my mom is always making lists. then she has to make a list to keep up w/all her lists. when she loses that master list, she's blown up & has to start over. oh well......keeps her busy!
Here is something interesting I ran across
Warren Buffett, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers
one of the best quotes about the debt ceiling:
"I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC. "You just pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election.
The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971 - before computers, e-mail, cell phones, etc.
Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took one (1) year or less to become the law of the land - all because of public pressure.
Congressional Reform Act of 2012
1. No Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office.
2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 12/1/12. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women. Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve theirterm(s), then go home and back to work.
Now all we need to to is get this passed!
Hey John. No, I'm up late. Wanted get everything posted.
The first and best way is to order some little gadgets that are sold on the big auction site. They cost about 2-3 dollars a piece. Or less, it's been a while. I remember buying 10 of them at once. They read the temp and Humidity inside your jars.
Actually if you have a tobacco store around where you live, you may find them there.. Folks put them in humidors too.
Once you have those, you need one more item. These are pretty incredible. They are called Humidipaks.
Put one in your jar and they will keep your buds at between 63 and 67% for ever. Those you can buy for one dollar each. Just search for Humidipak.
I couldn't put the link in for some reason.
Hope that helps.....you will have perfect buds.
Well, if they were good in the first place.
If we are now trading brain cells, I'd like to offer mine up.....I would need it back before too long, but I'm sure we could work out a decent trade.
I just bought 5 more off flea bay too. Shipping was more than the price of each. But total was $20.
Thanks Brother X. Don't know if you saw the other pics I posted a few pages back, but don't worry, you get the idea. Best laid plans of mice and men, just don't work out sometimes. I never dreamed the LEDs would finish the girls so fast. Of course, now they are all finishing at once.
Fun times at OMM's again!
Well, I got them because of you OMM I kept reading about Lucy and had to get some, and then the PE description etc just made me drool.
How difficult are they both to grow?
Oops, congrats on the harvests I've missed, too! I somehow missed a page there (or two?) and I see you've indeed been busy my friend! Those LEDs have sure been doing the trick for you nicely.
As others have said, both PE and Lucy should be really manageable. Lucy does like to stretch, mine shot up a lot around 2 1/2 - 3 weeks of bloom phase. Initiate bloom a little early to keep her under control, and keep her trained and you'll love her. Unique plant, and unque high. I loved it and need to grow another soon myself... I had to cull my flowering PE for space reasons only, but I have a couple of moms and she should be a pretty cooperative plant from what I saw. Mine didn't stretch much at all, honestly.
hey OMM looks like our hours are the same even though you live on the coast and im in the midwest. your one of the many i look up too. and after showing the pics of your back yard my fiance absolutely fel in love. but i was wondering if you could teach me to PM people? if its a secret i understand or one of those things where you have to be a member for so long. any info on the subject would be a big help
Hey OMM
Wow is it already that time? Dang time flies!! Your girls look sweet! I was hoping you would have good luck with LED as you are a very prolific and well trusted member and from here it looks great! ... but do tell, how do you really feel about them now that it is almost over? Do you see any change in the meds for better or worse? Are you happy with them?
I want to do a photo shoot!!
PS I have read more of your blog, great stuff!
Hey Brother Buckshot.....I was posting to your journal at the same time you posted to this one.
Do I like the LEDs? Hell yes! These lights are a mile beyond anything I've used before. First off, the plants are finishing weeks earlier than they are supposed to. They totally caught me off guard.
The PE is the only plant I have tried yet.....and it's killer. I will be trying the rest soon and will post a smoke report then. These Advance LEDs will make a good grower out of anyone...they are that good Buckshot.
Love to have you do a photo shoot of them......you would show how beautiful they really are.....all of them are silver with trics.
Thanks about the stories...soon as I find some time they will continue!
Sounds good OG13. Have to make a secondary trade, I need "The Main Cell" at the moment. I think one of your secondary ones would out do my main one anyway. I'm just wondering how one of mine would effect you.
I've been reading your story on your blog and what a life you have had. I'm to the part where you are in Italy and have met Tony so i have a long ways to go before I'm done with it. In the late 60s the ship I was on stopped in Athens for a liberty call and we had a great time there. We found these small statues made of hash that looked like ceramic ones so we got them on to the ship really easy. Good time had by all. We also went to Crete and had a ships party on a beach there. Have no clue where on the island it was but there was a big outcropping or more like the Rock of Gibraltar that created a cove. The locals didn't like us much and it cost the Navy a pretty penny i heard. In Athens one thing i remember is at night they didn't drive with there lights on until a car was coming at them. Weird Anyway just thought I would mention it.
Hi OMM,
Nice harvest! Wow, you really have been busy. I'm just now seeing flowers, so I have weeks to go still But I love to watch them bloom so, for me the fun it just beginning.
I'm trying to buy some humidity packs...they come in several humid levels, 65%, 69%, 75%. I remember reading somewhere the perfect level was 62% but I don't see any of those. Which ones do you use? And what was the other thing you mention along with this? I can't remember what it was... my mind is going, along with other things
