiting. Send THSea my way when you can - I could use some help cleaning the grow room, too! ;)

Those outdoor gals look great!! :bravo:

Hi Xlr8 :peace:

I think your right on the cheap Hygrometers. No way to calibrate them. Truthfully, they must be ballpark close, I've never had mold or anything in my jars. Or just plain old luck. Your right I should buy one good one and do the math with the others. I haven't watched the vid yet. Looking forward to it.

Yep, feel better, was a one day wear out I guess. I was by your place and read what you're doing to stay some what fit. That must hurt like hell, Buddy. I sure understand why you do it. Got to stay in the now, like you said.
The past is gone.

I think Closet Farmer and family should have a good time here. I will show him all the good places to snorkel and Boogie-board. Sigh, too bad I can't do it with him. Bought some more lawn chairs for them. Jo is in one of her "not in my house" things, but I think once she sees his kids she will be happy. You know Jo. Woman has a hell of a sense of humor in her old age.

Thinking of doing a SCROG indoors this next grow...these lights should do a great job on one.

Once again, thanks for being such a good friend over the years.

THsea has a tent up and plants growing inside and out......so you would have to make him a very good offer.

Hey OMM!

The feeling couldn't be more mutual as far as the good friend thing - I value your friendship immensely buddy, and hope to be able to visit you someday myself if you'll have me. Travel has been tough due to sitting being so painful, but I hope that changes eventually. Don't knock yourself out preparing for company. If you're like me I know you will anyway, but I'm sure CF and family understand either way. :)

The exercise stuff I've been doing is painful sometimes, but often makes me feel better - at least mentally. In fact, I look forward to it now - it's becoming habit. I'm really proud of the changes I've made health-wise. Lost about 40 lbs, but now I need to stop before I fade away, lol. Crazily, I'm trying to put weight on now, never thought I'd see that day again. No more high cholesterol either, and a whole host of other ways I feel better other than the aches and pains I can't shake. It sure wasn't easy, but I couldn't stand the idea of more problems. After last major surgery, I decided I'd like to not have any more of them.

I think for the jars, you just need a good idea to go with your gut instinct. I mostly rely on my gut now, but it might be a good thing to verify it once in a while, and I'll probably do just that by buying some of those inexpensive hygrometers - that was a great tip.

It makes my heart feel so good that you have some plants outdoors again, but boy it makes me nervous, honestly!

Hope the rest of your weekend is great!!

Hey Buddy.....we will be friends for life, on 420 or not. We seem to be mentally in the same space. Travel, I remember you traveling a lot to be put into even more pain. That sure didn't work out! I just knew that you were going to be worse. Crap! I just never wanted to say that.....I should have!

I would be proud too. As you say, you've come a long ways already. Now, your wanting to put on weight? That is just too cool. I am back drinking my weight gain stuff. Stopped and lost weight again. Gulp! They have given me some even more powerful weight gain stuff now. 355 calories in each one. Gave some to THsea too. He needs to gain weight too.
I think the way exercise makes you feel good about yourself is a great motivator. I bet your wife is liking all this too. I keep hoping you will find a good plant or two to help you too.

I hear you about my plants outside. Still have to put up better defenses. Been thinking of a gate for this side of the house too.

Yep, ball park might be good enough hydrometers. Kind of like reading your plants in a way.

Needless to say keep at it X
:bravo:
